Chapter Text

Leo didn’t even hear Jin come in. She had gone upstairs to lie down following a tiff between the pair. It was kind of stupid now that she thought about it. He got annoyed at her for not doing the laundry. Jun hadn’t been feeling well, so everyone pitched in to take care of the chores for her. Leo tried to apologize and offer to do it quickly but that only served to vex the young man even further. It was just one of those days she figured.

Whatever. If he wanted to be miffed let him be miffed. She went upstairs and went to bed. She was tired anyways. Things would be better in the afternoon. Or so she hoped.

Then, she awoke to someone’s lips meeting hers. They felt rough, chapped in texture. They didn’t belong to Asuka. Asuka’s lips were soft. She always wore that lip balm that came in that pink, orange colored container. It smelled vaguely of grapefruit. When Leo opened her eyes, they met dark ones. Jin’s face was hovering only a few inches from hers. He was draped over her, like a heavy blanket, warm and velvety to the touch. A blush flushed her cheeks, rosy, pink. Before she could say anything, he pressed his lips to hers again.

Tender and sweet. She could smell his cologne, almost seeping into the kiss. When he pulled away again, his dark eyes lingered on her blue ones, searching for something. He felt guilty.

Leo felt her heart melt.

“Aw Jin.” She sighed, reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

“It’s all right.” She reassured, pressing her face into his shoulder, “Don’t worry about it.”

Jin didn’t say anything but seemed invigorated by her relaxed demeanor. He nuzzled her neck, taking in as much of her warmth and scent as he could. Leo grinned, letting out a small laugh. He pecked her lips one more time, before settling into the mattress with her, arms wrapped firmly around her lithe figure.

“You good?” Leo asked, voice muffled somewhat by the sheets.

“… I should be asking you that.” Jin’s deep voice resonated. Leo smiled.

“No, I’m all right. I just don’t want you to be sad, that’s all.”

“I’m okay.” He pressed another kiss to her forehead. “We’ll do something fun later.”

“Okay!”

“Now, sleep. I heard you up late last night talking to Forrest.” Jin noted.

“Ah…” Leo blanked. “I didn’t think you heard me.”

“Can hear a lot in this house. Walls aren’t very thick.” Jin said.

“Hm. I’ll have to keep that in mind.”

“Sleep. We’ll do something once you wake up.”

“… Can we watch The Shining when I wake up?”

Jin sighed. “You and your horror movies.”

“It’s a good movie!” Leo protested.

“Yes, but you should be watching nice things. Not scary things.”

Leo almost rolled her eyes. “You sound exactly like Jun.” It wasn’t any secret that she had raised them semi opposed to scary movies. She didn’t think it was good for them to watch stuff like that before going to bed. Plus to her it was semi junk. Leo was still trying to convince her otherwise.

“She’s right you know.”

“Well scary stories exist for a reason, to warn us about stuff and what not!”

“Warn us huh?” Jin parroted.

“Yeah! Why do you think Brothers grimm exists or other fairy tales? Those are all scary and-“

“Leo. Go to sleep.”

“Or what?” The blonde challenged. Jin sighed, and without warning, shifted on top of her again, burying his face into her chest.

“Wha- Jin.”

“I told you. Sleep. Because I need to sleep.” The young man said, voice muffled.

“I… right.” Leo said, a heavy blush dusting her cheeks. It seemed she’d be his pillow for the afternoon.
