Summary
When he was nine years old, Eren’s parents decided to move away from the capital. They had enough of the noise, the bills, the dirt. Most of all, they thought their son could use a more… positive environment. They had never heard him laugh. They worried about him.
Of course, Eren was at a very important developmental stage in his life, his personality wasn’t set in stone yet. His mother was confident that living in a small, rural town would help him bloom. Perhaps he would start smiling more often.
