Soriku Oneshots

Summary:

Basically I've decided to make a lot of oneshots while I still try to get the motivation to finish one chapter for a long series lol. I'm primarily going to focus on fluff for now, but maybe I'll try out angst and smut? So, tags will change over time haha.

Keep in mind, ages of the characters will vary from chapter to chapter as well as the AU, so... Yeah. Enjoy! I hope you all have a good day, a good night, a good afternoon, a good morning, and good health.

Chapter 1: Storm Scares

Chapter Text

Riku, bored out of his mind, quietly scrolled on Instargam. He sat on his plush bed in his house on Destiny Islands, a storm raging outside the warm comfort of his home. His large window's curtains had been pulled aside to allow for the views of water droplets beating on the window and the palm trees swaying from the rough winds. The occacional small bolt of lightning would pull Riku away from his phone as he tried to get a small glimpse out of curiosity. When he realized missed his shot, the silver haired boy would go back to scrolling, mainly looking through Sora's profile ("So that way I would be caught up on anything new he may bring up." Riku would say in his defense).

Some time passed before Riku heard a quiet tapping on his window. He ignored it, thinking it was the wind. Then, the tapping turned to banging, and when Riku finally looked up, he saw nonother than Sora standing there in nothing but some some jeans and a long water-proof jacket. Riku flinched in surprise before quickly running to open his window and let Sora scramble inside, then slamming it shut once the brunette was in the comfort Riku's bedroom.

"Uh... Hey, Riku!" Sora gave a slightly nervous smile and a small wave of his hand.

"Sora... What the actual fuck."

"Language!" Sora scolded. Riku turned towards Sora after verifying his window was properly shut. He leaned against the window, the cold glass touching some parts of his shoulder blades and forcing the smallest shiver down his spine.

"Sora, it is 11 at night. There is a tropical storm outside, potentially a hurricane. And you: Got out of your bed, walked through the storm, climbed onto my balconey, and got into my room. And your concerned about my language?" Riku questioned with a deadpan expression, causing the brunette to squirm where he stood. "Sorry, I guess..." Sora mumbled. Riku could only sigh at this and pointed towards the bathroom.

"Go get cleaned up. Your gonna get sick if you stay in those clothes. I have some of your chlothes from the last time you slept over." Riku stated simply, walking back to his bed to plop down on in. Sora watched, a grin growing on his face. The brunette thanked Riku, grabbed some of his old, forgotten clothes, and quickly walked into the bathroom, the sounds of the shower turning on following only mere seconds later.

Riku sighed and texted Sora's mom that the boy was at his house. Sora had always gotten in trouble when the duo were younger for leaving home without telling, gaining a long lecture (for both of them) about how dangerous wandering around was, even with eachother. Though, at their ages now, Sora would only get a small slap on the wrist and an "I'd let you go if you asked" speech.

Riku received a reply form Sora's mother a few moments later- A simple thumbs up.

Sora came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, wearing a baggy shirt and basketball shorts that seemed to fit him het looked way to big for him. The boy's spikey hair drooped slightly from being wet but would form back into its iconic shape given time. He walked over towards Riku's bed and fell onto it, landing close enough to Riku see that he was texting his mother. Sora looked at Riku with a pout. "Ratting me out already?"

"Well, if I didn't, both of our parents would chew us out in the morning."

"Fair."

The two sat in a comfortable silence for a bit before a bolt of lightning shot across the sky, followed by a moderately loud rumble of thunder. Riku looked out of his large window in awe. Sora, on the otherhand, flinched and just inched closer to Riku, begining to tremble slightly. "...Ah. I forgot you were a scaredy cat." Riku teased and stood to close his blinds. Sora could only weakly protest with a "N-No... Not scared.... exactly..." Either way, Riku closed the blinds. He walked back towards Sora and sat on his bed before saying, "So, you only came here because you were scared, huh?"

"I'm telling you that isn't it!" Sora whined. Riku chuckled at the response. "Whatever." The two fell into a comfortable silence until another crackle of lightning and boom of thunder filled the silence. Sora harshly flinched at the noise, quickly moving towards Riku. The silver haired boy sighed, deciding to take the brunette into a small hug and lifted the blankets to cover them both. "R-Riku...." Sora sputtered with a small blush. "Shh. I'm tired and if you keep getting scared all night, I doubt I'll get a blink of sleep." He spoke, eyes already closed on Sora.

"But-."

"Shh."

Sora slightly pouted at being cut off, but soon fell to sleep. The very thing he hated became a sort of white noise in the warm embrace Riku offered. The man in questions stayed up for much longer, listening to the sounds of rolling thunder and watching the flighting flash across Sora's face. But, he still looked so beautiful. Riku couldn't help but admire such a face in the same ways he did when they were children. After a kiss to Sora's forehead, ever so light and delicate, Riku soon succumed to sleep.

The next morning, Riku's mom went to go wake the boy, yet saw Sora in his bed as well. Although surprised, she grinned and snapped a picture of the boys, quickly messaging Sora's mom that she had won the bet.
