Work Text:
“Caelus?! W-what are you doing here, where’s Nat?” Luka gasped, leaning away as the trailblazer showed up at the examination room instead of the doctor he was waiting for.
“Doctor Natasha is busy, so I’m covering her up while she deals with other patients,” Caelus nodded as if he stated something obvious. He walked to the table where Luka was sitting, snatching the paper sheet from his hand and reading the data written there, just like Natasha would do and, for a moment, the acting managed to convince Luka he was the real deal.
Still, Luka shook his head, coming back to his senses as some realization finally settled in. “Are you even, like, allowed to do these things? Don’t you need to be smart or-”
“What are you trying to imply?” Caelus hissed, tossing the paper sheet away, “anyway, it’s just a check up, right?”
“Y-yeah,” Luka coughed, looking away as Caelus leaned over him, “Nat said she just wanted to make sure I came back from the Xianzhou in one piece and-”
“Then I can do it,” Caelus interrupted, grinning. He pressed his palm against Luka’s chest, pushing him back until he was laying on the examination table, “she wrote down we need to check your reflexes.”
“My… reflexes?”
“Yeah, to see if your… uh, your nerves! Yeah, your nerves are still working.”
“Are you sure you know what you aHAH-” A loud, surprised squeal interrupted Luka in the middle of his track of thought when Caelus squeezed both his knees, the trailblazer’s fingers pinching right above his kneecaps.
“Trust me, I’m almost a professional,” Caelus scoffed, moving his hands up and spidering at Luka’s thighs, “what do you feel?”
“T-Tihihickles! It tickles! I-ihis this reheheally how it’s suppohohosed to go?!”
“Mhm, hold still,” Caelus chuckled - it was so easy to trick Luka that he almost felt bad for him. Almost. “Let’s see… what about… here?”
“H-HEHEY!” Luka giggled, his hands shooting down at Caelus’s in a vain attempt to stop him. He couldn’t help but laugh out loudly when Caelus began to pinch and tickle his waist, digging at the dip of his hips and them cover his stomach with pokes. “C-Cahahaelus! S-slohohow down!”
“The faster we do it, the sooner we are,” Caelus said, but made no progress as he continued to tickle Luka’s stomach for a couple more seconds, enjoying the sight before him. “Well, I think all your nerves here are working just fine. Next let-”
“What exactly is happening here?” A firm, yet gentle female voice cut through all the noise that filled their ears. “Why is my patient looking like he is about to pass away?”
“H-huh?” Luka mumbled, still a little stunned and lightheaded, “wahait, d-didn’t you send him, Nat?”
“Of course not,” Natasha giggled, crossing her arms as she watched Caelus stepping away from the examination table, “could you explain yourself, Caelus?”
“W-well, I- you see, I was just preparing him for you, Natasha…”
“I see,” she nodded, letting out a playful sight, “still, you boys shouldn’t be this loud at the clinic. I’ll hand things from here and you can continue outside, yes?”
