Barty loved waking up next to Evan, Evan was the light in his life, the hand reaching down to pull him from the darkness within himself. Barty rolled over to see Evan, the sunlight peeking through the curtains and hitting his pale freckled skin and rosy cheeks. His blonde curls are splayed across the pillow like a golden halo.
Barty gently kisses Evan’s forehead before checking the time: 6:00 AM, an hour before they had to get up for breakfast. Evan stirs, and Barty kisses his forehead again, gentler than before. Evan slowly opens his eyes, Barty notices how the sunlight highlights the gold specks in them. “What?” Evan asks with a raised eyebrow “Nothing just you,” Barty replies, his expression filled with adoration.
“Fucking sap,” Evan laughs “Sorry I just want to appreciate my boyfriend,” Barty retorts his expression not once faltering. “Come on, we should get ready before we miss breakfast,” Evan says, giving Barty a chaste kiss before getting up.
Barty really did love waking up next to Evan.
