Jacks POV
I wake up with the feeling of Evangeline's pressed up against me. I open my eyes but don't move as to not wake her. I look through the slightly open curtains and see the leaves slowly float down from the trees. The sky was a beautiful crisp sunset. The sun glowed a golden yellow. A smile spread across my face as I see my little fox sleeping peacefully wrapped around me. Then I feel Evangeline nuzzle closer, her head resting on my chest. I press a gentle kiss on the top of her head
"Hey" she murmers softly into my chest
"Hi" I whisper back "how did you sleep?" I say as I tuck a strand of her soft, colorful hair behind her ear.
She looks up from my chest "good"she says, her voice sleepy. I look at her beautiful lips and thank the Fates then I can finally kiss them. I lean in and give her a quick kiss. Mine I think finally she can be my little fox and nobody else's.
She turns around and presses her back to my chest and I wrap my arms around her, our legs intertwining. I love the way she fits perfectly in my arms. I feel the fuzz of her cozy pajama shirt in-between my fingers. I nuzzle my face into her neck and we stay there for a couple more minutes absorbing each other's warmth in the absolute bliss of a home that is The Hollow.
I hear her stomach grumble and I asked if she's hungry, she denies and cuddles closer but her stomach says otherwise. I gently get out of bed and ask her what she wants me to bring her, she starts getting up insisting that she comes with me. I tell her no but being the stubborn little fox that she is she insists with sleepy eyes and bed head. I scoop her up and look into her beautiful grey eyes how did I get so luck?
"what are you doing" she squeals
"we're going to get some food" I reply simply as I press a kiss to her forehead
"okay" she mutters into my chest. I trace little circles on her thigh where my arm wraps around her legs. she squirms and flushes a pretty shade of pink. She's so adorable when she's flustered. I hold her tighter and softly say
"squirming makes it harder to carry you you know" I continue to trace her thigh but instead of squirming she just buries her head in my chest. Once we get there I set her down on the chair next to mine and we eat our food in comfortable silence.
Evangeline's POV
When we finish our meals the sweet Fall taste of the food still lingers on my tongue as we walk back to our room to get ready for the day. Fall is my favorite season, bringing cozy afternoons, sweaters, hot chocolate. And of course lots of cuddles from Jacks who is too worried about me catching a cold. I open up the curtains and crack open the windows letting the fall air blow gently in my face.
I turn around and walk into my closet. I end up putting on a pretty laced back dress that Lala gave me. I put it on with ease as I got used to lacing up my dresses my self after my mom died and my stepmom never seems too happy to help. I look in the mirror and see Jacks reflection looking back at me "what?" I ask
"nothing"he answers as he walks over and wraps his hands around my waist giving me a hug I stifle a laugh and turn around to face him, smelling his Smoky Apple scent. It brought back so many great memories. I give him a quick kiss and try and pull away but he pulls me back and he gives me a longer fiercer kiss
"Jacks!" I giggle against his lips but he doesn't stop. I lose myself in his lips for a moment. I eventually pull away even though I didn't really want to. I turned back towards my mirror and start doing my hair as a simple over the shoulder braid while he changes. I catch a glimpse of his bare chest and my eyes linger. He flexes his muscles knowing full well what he was doing. "you like what you see?" I turn around and meet his eyes
"Maybe..." my cheeks flush a soft pink glow.
He smirks and says
"if I knew all it took to get you this flustered was to take off my shirt I would have done it sooner little fox" he remarks as he puts on a shirt and kisses me again. He grabs my jacket and puts it around my shoulders then grabs his own. I look at his silver blue eyes as we walk out the door and start our day, together.
