Clint sat on the sofa on one side of Nat as Tony sat on the other. He put a plastic shopping bag on her lap and waited for her response.
"Your hands are freezing," Natasha said. "Where have you been?"
"The flea market," Clint said.
"Of course you were," Natasha said, looking into the bag that Clint had given her. Lifting a gold matryoshka out of the bag she gave Clint a melancholy smile.
"I was thinking maybe putting it in the nusery," Clint said.
"Where did you find it?" Natasha asked.
"There was a babushka running a stand that was selling them among other things," Clint said. "There's someone in there that I think is going to make you very happy."
Natasha pulled a bag of Korovka out of the bag that Clint had given here, opened it and unwrapped a piece of candy from her childhood and popped it into her mouth.
"What is it?" Tony asked.
Natasha handed a couple of pieces to Tony. "My favorite treat from when I was young. Thank you, Clint. It's been a very long time."
"The least I could do for the mother of mine and Phil's future baby," Clint said.
