Summary
Chelsea "Chase" Jewell was always a social outcast , and in her family she felt like a failure next to her 'perfect' older brother Ryland. What's worse she can't bring herself to talk about this with her well-meaning but oblivious mother or especially her cold father. She doesn't understand why she's so different. When she's dragged along to a disastrous college party by her popular crush and ends up being driven home by the police, Chase's father decides to send her away with his parents from Canada to attend a troubled teen school called Maplewood Prep. She soon learns that Maplewood Prep, and her grandparents' themselves are more than they seem. Maplewood Prep opens up a new world for Chase but it also holds dark buried secrets to her father's past, and darker secrets about her doting grandparents' ulterior motives.
