Summary
October 1993. Precocious 12-year-old Penelope Featherington, living with her family in Paris, is paired with 15-year-old Colin Bridgerton in a French/English chat exchange. Despite their differences in age and temperament, they form an instant connection which, over the course of the next twelve years, becomes an unbreakable bond.
April 2006. Penelope at last agrees to meet in person, confident now that her childish infatuation with her pen pal is under control and that she won’t be entirely wrecked and devastated by his reaction when he sees her.
