   My previous work "Blood Tastes of Iron" is the prequel to this (completed) story in which an OC [female elf] Durge plays the street-smart best friend to Gortash, who struggles to choose between his political power and an authentic existence. The Morphic Pool scene is not canon here. This is the ending I felt this ship deserved!
