   Summary

   Chloe leaves Arcadia Bay after the death of her father to become a fire watcher in Shoshone National Park, leaving behind her old life where she no longer has a home.
   As soon as she arrives at her new job, she is contacted on the radio by her boss, who introduces herself as Max and trains her. But when someone ambushes Chloe while she is running errands through the park, two female campers disappear and there are clues connected to the missing Rachel Amber, Chloe realizes that the new job is anything but the welcome change she was so desperately looking for.
   And then there's Max, who is not only quite sassy, but also surprisingly interested in women and seems to be tired of the loneliness in the fire watch tower ...

   The story is set in 2013, but Max and Chloe are older.

   The title of the story is an modified version of the lyrics of “From Yesterday” by 30 Seconds To Mars.
