Work Text:
Chanyeol had seen many types of hellhounds throughout his life, given the family business that had been run by generations of demons. However, nothing could prepare him for the cute corgi in front of him…accompanied by its gorgeous owner.
Chanyeol was a professional in the business, but all his teachings slipped right out the window the moment his eyes fell on the gorgeous demon in front of him. If anything, he wondered for a moment if he was actually an angel from how innocent and sweet he seemed. And his hellhound…was it really a hellhound? It seemed unlikely.
“I heard this is the best daycare in Hell and had to come by to see for myself,” the sunshine in front of him said.
Chanyeol felt heat travel from his cheeks all the way up to his pointy ears as the sunshine smiled so brightly after complementing his establishment. Goodness, he’d never felt so shy in front of anyone, especially given the fact that apart from being a daycare owner, he was a freaking incubus. Not exactly the type of demon to feel shy around others, that was for sure.
”W-Well, I hope my business will live up to your expectations,” Chanyeol managed to stutter after pulling himself out of his reverie…kind of.
The sunshine giggled. “I’m sure it will,” he said.
Chanyeol stared at the beauty for a moment too long to seem normal before he cleared his throat and turned his attention to the screen in front of him. “What was your name again? So I can write your personal information in case of any emergency with your hellhound.”
”Baekhyun. Byun Baekhyun,” he replied.
Chanyeol paused for a moment. Why did the name seem so familiar? He didn’t dwell too much on it and continued to list off the information given. Baekhyun was 250 years old, a young adult in demon years, and he listed off the address for one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Hell. No wonder he looked so well dressed, he was most definitely using human designer clothes. A high ranking demon, it seemed.
However, what caught Chanyeol completely off-guard was the corgi-hellhound name. “Byun Muffin,” said the sunshine.
What a…strange yet awfully fitting name, Chanyeol thought.
Baekhyun handed over the carrier with the cute corgi inside and added he would pick up the puppy in the afternoon. And Chanyeol couldn’t help it but watch him as he left the establishment. But he was pulled out of his reverie when Muffin started crying and barking after his owner. The sound broke Chanyeol’s heart, who was a softy at heart when it came to hellhounds.
He immediately took the puppy´s carrier inside the facility, where his best friend and cousin, Kyungsoo, was feeding another one of the client’s hellhounds, a blue heeler that was over 300 years old.
“New client?” Asked Kyungsoo, not taking his attention off the blue heeler.
“Yes, and you won’t believe the breed,” replied Chanyeol as he placed the carrier on the ground and opened it to take out the cute puppy. “A corgi!”
Kyungsoo looked over and raised an eyebrow. “That’s not something we see everyday here.”
That was the truth. Demons loved having hellhounds of all different breeds, specifically the more aggressive and active breeds, like work dogs or imposing looking ones, like German shepherds or Rottweilers, while others preferred the angry ones, like chihuahuas and dachshunds. But a corgi?
While corgis were working dogs, they weren’t popular amongst demons. It was actually the first corgi hellhound Chanyeol had ever seen in his 349 years of life. Corgis just didn’t have the imposing looks or reputation demons tended to go for.
“The owner must be…different,” said Kyungsoo, who went back to making sure the blue heeler didn't choke with his food, due to his old age.
”Beautiful,” replied Chanyeol with a smile on his lips before he could stop himself.
Kyungsoo sent him a judgemental look. “What the fuck, Park Chanyeol. You’ve never said that about anyone.”
Chanyeol felt himself blush, but he didn’t say anything else. Instead, he turned his attention to the puppy, who continued to cry due to his owner´s absence. That broke Chanyeol’s heart. He couldn’t stand seeing hellhounds sad when their owners left, so Chanyeol always made it his mission to earn their trust and turn his daycare into a second home for them.
And that he did with Muffin too. He place the cutie in a carry bag that he strapped to the front of his chest and carried the puppy around while he worked with the rest of the hellhounds. His very own hellhound, a Rottweiler called Fluffy, was jealous of the attention the puppy was receiving, so Chanyeol made sure to give him extra attention while he continued to carry Muffin.
It was quite an uneventful day and the puppy was soon able to run around the establishment and play with the other hellhounds, including Fluffy, who made it his mission to protect him.
Chanyeol was quite pleased by the advancement and made sure to feed all of the hellhounds at the correct times. The most premium of human souls, of course. He always bought the best for his clients, none of those cheap leftover souls that no demon in their right mind would consume themselves, and that Chanyeol knew other lowly daycares fed the hellhounds.
By the time demons returned from their day jobs (mostly scaring humans, abducting souls, and torturing sinners), Chanyeol was exhausted and felt extra hungry than usual. Most likely because his rut was nearing (a characteristic that incubi and sucumbi possessed that he absolutely despised).
It was almost closing time when the sunshine arrived. All hellhounds had left for the day, and only Chanyeol and his employees remained. He was at the front with Muffin once again strapped to his front as he said goodbye to the owner of a very ferocious chihuahua that had bit Chanyeol on more than one occasion, when Baekhyun entered and took Chanyeol’s breath instantly.
“Hello, Chanyeol. I hope Muffin behaved well today,” he said with a warm smile as he noticed Muffin asleep, hanging from Chanyeol’s chest.
Chanyeol, who was shaking all over and had his face red from embarrassment, nodded. “He did great! My hellhound Fluffy took a special liking to him! Can’t deny Muffin is a very sweet puppy,” he said in a rush from all the nerves he felt.
Baekhyun chuckled and bit his bottom lip. “I’m glad that’s the case,” he said as he stared at Chanyeol with a look Chanyeol couldn’t quite decipher. “Did he eat?”
Chanyeol nodded as he unstrapped the corgi from his chest and placed him inside the carrier Baekhyun had brought him in. “Yes, he ate a soul and a half. It was too little, but he seemed full and I don’t like to force our hellhounds to eat beyond what they can.”
Baekhyun nodded as he grabbed the carrier. “His appetite isn’t great quite yet. But he’s still so young, so I’m hoping he’ll eat more soon. Either way, thank you so much for looking after him so well.”
”It was my greatest pleasure,” replied Chanyeol as he curtsied.
“See you tomorrow, Chanyeollie,” said Baekhyun, who added a giggle when he saw how flustered Chanyeol turned.
Chanyeol could barely say goodbye after that and stared opened mouth as the sunshine left the establishment.
“Chanyeol, why didn’t you tell me that was Muffin’s owner?!” Exclaimed Kyungsoo as soon as Baekhyun was gone.
Chanyeol looked at Kyungsoo surprised. “You know him?”
”Everyone does, you idiot! That’s Byun Baekhyun, the most precious son of Our Lord Lucifer, the Prince of Lust!”
Chanyeol choked on his own saliva and started coughing. No wonder he was so beautiful! Baekhyun was the Devil’s favorite son, the most pampered one!
”No way,” said Chanyeol, feeling all air leave his chest.
And he’d acted so unprofessionally in front of him. How embarrassing!
”Muffin better be our most well-taken cared of hellhound, Chanyeol. Because if something happens to that corgi, we will both be tortured in the worst of ways by Our Lord for the rest of eternity!”
Chanyeol shuddered at the thought. He always made sure to provide the best of services for his clients, of course. But he knew Kyungsoo was right and he would have to go an extra step…or a thousand extra ones.

For the next two weeks, Baekhyun kept taking Muffin to the daycare, and every single time, he flirted uncontrollably with Chanyeol. And Chanyeol never stopped feeling unaffected by Baekhyun’s charms. He was just too beautiful and enticing, it drove Chanyeol insane.
By the time Friday afternoon of the second week came by, Chanyeol felt exhausted. Not only from how nervous he became in front of Baekhyun, but also because of his upcoming rut. They always made him hungrier than usual and only fucking like a madman with as many humans and demons as possible could possibly quench the fire that took over him.
Thankfully, Chanyeol’s rut always had a regular schedule, so knowing when it was to arrive was easy to figure out.
“Remember to restock the human soul inventory with our provider on Monday. Or we will run out by Tuesday,” Chanyeol said to Kyungsoo while they waited for Baekhyun to pick up Muffin.
Muffin had become acquainted with the establishment and he could now spend his days running around with the rest of the hellhounds. But in that moment, he was sleeping on top of Fluffy, which the latter didn't seem to mind in the least.
“I know, Chanyeol. You don’t have to worry about that or about anything! You can go and have your rut in peace,” said Kyungsoo as the front door of the daycare opened and sunshine personified walked in.
”Hello, sorry I’m late,” said Baekhyun with the brightest smile Chanyeol had ever seen.
“N-no, it’s okay,” replied Chanyeol. ”I’ll go bring Muffin.” He didn’t wait for Baekhyun to reply, but he was so nervous every time he was around him that Chanyeol started to act like a fool every time he came around.
He picked up Muffin who was still fast asleep on top of Fluffy. Fluffy didn’t seem to appreciate it, especially when Muffin cried from the suddenness of the movement. However, Fluffy didn’t bite Chanyeol. Instead, he followed Chanyeol to the front counter to make sure Muffin was okay.
The little puppy immediately perked up as soon as he saw Baekhyun and Chanyeol felt his heart skip several beats when he saw the way Baekhyun held the corgi in his arms and spoke to him like a baby.
“Close your mouth. You look like a fool,” whispered Kyungsoo in his ear and Chanyeol recomposed himself quickly. The least he wanted was for Baekhyun to notice.
“Excuse me, Baekhyun,” said Chanyeol after he cleared his throat.
Baekhyun looked up at him with a smile while Muffin continued to lick his face. “Yeah?”
”I won’t be here for the next week due to…health reasons,” said Chanyeol. He wasn’t about to tell his sunshine about his rut. That would be embarrassing. “So Kyungsoo will make sure to look after Muffin. I’ve already given him the list of instruction you gave me the other day.”
Baekhyun frowned, a look Chanyeol decided he didn’t like on him. “Are you sick?”
Chanyeol felt his face heat up at the question. “N-no, not at all. It’s just-“
Baekhyun raised his eyebrows at his reaction before a smirk spread across his lips. “Ah, of course. I understand,” he said before he leaned over the counter, Muffin still in his arms, so he could be closed to Chanyeol. “It’s okay, mine is close too.”
Chanyeol’s felt himself blush further, if that was even possible. He couldn’t seem to answer either. He stuttered, trying to figure out what to say, but only nonsense left his lips.
“Chanyeol, why don’t you leave Fluffy with me tonight too, so you can figure things out before your rut tomorrow,” said Kyungsoo, saving him from having to say anything.
Chanyeol and Baekhyun turned to look at Kyungsoo.
“Muffin can stay with us too, Your Highness,” added Kyungsoo with a mischievous look in his eyes. “My partner won’t mind having that little cutie in our home for the upcoming week.”
Baekhyun kissed Muffin’s little head for a moment before he handed him over to Kyungsoo. “Thank you. That’s very kind of you.”
“I’ll close up, Chanyeol. You don’t have to worry about it,” said Kyungsoo as he headed to the back of the daycare. “Oh, and have fun,” he added before he closed the door behind him, Fluffy following behind to make sure Muffin was okay.
Chanyeol didn’t know what to say or to think at the moment. What the fuck had just happened?
”Hey, Yeollie,” whispered Baekhyun in his ear.
Chanyeol turned to look at him and was shocked to see how close Baekhyun was to him. “Wha-“
Baekhyun wrapped his arms around his neck and pulled him closer. He pecked his lips softly before pulling back slightly, their lips still brushing against the other’s. “I’ve noticed how you look at me. And yes, I see you the same way,” he said before he bit his bottom lip. “Such a handsome demon, totally my type. So why don’t we help each other out while we get to know each other better?”
Chanyeol felt his mind go blank because he never imagined something like that could happen. “I-I usually need to feed from several people during my ruts,” he said with sadness, upset at the prospect of tasting any other creature’s vitality that wasn’t the sunshine in his arms.
Baekhyun chuckled. “Silly Yeollie, I’m the Prince of Lust, the favorite son of Lucifer. I can reassure you that you won’t need anyone else that isn’t me.”
Chanyeol didn’t know if that was correct or not, but he wouldn’t mind finding out if it was true, not when Baekhyun himself was laying the option in front of him.
So instead of fighting a futile battle, Chanyeol instantly accepted by kissing Baekhyun’s luscious lips. “Then I’m afraid I’ll have to accept your offer, Your Highness.”
What neither knew was how much that statement would apply for the rest of their existence…

Fifty years of love and the most mindfucking, amazing sex later and Chanyeol still couldn’t believe how lucky he was. Especially as he saw Baekhyun, his eternal sunshine, playing with Muffin and Fluffy, in their backyard.
After that fateful Friday afternoon so long ago, the pair had headed over to a convenience store to restock on important stuff like strawberries, bottles of wine, and some packaged souls to sustain themselves. “But we can always call one of my father’s servants if we need more,” Baekhyun had said after they paid for everything.
Immediately after, they went to Baekhyun’s apartment, which was as affluent as Chanyeol had imagined. But not even that was enough to take his attention away from the beauty in front of him.
Because in all his centuries of life, Chanyeol had never seen anyone as perfect and as beautiful as Baekhyun, who had instantly stolen his breath away when he took his clothes off in front of him.
And like the title claimed, the Prince of Lust was by far the most profilic lover Chanyeol had ever had. Baekhyun was the perfect lover during sex. He knew what to do, how to move and how to speak to get Chanyeol going. Not only that, but he fed Chanyeol better than any creature had before, so Chanyeol didn’t feel the need to look for others to replenish himself like he’d had to do in the past (though they sometimes opted to look for extras to keep things interesting).
And now, looking at the little family they’d formed in Hell, Chanyeol felt full and happy, the happiest he’d ever been. And he hoped that life would continue to be that way, especially with the little seed of their love that was now growing in Baekhyun’s belly.
