Work Text:

Pov _________

I've always had trouble making decisions, ever since I could, I never understood how to choose between this or that if both seemed right.

So, when my family just says something and that's it, I feel more relieved, less in this situation.

Basically, my father needed to be transferred to do a job in another country, and guess what? We came! To Japan... I couldn't believe it.

But luckily, I got a friend, his name is Souichi, he's kind of weird and bizarre sometimes but, he's my friend, he even helps me decide some things from time to time, I kind of like him.

Narrator's POV

_______ once again walked home alongside Souichi, in the last few months this routine had become more than common for both of them. The boy even liked her, she was a manipulable person, too kind to stop being his friend if he did something wrong, also defending him if he did, who doesn't like people like that?

Anyway, one of the things I liked the most was how recently he started to have power over her life, how? You would ask if you were interested, simple, the girl started to ask his opinion on things, it started with the simplest ones like how to tie her hair, what color shirt would go best with certain pants and those things. But over time he noticed that she not only asked his opinion, but obeyed him if he used the right words, and this left him very intrigued.

'How far will she obey me? Will she listen to me if I tell her not to do something?' These questions ran through his head with amusement, he wanted to test, to see how far he could go.

"Hey, Souichi, I was in doubt, I wanted to watch (series A) but I also wanted to see (series B), I don't know what to choose, what do you think?"

He smiled at the question, trying to hide his excitement.

"I don't know, any" He decided to start without saying anything, to see how she would react.

"any one doesn't count, choose one" She insisted and it made him smile, just as he imagined.

"well...then in that case...(series B)" He answer

"Okay, thanks Souichi"

Time passed, so each one went to their home, he, habitually, went to mess with his curses. After a few hours he received a phone call, it was you.

"Hey! I watched the series you chose, it's really good, I'll ask you more often!"

That was a great start.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time passed, and the questions didn't stop, and as they went by their importance increased, going from simple things like which series to watch until finally-
"So...do you think I should text him? I don't know if it's a prank or not...I don't want to be teased later..."
He tried to contain his excitement but it was almost impossible. The situation was: a boy left his number in your locker, but you were in doubt whether to call or not, afraid it was just a prank.
The thing was, he saw the boy putting the letter in, this boy had been wanting to talk to you for a while, it wasn't a prank, but letting you send him a message would mean that you two would start dating, and eventually you would stop paying attention to him.
So he did the obvious
"you should tear it up, i'm sure it's a joke"
And he didn't need more, you agreed, with your head down you stood up and tore the paper into the trash, he was amazed.
He always wanted a servant, he just didn't think it would be so easy to have someone at his mercy.
You went back to your desk, which was in front of Souichi's, with your spirit shaken. Deep down, you wanted to call, but you were too scared to do so, so you just accepted.
"Hey, are you really going to be like this just because of this? how ridiculous"
When you heard the boy's voice, you just looked away, shaking your head.
He looked at you for a second before snorting, taking a voodoo doll out of his bag and placing it on the table.
"let's punish the bastard for being an idiot"
He said with the same bizarre smile he did when he wanted to curse someone, but under the circumstances it cheered you up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And it only increased from that day on, the boy couldn't complain at all, it was so gratifying to just say a few words and that was it, you obeyed, you isolated yourself or even upset someone he didn't like, that was good.

And of course, when you questioned his decision too much, he had an ace up his sleeve especially for you, he said 'well, do as you wish, later don't say I didn't warn you'.

And there you were, in his hands again, just as it should be.

~~~~~~~~~~~
The boy was once again in his room, isolated from the rest of his family while he took care of personal matters, until he heard the doorbell.
He walked towards the door, cursing as much as he could, before opening the door and finding you standing there, head down.
"Ah, it's you, what are you doing here?"
You didn't answer immediately, just asking to come in, he suspiciously accepted, opening the way for you, while you followed the already known path to his room.
"So, what happened? It's late, can't you see me at this time?"
He asked, in a somewhat disinterested voice, already thinking it was another futile and insignificant thing that you insisted on telling him.
"Remember that boy who gave me his number a few weeks ago...? So... I went after him, to question him about it... but... he called me ugly and made fun of me for believing that"
You said as tears began to run down your cheeks, the boy was surprised by the tears but not by the situation.
It was obvious to him, the boy had been embarrassed by the rejection and decided to make it seem like it was just a joke.
"Uhh...forget about him, he's just another one of the thousands of idiots at school"
He said, not really knowing how to deal with you, but before he could say anything you threw yourself into his arms, still crying and apologizing.
"I should have listened to you, of course it wasn't serious...sorry, you were right, you always are"
He was surprised but smiled when he heard this.
"kekekekek, well, there's no point in dwelling on who was right and who was wrong...but that serves as a lesson, doesn't it?"
He says, giving just a few comforting pats on her back.
"How about we put him to hibernate, there's a great hidden spot in the forest that I've specially saved, kekekek"
You wiped your tears away, smiling weakly at him as you nodded.
On the way to the place he thought, he thought he could have told you, he could have reassured you and ended your tears of sadness...but he didn't want to.
For one reason or another he didn't want you to walk away from the hug, from the realization that he was the only one you could truly trust, and it would stay that way.
