Chapter 1: Living Dead Girl

Chapter Text

"you didn't have to come with me here" Kate complained as she and Dick walked along the busy streets of Blüdhaven. "When did Bruce even put you up for this?" he asked her. When all of a sudden, the streets are filled with commotion as a young girl ran through busy people. Kate observed the young girl, her skin pale white, long violet hair, her knees and feet bruised, her clothes dirty and bloodied, but most especially the girl looked terrified and confused. " Wait-" Kate spoke as the young girl ran hurriedly past her into the busy road. Kate gasped when everybody thought the car had hit the girl, when only it somehow stopped just as soon as the headlights scraped against her body. Kate hurriedly ran to help the young girl as she fell to the ground, her little nose bled, dripping to the ground.

As soon as they brought her somewhere safe, Kate wondered where the young girl came from. As the young girl opened her eyes, she panicked and mumbled in fear, "Hey, it's okay- we won't hurt you" Kate struggled to befriend the girl, whining in fear and confusion. "Do you, speak? English?" Dick signed, asking the girl if she even knew how to speak. "y-yes, i came from.. home, my realm" the girl mumbled softly "You can talk? then, what's you're name, kid" Kate comforted the girl. "ворон" the girl spoke softly in.. Russian? "That must be where she came from, but- how'd she get here? Blüdhaven? Kate?" Dick muttered in confusion. "What does your name mean in, our language, honey?" Kate asked her. "Raven" Gordon muttered behind them as soon as he heard the girl speak. "You know her?" Dick and Kate spoke in confusion, "No, genius, that's what ворон means in Russian, Raven" he sighed, "How the hell did she even get here" the question remained unanswered.

"Hey, we're on our way to the hospital now, Selena's in labour" Jason spoke through the phone as Bruce spoke. "Now?? i'm on my way" his voice stern, but full of fear. As Damian groaned in annoyance. "Did i have to skip fencing for, this?" He whined like a child as Jason scolded him. "Hey, this is your little sister, babybat, be thankful i even brought you here" the brothers fought indistinctively as Alfred drove them in Bruce's luxurious limo, how ironic.

As the young girl fell asleep, questions flooded their pretty little minds like water. Kate whispered as she flashed a light on the girl's eye, "her skin is so pale, thin, almost like paper. Her hair is.. violet, and her eyes are.. violet too". "She must've fell from running, there's soil on her clothes, and.. blood" Dick examined the young girl's appearance. "Does she have like.. Kryptonite shit? Like Superman?" Gordon spoke. "Whatever this is, it looks like some Enchantress shit, look at her veins" Dick sighed in shock, the girl's veins are black, almost like Venom or some shit flowed through her, whatever happened to this girl doesn't look too good. "Enough questions, as soon as she's had enough rest, then we'll question her, in my office" Gordon finished their never-ending dread.

_______________________________________________________________

"Hey 'im here, what- how is she?" Bruce mumbled stressedly to Jason as he arrived before his wife's labour. "Did amazing, you can see her and the little one now" Jason chuckled, congratulating his father as he took another drag of his dearly-beloved cigarette. "You can't smoke here, Todd" Damian muttered sternly, his patience wearing thin. "Come, Father. you should see what i named her" Jason ordered his father calmly as he glances at Damian mockingly, annoying his baby brother in a loving manner atleast.

"Congrats Bruce but, me and Kate have this Patient to question with Gordon, we'll be back shortly" Dick's voice played out in Bruce's Voicemail.

"Daddy, i have a date tonight, is it okay if i come a little later?" Stephanie whined through the voice-message she sent.

"What? Selena gave birth?? When?" Cassandra coughed as she choke on her ceasar salad through the dial-phone.

All of Bruce's children were busy, which he understood but was still upset. Luckily Tim's had enough of his long rest due to his previous injury. "You should've just stayed home, Tim" Bruce groaned as he sat next to his wife sleeping, his little girl, Helena, coddled in his massive arms, his fingers large compared to his daughter's, but now he should know that Damian was no longer his "baby bat". "I'm fine, i'm sick of laying down, it's been what? 2 weeks?" Tim sighed. Bruce loved his children, all of them equally, but none compared when it came to Damian. Though he was absent while he grew up, he made up for all the time they wasted. He coddled Damian like a newborn even if his own son had treated him like a chauffer, even if Damian bratted around and bossed every living object around him.

That's how the Waynes worked. Though they can be murderous vigilantes, they were family. No matter if they were all adopted, they were all Bruce's babies.

Chapter 2: Beginning of End

Summary:

As the Titans' live are slowly decoded, Dick and Kori have a conversation about Damian. Meanwhile, Kate Kane continues to seek help for Raven, who is deeply contemplating on her own existence and purpose.

Chapter Text

"Too easy" Damian growled and groaned as he fought the Titan hologram bots with his mighty sword, each swing dissolving each holographic perp. "How long has he been doing this?" Garfield asked, "He's been doing this for an hour and a half." Jaime complained, while Donna just stood to watch.

"Take a break, Damian. Each member needs their own turn too" Kori's voice echoed, but he could care less. "I'm not finished" Damian spoke sternly, almost demanding. His eyebrows furrow as the holograms suddenly disappear.

"Gee, how'd that happen?" Jaime spoke sarcastically, when all of a sudden he yelps in shock, "what the hell?!" Damian scoffs as he flung his batarang towards Jaime. "Huh, i thought your bug was fast, Reyes? I just wanted to see how fast" Damian grinned, his evil skin shedding once again. "Don't mess with it" Jaime threatened,

"Hey, i think we stood on the.. wrong foot. Why don't we settle down for a second" Kori smiled, standing awkwardly between the two boys.

"So.. where'd you come from?" Dick spoke casually to Raven, "don't be afraid, we only need to know so we can keep you safe, here" Dick signalled, his fingers pointing to Kate.

"Where have you come from?" Kate asks her, in a protective manner. "Azarath.." Raven muttered softly, not even above whisper.

"This place, where is it?" Dick asks her, only for her response to stress the two even more. "I do not come from your world". "What does she mean? Like, Tamaran or something?" Dick asks Kate as he stood stressedly, his eyes almost seemingly begging for help. "Tell us" Kate spoke out to the girl.

"I escaped from our realm because it had been destroyed" Raven stared selflessly at her wrists, black being flowing through her veins. "I have.. abilities. I was taught to use them by the sisters in nunneries, in our realm."

"Do you have family?" Kate asks Raven,

"I do not know who my mother is.. i do not have a father"

"This sound like that one satanic cult to you?" Kate asks Dick, whom has absolutely no idea. "She has powers, Kate. I mean you saw that car, no ordinary, helpless girl'd be able to do that shit".

In truth, her mother was human, and her father was the Devil Himself. She had been conceived to destroy worlds

"I am not like you" Raven's voice echoes in her own mind. Deep inside, she is hesitant, afraid. Her father is Trigon, the one to destroy her precious realm, the one who had separated her from her mother since birth, and the one to have brought her down to hell. To suffer the shame of being the devil's daughter, and the shame of being a demon, that's atleast what she was convinced to believe.

. ・ 。 . ・ ゜ ✭ ・ . ・ ✫ ・ ゜ ・ 。 .

"What the hell did you do this time?" Tim chuckles at Damian's little temper tantrum, "i think Jaime's a nice boy, i think you should atleast apologize for your behaviour"

"You better fix that attitude of yours or your daddy might ship you off to an all-boys school in Switzerland, we're gonna miss you" Jason teases at his little brother.

"I'd rather that than stay here with you morons. You don't understand." Damian hissed at his brothers, Jason raising his hands in humour, smiling innocently, "Lay off me, i'm just telling you" Tim nods in denial sarcastically.

"Don't mind them Damian, Daddy ain't coming home yet, you'll be good" Stephanie assures her little brother calmly, though her eyes scold Jason and Tim.

With or without Bruce in sight, his children were always like this with each other. Wether it'd be dealing with Damian's temper, Jason's attitude, or Cass' absence, they'd either fight or go through it with each one. Besides, is that not what Families do?

- ˋ ˏ ༻ ❁ ༺ ˎ ˊ -

"I do not think i can handle this all on my own, Dick, especially Damian. The poor boy needs some manners" Kori sighs in exhaustion, all while she and Dick are on call. "Already asked the boys to help deal with the little goblin, but i bet they're just teasing him" Dick laughs. "Look, we know the kid's a little tough, cause he's never had a childhood, but i promise, it'll get through him" Dick reassures Kori, "I understand that, but i'm just.. a little worried, you know?" She nods, "So, when will you be coming back home?" She asks, "Maybe later, i'll see you" he answers. "Goodbye" the both greet each other.

Times like this weren't unusual for Kori and Dick anymore, ever since they've met each other, this was basically ritual. But most especially, since Kori wasn't much of a pro back then, about normal, earth things, cause obviously she was from another planet, no ordinary from ours.
Her customs are far more different from ours, unlike Dick, whom had grown up and got used to these types of problems. But even though the two are completely different, they both share one thing in common, Patience.

Patience for Kori, when she was able to handle her big, bad sister, Koma, for all that she's put Kori through, for all the trouble and misfortune. And Patience for Dick, when he was able to handle the big, bad bat, becoming Robin, then Nightwing, and the sudden loss of his parents in the past.

...........

"I really need some help here. Know anyone who's good at.. powers and shit?" Kate stressed

"I don't know, but for now she'll be staying with you until we can figure out how to help her" Gordon speak to Kate,

As Raven hears their muffled voices, all her thoughts come racing. She knows what everyone nearby is feeling, thinking, seeing, hearing. Her abilities may seem like a blessing, but for her a curse.

She's been fooled her whole life that she was a demon, a witch, by her own Father. From what she'd been told, she had been the reason her mother had been damaged in childbirth, that she was born a demon, and had almost killed her mother in the process. When her mother had been separated from her, she was taken in and raised by the sisters in nunneries since she was only an infant. Had it seemed so long for her to even remember her mother's name or face. Had she wished so much she was human like her mother, to experience the freedom and the rush of life. Only to be cursed by the cruelest of witches, oh, had she wished her mother had listened before giving her life up to marry, had she known, the Devil himself.

Chapter 3: Yearn

"What trouble did you cause again?" Bruce scolds Damian for his son's bratty behavior. Had he not been used to this yet?

"Bruce, it's just some misunderstanding, you know teenage boys? can be a handful, like i was to you" Jason insists, patting his brother's back.

"Hasn't even been a day and you're giving me problems already, Damian. Don't start with me, i just got home. With your sister." Bruce sighed as he stood stressedly, not even an ounce of sleep in him had he heard Helena crying and fussing all night.

"Yeah D, gotta fix that attitude of yours because you aren't a little boy anymore" Dick nodded

First time Bruce Wayne made an effort just to see his daughter be born, not like it's unfair for Damian, just unlikely. Who knew a serious and straightforward Vigilante like the Dark Knight cancelled all of his important meetings just to be able to hold his precious daughter, only had it seemed weird for Damian, cause the Daddy ain't there when he was born.

"Take him back to the Titans. You'll be apologizing for your behavior" Bruce orders Dick as he glanced at his son, Jason poking at his little brother.

"What's Kate been doing?" Stephanie asks without glancing, distracted from her laptop. "I forgot to tell you, she's been taking care of the girl we found a few weeks back" Dick scratches his head. "You only tell us this just now? Don't tell me you're adopting another-" Damian scoffs, only to be cut off by Tim, "enough of that mouth of yours, Damian"

You might already be wondering but, where exactly the hell is Cass?

˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗

Just the Titans watching TV and doing whatnot on their free time from kicking villain-ass.

"What the hell! Why'd you switch the channels?" Donna yelped in annoyance as Garfield belly-flopped on the couch. "Gotta game, sorry" Garfield grinned half-wittedly. There is no game, he just wanted to see himself on tv, on his most recent podcast interview. The one he blogs about constantly, the one he brags to everyone about how he's the most mighty, charming, dazzling Titan ever.

Garfield's behavior may seem unhinged but this is normal. His slothful persona, his prideful ego, and his confidence as the "ladies' choice" are what makes him, well, him. This is what makes the people, the Titans laugh happily. Though he may seem like an average half-witted boy, he's no jester when it comes to battle or kicking ass. If he transforms into a dog, he might just be impressing a lady nearby, but if he transforms into a Gorilla, you're getting your ass torn apart. He wasn't always the type to entertain and that only, but only to make use of the Advantage of being this green boy that can turn into any animal. He never chose to have life like this, or be the way he is. I mean if he had more options to survive from dying other than being injected by a green monkey's serum, he wouldn't be as charming or mighty as he is now. It wasn't like he wanted the ability to transform into any animal in the animal kingdom anyway.

"East wing's coming over" Conner spoke out while he was making his coffee in the kitchen. "Speaking of the East.."

"Changed a lot in the Tower, huh?" Wally's voice echoed as he explored the Titan Tower.

"Look who's back" Donna smirked.

The Titans East would usually visit on holidays and such, why now?

"What's that?" Raven points at the cosmic brownie on Kate's desk. "You mean this? It's uh.. food, you eat it, like this" Kate laughs softly as she stuffed her face with the brownie. This was Raven's first time seeing anything like a cosmic brownie, or any typical thing you'd see anywhere, Had it also been her first time being in someone else's home, in someone else's inter-dimensional realm or whatever you call it.

Kate had brought Raven home in order to help her, literally speaking, she adopted her, in the meantime. I mean the girl doesn't have a place to stay in, nor had she even memorized the spell she casted to open a portal into this world.

Every little thing Raven's eyes glanced at, she immediately became attached. This was the first time she ate.. Twinkies, or layed on a human bed, or bathed herself with a show-er. Every basic human thing, it took Raven weeks to get used to, to fit in, and in every hour of the day had it made Kate wonder whatever the hell this young girl went through, to miss out on so much, every fun thing about life. Had she known the girl never had a moment of her own.

"What kind of running did you do" Kate nodded in disbelief while she treated the scrapes and bruises on Raven's feet, from running away from wherever she came from to get here, the woods maybe?

Even if Kate helped Raven struggle with basic human routine, she thought to herself. She enjoyed taking care of Raven had she reminded her of Elizabeth, her twin sister, and herself. How long has it been since she and Elizabeth laughed at each other's dad jokes, since she could remember the last moment she and her sister had. Whatever this girl needed in order to survive, she had told herself she'd do and give anything.

"Is this how humans are?" Raven yawned, "Yes it is, why do you enjoy it?" Kate chuckled as she tucked the girl in the "big human bed", "We don't have big tubs of water in my realm" Raven added, "You mean a bath tub?" Kate laughed even more.

For Kate, it was no mistake for adopting Raven that she'd even convinced herself to adopt her forever, as her own. Had the young girl reminded her of the last moments she and Elizabeth had before they were separated, as much as she'd remembered.

"Why would you do that?!" Garfield yelled as he, Wally and Karen sat on the couch doing Jenga or whatnot. "Do you mind doing that.. anywhere else?" Jaime complained, "Keep it down a bit guys, Game just started" Donna argued, stuffing her face with popcorn.

"Jaime?" Damian called out to him, "Yeah?" He muttered. "I suppose it was wrong to challenge you and your.. alien attachment. I assure you it won't happen again" He spoke before turning to leave.

"Did he just.. say sorry?" Jaime uttered in confusion.
"Aw, see he likes you" Garfield exclaimed, tearing down the tower of blocks after he lost.

Though Jaime may seem very straightforward and serious, he's only a boy keeping up with his bug, the scarab. He isn't much of an expert when it comes to dealing with the alien attachment on his body, nor does he have the power to control the bug, i mean it has feelings of its own, different from his, though it is not new for him anymore. But what's new for him is trying to live normally all while this alien's attached to him. He and his bug have to fit in the world together. Even if that, he enjoys the advantages the scarab gives him, the extraterrestrial suit, the super powers, you get it. The only disadvantage is the effect it caused to him and his father's bond. His father always feared and doubted him because of the scarab, i mean you can't say it's easy when your own father's afraid of you.

"See? Told you he'd give in" Dick smiled softly at Kori, reminding her of his promise.

"First time we ever heard him say anything like that since we last came back here. Big Upgrade" Victor chuckled.

* ˚ ✦

"Katherine. It's been a while" Bruce spoke to Kate as he stood silently for a moment. "What did you mean to tell me?" He asked.

"It's about Jane Doe. Jeremiah called, said there's a possibility that she could be eligible to be released from the Arkham Asylum in a few weeks, if her counselors convince her judge. I came to you if you and Dick could supervise her, if soever, she gets released"

"On what claims?" Bruce uttered. "Good behavior. Although i fear there is a possibility that she'll be released, that's why i've come to you" Kate nodded.

"How so?" He said. "They figured since she's still a minor under 18, she'd be given a chance of life." She said.

"She's just 16, a bit older than Damian"

"She has mental problems, Kate. I thought she'd do better in that asylum, other than the past" Bruce spoke, his voice stern.

"Let's hope that if she does get released, she wouldn't kill anybody else."

"Also, hope you wouldn't mind if i brought somebody with me" Kate added as she pointed to Raven, sitting in the back of her car.

"This was the girl you adopted?" He asked. "She looks like Elizabeth"

"Uh, yeah. She has powers, though. I figured i could talk to Dick about her on my way here" Kate nodded.

"You haven't thought of joining her into the Titans?" He added.

"The girl isn't used to this world yet, i don't know. I'll think about it"

........

"Was that Kate?" Jason asked his father, after eavesdropping on the two.
"It was, it's about Jane Doe" Bruce sighed. "Been reading about it on tabloids, newspapers even" Jason uttered.

"Let me help you" He added. "No Jason. I'll have Dick as my accomplice" Bruce told Jason. "Come on, you never let me accompany you, not even Tim. I'll come with-" Jason insisted, only to be cut off.

"I said no, Jason. Learn to be patient, you'll come with someday when you've completely mastered in the battle field, which clearly you haven't yet. Not you nor Tim nor the rest of your siblings have mastered totally" Bruce scolds at Jason.

"Do you not trust me? I've done incredible and you don't think that's too much yet? What, are you favoring Dick more than the rest of us?" Jason argued.

"Enough. What i say goes" Bruce commanded.

Jason's patience had been more tested after that conversation he had with Bruce. Why didn't he trust him and want him as his company anymore after all the effort he put into mastering Red Hood? After he pledged to fight by his side and abandoned the anger and envy he had for Batman and Nightwing. Is his service not enough to please him?

Yet after he turned from evil and embraced justice, Bruce wouldn't let him fight by his side anymore, not as much as they did before, not even the rest of his children but Dick. He had always envied Bruce's favoring of Dick. No wonder he shipped Damian off to the Titans, cause he didn't want anymore of his children be put into danger after what Jason became of.

end.

Notes:

For a bit of beef in the storyline, i've decided to add Jane Doe (those who don't know her she's a character from the dc comics. Jane Doe has the ability to impersonate others, and is also the one who has killed
Anne Carver, Warren White, and was the one to cause the turning of the Great White Shark. This event happens to be in the same timeline as to when Deathstroke incarnation of the Titans also entered the Arkham Asylum to deal with a certain patient.)

Hope you enjoy 🦢

More of the story to come, i will only keep uploading parts of the story cause it feels somewhat reassuring that those who have read the chapters have more to read. * ˚ ✦

Chapter 4: Imitation

Summary:

As Dick's long day had just ended, he seeks comfort in Kori and talks about Raven. After years of no contact with any of the Waynes, Barbara speaks with her father and begs him to help with the case of Jane Doe.
The day after, Dick gets a call from Kori about Terra, asking him to take her back into the Titans for an unclear reason. As this all happens, Raven is awoken in fear because of Trigon, who warns her of what happens if she doesn't return home. Finally, as Vic continues to look after the Titans, who have talked about a previous member returning, Gar contemplates on why Tara fled after some misunderstanding the two had years ago.

Chapter Text

"It's been a long day, Dick. Get some sleep, can't you just worry about this tomorrow?" Kori asked. "Sorry babe, i just, can't get it off me you know? This is Jane Doe, we can't have her murder another innocent, who knows if she's just putting this big act up to get out of there" Dick sighed, his head laying on Kori's lap.

"Just get some rest, please" Kori pleaded. The two layed in silence before Kori spoke again. "When do you plan on moving in together? Like we have talked about before?" She asked, Dick took a moment before he finally spoke. "I don't know, Star. Maybe now's not the best time, but i promise, once i've dealt with a few things i'm required to" Dick reassured his girlfriend. "Also, you don't mind if.. i bring someone over to the Titans tomorrow?" He asked softly.

"Who?" Kori smiled, "the girl i've told you about, Raven. Me and Kate, we figured it be best to bring her here" He uttered, a slight hint of tense in his voice. "Is she like Donna? Or Garfield?" She whispered. "I wouldn't say she's as powerful as Donna, but even more. She has these powers that none of the other Titans have" He said.

"That is.. a lot" Kori giggled awkwardly.

"Where's Bruce?" Barry asked Vic as they walked the Hall of Justice. "He's in the meeting room" Diana muttered. "Check him out will you? He's been busy trying to lock Jane Doe up again" she chuckled.

"What's all of this for, Bats?" Victor asked as Bruce stood infront of the table, there laid piles of tabloids and newspaper articles about Jane Doe. "Any updates?" Vic added, "They were supposed to move her to Blackgate. Why change that and release her instead?" Clark's voice echoed as he entered the room to interfere. "Good behavior isn't covering any of this. Why would Jeremiah agree?" He added. "His reason was to 'give her a chance of life', or maybe he's just insane" Bruce spoke sarcastically. "Maybe he needs to be the one in Blackgate" Victor laughed to himself at his own joke.

..........

"Kate" Raven whispered, scaring Kate as she cooked in the kitchen. "Hey! What, what is it? scared me to death, geez" She gasped.

"Where are you going to take me? Why?" She asked, Kate knowing she hadn't mentioned anything about bringing her to the Titans yet, nor anything about her and Dick's conversation. "How'd you know that? what.. you can do that?" She fumbled, her hands slightly trembling as Raven nodded.

"What else can you do?" Kate asked jokingly, only for Raven to literally show her what else she's able to do. She raised her arms, and her eyes shut for a moment before they set ablaze a deep violet. Her feet lifted off the ground, then, all of the objects in Kate's kitchen moved, causing her to scurry back.

"What the fuck" Kate muttered to herself. "Why didn't you tell us, or show us before. So you're some kind of, witch?" She panicked a little.

"I guess you can say that" Raven finally spoke out loud. Her eyes staring deeply into Kate's. Those violet eyes somehow intimidated her but also reassured her that she's fine.

"How are you doing this?" Kate nods in dibelief. "I've been taught to use my powers ever since i could remember" Raven uttered. "Black Magic" Kate thought to herself. "I've a friend who might know about you. Constantine" She stood up. Raven looked up at her, a hint of fear in her face. "Look, i thought it would be better if i could bring you to the Titans, so that your powers could atleast have use" She said.

"What will they think of me?" Raven trembled a bit. "No, it's okay. I'm only bringing you there so you can.. control your powers a bit better" She told Raven. "Look.. i can't keep taking care of you. I have work and, i can't leave you here by yourself, so i figured you'd learn more about yourself if you were surrounded by people like the Titans" She sighed, "So you're not adopting me?" Raven spoke softly, visibly strung out. "I already did. I'll still be your mother. You're my daughter now, okay?" She reassured her.
It was final for Kate that she'd adopted her, in hopes she'd be her mother for life. When she had longed for something to bring her happiness, only for that something to be a young girl, who reminded her so much of herself and her sister.

"Call me mom. I'm not just your chauffer."

"Rules don't fucking exist to me" Damian muttered to himself as he climbed out of the window to escape from his father, climbing the tall, vined walls that hid his father's Manor well. He had escaped in hopes he'd finally be able to infiltrate Deathstroke's base and kill him.

He aimed his binoculars to a window, a room in which Slade's men held guns. When he glanced away for a moment, he saw Terra, walking alone in the streets at midnight. What could go wrong?
"What the hell's she doing here?" He mumbled to himself, his face visible of disgust.

"Tara" He spoke out, "Who's there?" She muttered. "It's been a while since we've seen you, ever since you fled" He said, "What brings you here? Just walking out in the streets at night?" He asked, a hint of sarcasm in his tone. "None of your business, bird boy" She scoffed.

"I heard you've been desperate, getting my brother to take you back. Why though? Why run away when you'll eventually ask to be taken back?" He smirked. "I just.. want a change" she sighed, pretending to be the innocent girl she once was. "I highly doubt that, knowing you and the things you've done. I doubt anyone's taken you in for what you are" he scoffed before disappearing right then and there. "Oh, we'll see" she muttered to herself, smirking.

"Got anything better to do other than being dicks?" Damian asked Slade's men sarcastically, tilting his head in humor. "Look who it is" one of the men spoke "if it isn't Wayne's kid, the Prince of Gotham" the other laugh as they spoke. "Another word and i'll blow your heads up" he muttered sternly. "We'd like to see you try, little boy" the men laughed in humor before Damian attacked them, every jab and kick and punch seemed unreal for a teenage boy to be able to do. "Keep your grubby hands off me or i'll leave you limbless" He smirked as he fled, leaving Deathstroke's men barely alive.

........

"Hey dad" Barbara sighed as she smiled softly at her father, who had just came home from the Gotham Police Department. "Hey Babs, what'd you eat?" He asked, not caring if he's the one hungry and tired. "Just.. some salad. Uh, i heard about Jane Doe on the news" she added, the two stared at each other awkwardly before breaking the silence. "Yeah, well don't worry about it Babs, let me handle this" he smiled at her.

"I want to help, Dad, i need to help you" she stood slowly, carefully, her waist supported by some tech plant. "No Babs. How can you help me in this condition? I can't risk you getting hurt again" He sighed rubbing his temple in exhaustion, sitting her back down in her chair.

"I can't just sit here all day, Dad. There has to be some way i can help you, i can't stand living like this-" She insisted before being cut off. "There's nothing we can do! Babs, please listen to me honey" He pleaded. "Look here honey. There isn't a day i'm not terrified at the thought of everything going wrong. You can't even walk without the consequence haunting us, sweet girl" He spoke softly to Barbara.

"Let me help you and Batman. So this disability could atleast be some advantage to me!" She argued before her father finally spoke out.

"Enough questions, Barbara. I am not having you involved with Bruce or Dick ever again. Understood?" His brows furrowed as he stood infront of the counter. "I can't stay like this, Dad. It weakens me more" She sighed in frustration, her father hugging her, holding her in his arms like a little girl.

It had been years since the last time she'd been on Batman's side, even Dick's. After what happened to her, after what the Joker did to her, her father had to protect his sweet girl, his only girl. He couldn't let her get hurt, even if you could say she'd eventually be able to walk, it still terrifies him, every thought that it gave him paranoia. He couldn't let her keep in touch with Dick in fear that him and his father'd still be involved with anything of harm.

..........

"Don't worry babe, i'm on my way home" Dick muttered as he and Kori spoke through the phone. "It's not about that, Dick. It's about.. Terra. She wanted to tell you something" Kori stated, causing him to stop for a moment from walking back to his bike. "What? What did she say?" He nodded in disbelief. After 2 years of no-say, this was the very first time again that Tara decided to reach out to the Titans, after what happened between Garfield and her. "She wants to come back, Dick. To us, the Titans" She spoke. "For what reason Kori? Why would she come back all of a sudden after all these years?" He said, a slight hint of anger in his voice.

If only him and Kori knew that Tara only needed something from them rather than just wanting a change, that's not how she is
.......

"Robin. Have my men caught him?" Slade muttered sternly, sharpening his blade. "Or are you here to tell me that failure of a plan didn't work again"

"He barely killed them. But that's not what i'm here for" Terra smirked. "I was going insane, i had to see you-" she smiled before being cut off by Slade. "Cut the crap. You can't run over in here. You assured me that they'd be able to kill that little shit for once, not for Damian to kill them" He pushed her aside.

"Don't worry, once Dick's taken me back into the Titans again, i'll kill him myself" She muttered lowly. "I'd just have to put up with his little girlfriend and those idiot teenagers he calls teammates"

........

"Leave me alone" Raven mumbled as she slept, her brows furrowed as she spoke. "Come home daughter, or i will get you myself" A deep, inhuman voice echoed inside her head, making her scurry back in fright as she woke up. Her eyes widened in fear as she looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes had been total black, her skin colder and paler than ever, and her veins pulsating, black being flowing through her evidently that she could feel it move. "No problem. I'll trap you up again" She nodded frantically to herself, rubbing her palm against her face in hopes she might only be dreaming. "And you know very well i'll get myself out. This is no dream, child. If only it were, you hadn't been born a witch" The inhuman voice's laughs echoed in her mind, making her wince in pain as she covered her ears desperately.

For 10 and 3 years, her father had brought only torment and exile into her life. If she knew it hadn't been easy overcoming the shame he'd brought she would have easily rid of him a long time ago.

..........

"I might stay here longer after all" Vic whispered to himself, drowning himself in beer as he sunk into the couch. He had been baby-sitting the Titans since Dick and Kori had errands to run, when really it'd been Donna baby-sitting instead.

"We're getting a new member?" Gar asked as he tackled Kon. "Not new, actually" Donna muttered, "What do you mean?" Jaime asked as he stood from the ground. "It's Terra. You know? The rock girl?" Kon smirked. "Her. Tell me you're lying." Gar spoke, looking down at his feet. "I'm not. I overheard Dick yesterday" Kon added. the 3 laughed to each other as Gar stayed sitting outside, thinking to himself. "I was about to forget about you" he muttered to himself.

It had been years ever since he'd seen Terra again, after what he did that made her run away and disappear for a reason. There hadn't been a day he didn't think if Tara had forgiven him or stayed to hate him for the little misunderstanding they had, and there wasn't a day he wished he could have explained things better.

end.
