Work Text:
When Michelle woke up to sounds of someone vomiting and sobbing, she immediately pulled herself out of bed. “Birdy,” she called out to the younger woman, who whimpered in response. “I’m coming in, sweetheart,” she warned Blue and when she opened the door, Blue was sitting against the wall, trying to keep herself from looking whenever she needed to be sick. “Is puking helping?” Michelle asked, wanting to know how to help Blue. The younger woman let out another whimper.
“I don’t think it is,” she responded after a few moments. “I know I woke you. I’m sorry,” Blue said and Michelle blinked at the apology. Why is she apologizing? People get sick sometimes. Michelle thought.
“It’s okay, Birdy. Do you want me to help you back to bed?” Michelle only wanted to make sure Blue was okay, that was the important thing right now. She watched Blue as the younger woman started to get sick once again. She waited by the door, knowing Blue would tell her once she was ready to go back to bed. We already stocked up on soup. She thought, already knowing she was going to warm up some chicken noodle soup in a crockpot.
Once Blue was ready to go back to bed, she looked up at the older woman and lifted her arms. Michelle smiled a soft smile at Blue before approaching to lift the younger woman into her arms. Michelle carefully carried Blue to bed, trying to not jostle the woman’s stomach, knowing she didn’t feel well. Once she tucked the younger woman into bed, Blue settled down as she pouted. Michelle wanted to kiss the pout away but she knew Blue would politely stop her from doing so.
“I’m sorry you don’t feel well, Birdy,” Michelle wanted to give her some medicine but she knew her wife was going to wait until she could stomach some food to take some. “Do you want cuddles?” Blue’s eyes brightened up at the aspect of cuddles.
“Yes, please,” as soon as Michelle got the okay, she climbed into bed, ready to cuddle her cute wife. She wrapped her arms around Blue and carefully pulled her closer, hoping she wasn’t making her stomach upset.
“I will give you some soup and medicine later,” she told Blue, who melted in Michelle’s arms. Michelle didn’t fall asleep until Blue had drifted off into sleep. When Michelle woke up once again, Blue had somehow moved closer, her arms wrapped around one of hers. She smiled softly, hoping Blue was feeling a little better. Michelle drifted off to sleep once more when Blue remained peacefully sleeping,
