#goyuu 1815 senpai-kouhai au where Satoru-senpai is always so annoyed by that pink-haired potato-faced first year with the big, round, swirly, nerdy glasses. He was so nerdy, he was the nerd of the nerds! It didn’t help that he was also an otaku, was up to date with all the latest manga, and spent all his stipend on useless comic books.
What Satoru didn't get was how he was friends with almost everyone! Like, even people from different classes and different years know him! In what alternate universe had such a thing been allowed?
Satoru's own cousin from a distant relative, Fushiguro Megumi, told him to back off or he'll kill him if he bullied Itadori. Tsumiki, Megumi's step-sister and therefore Satoru's distant cousin as well, also subtly threatened him (with that creepy smile on her face) not to hurt that Itadori nerd! Kugisaki Nobara, a friend of the pink-haired nerd, always gave him the stink eye whenever he was around as if Satoru was a bad stain on a perfectly white blouse. And even Nanami, Tsumiki's classmate and someone he didn't expect to be a friend of that pink potato, gave him either a deadpan or disapproving look every time he was in the vicinity! Not to mention how Suguru and Shoko somehow always reprimands him whenever he just thought of teasing the pink-haired nerd!
Okay, so maybe he was a bit of a bully, but he couldn't help it! That pink potato had thick-rimmed, round, swirly, nerdy glasses that screamed "Please bully me!" and somehow, only Satoru could see that!
That's not all because did that pink potato even have eyes? His glasses were so thick, Satoru couldn't even see if there were any eyeballs behind those glasses! What the hell! What if he had 3’s for eyes? Or maybe even x’s for eyes? That’s just…wrong!
So, fed up, Satoru kabedon'ed him in the hallways after class, uncaring of the students around, took those ugly glasses off, and froze.
Looking up at him, with perfectly trimmed pink eyebrows and behind squinty lids with perfect pink lashes, were the most unfocused, luminous, sparkly, and shiniest honey-brown eyes he had ever seen!
"Uh, Satoru-senpai? I'm sorry, I really can't see without my glasses. Can you give them back to me, please?"
Yuuji had his palm splayed open, with slight tremors on his fingers, hoping that Satoru would lose interest and let him go quickly. He's aware he's being bullied, but Satoru-senpai hadn't physically hurt him yet, maybe called him a few names and made mean remarks, but not once had he raised a hand against Yuuji.
Satoru, for his part, put the glasses on himself and everything just made his head ache!
“You’re fucking blind!” Satoru explained, immediately taking Yuuji’s thick-rimmed glasses off just as the younger flinched at the intensity of his voice.
“Well, yeah,” Yuuji said awkwardly, looking at Satoru’s general direction but not really meeting his eyes because he. couldn’t. see. “Legally, I’m partially blind. Oh, I have a proof of identification for that if you wanna see—”
Yuuji had started reaching out to his pocket to feel his wallet and show Satoru his ID but he felt something being placed on his face and suddenly his vision was clear.
“Thank you, Satoru-sen—” Yuuji had backpedaled a bit at how near their faces were, but what really worried him was, "Senpai, your face is so red! Are you okay?"
Sky blue eyes widened and Satoru made a mad dash away.
Suguru and Shoko found him at the rooftop, crouched near the door, hands on his red, steaming face. Satoru was mumbling words they didn't understand except for a few things like: "Itadori." "Gold eyes." "Cute." and "Fuck! He had the cutest face ever! Why the fuck did he have to hide it behind those nerdy fucking glasses?" (The last one was screamed at the top of his lungs.)
The next day, Yuuji was copying Megumi's notes from the previous class as his classmates made idle chatter in the background, when the door was loudly slid open and in came one Gojo Satoru. The whole room quieted, watching as the the most popular boy in school regarded their glass with his signature snarl, looking around and looking for something.
When his eyes landed on Yuuji, suddenly his demeanor changed and became a bit rigid as he walked mechanically towards him, slamming something black on Yuuji's desk.
"Open it!"
Yuuji confusedly looked at the black thing on his desk and realized it's a glasses case. He opened it and found a red-rimmed rectangular glasses sitting pristinely inside the felt-lined case.
"Wear it!"
Yuuji was still admiring the new pair when the command came and made him jerk. He had never taken off his glasses and put on the new ones so quickly before. Then, hesitantly, Yuuji looked up. He didn't know if it was because the new glasses were probably not the right grade but senpai's face just turned a shade of pink.
He was cut off before he could inquire about it though.
"Wait for me at the gate after class. We're going to my doctor to have those adjusted if needed."
Satoru was about to walk away but Yuuji held the hem of his untucked uniform to stop him, immediately letting go when Gojo turned back to him.
"I'm sorry, it's just...is this...mine, now?"
"Well duh! Aren't nerds supposed to be intelligent?"
"But...I have my own." And pointed at the round glasses on the table.
Satoru slammed one hand on the table, making Yuuji jump, before his old pair of glasses were waved too close to his eyes enough for him to go cross-eyed. "This! Deserves the trash! It's ugly, it's cracked, and it's already chipped! Do you want broken glass to get in those blind eyes of yours make them even more useless?"
Yuuji shook his head vigorously.
"Thought so," Satoru said as he left, throwing the round glasses over his shoulder for Yuuji to awkwardly catch it with his hands. "Don't forget later you, pink potato!"
And as soon as the doors to their classroom closed, Yuuji's classmates crowded him.
In an empty classroom elsewhere, as soon as he stepped in, Satoru's long legs turned jello and fell gracelessly on the floor. Suguru and Shoko, who had been following him behind him, watched in amusement.
Satoru was mumbling again, lost in his own world, but this time, they heard it.
"He accepted it," Satoru said to no one in particular.
"Pretty sure you forced him to take it," Shoko said, straightfaced.
"That means we're together now."
"That's not how this works," Suguru said, shaking his head.
"He loves me."
"No, you’re delusional," Suguru added.
“We’re going out on a date later.”
"You’re a lost cause," Suguru and Shoko unanimously thought.
Poor Yuuji.
