Work Text:
Najin had left earlier this morning to get stuff at the market and inform Turtle that he would be taking time off. So he would be at-least a few hours, probably less if he decides to just come straight here from the market.
He had walked here with Nagyunn and left him at Lauzun’s house. Not that he minded, he was actually quite happy since he was planning on going to see the visiting adventurer anyway.
The raven haired Knight smiled happily from the middle of the living room, back perfectly straight, at attention. He was looking at the long haired blonde as he was looking over the place and cleaning things up. Lauzun had insisted that he needn’t do anything, or at least let him help, but he was told to stay put. He wasn’t too bothered with it knowing that it was just a way of showing care by the other young man.
His eyes fallowed the blonde as he walked around, the smile on his face warm and a little less tense than his usual smile that probably looked like he practiced it in the mirror. Not that that would be a wrong assumption. The knight didn’t like to use that smile in front of the adventurer, that would just put him on edge as well. Lauzun was glad Nagyunn was visiting, he alway visited his brother a few times a year. On his visits he would alway see Lauzun, not that that was not a goal in the adventurer’s visit as well.
The raven haired young man didn’t usually get that much time alone with him, on account of his brother, so when he was told he would get a few hours of just them, at his house. Just them at his house, with no Najin at his house with them. At his house… the two of them… it felt so nice he almost split into a grin in front of the blonde knight.
They had a few of these moments in the past visits, but that was not very much at all. They never really had much privacy together like back in Woodin, and that didn’t really count either. Back then they… or at least Nagyunn wasn’t in the right headspace to think of him like that-even though he did-, much less act on it-which he definitely didn’t. Only when he came for his first visit during his and his peers knighting ceremony did he smile at him so freely.
It was the most beautiful smile Lauzun had ever seen, it was like the ones he had when he talked about the places he wanted to see, except this one didn’t pass like a mayfly. He alway smiles like that now.
The knight looks at the young man as he squints at the dust on the pathetically small collection of books in the corner shelf of the living room. He really doesn’t remember how they started, he can’t remember who made the first move or if it just flowed naturally. The knight thinks it doesn’t matter, no point thinking about it.
He keeps his eyes trained on the blonde as he finishes dusting off the bookshelf-well sneakily judging the collection, or lack there off- and walking over to inspect the wooden table. Actually they had limited time, he couldn’t just let this neat freak have his fun. Shame though, he was concentrating so hard and he looks cute when he- off topic.
Lauzun gently calls “Nagyunn.”
Nagyunn looks up from the table that he did not seem fond of for some reason, probably the splintery surface, he never liked things that splintered easily. Always concerned about him and Najin getting pieces of wood under our skin and crying or getting an infection. “Yes Jun.”
Hearing the nickname made him feel warm inside. The blonde adventurer always made him feel warm inside. “We only have a little time together, let’s not judge the table and dust bunnies.”
Nagyunn starts “no worries, I’m happy to-”
Lauzun finishes “-no you’re not.”
The knight smiles, its that simple, unassuming smile. “Because Najin hasn’t been informed about us.” Not pointed. “And we can only be sweet with each other in secret.” Definitely not pointed. “Why don’t we make the most of this.”
Nagyunn deadpans “how passive aggressive.”
Innocent simple Lauzun smile “don’t get what you mean.”
The blonde responds in a slightly monotone voice “I bet ya don’t.” Obvious sarcasm, his eyes always drop slightly when doing lazy sarcasm. Lauzun liked how they did that, it made the sheen over his irises shift around, making the crimson eyes look like a candle burning late into the night- off topic.
The raven haired boy walked closer, leaning in to peck at the others cheek. His smile turning slightly more dreamy, and his emerald eyes looking like they are melting and churning. “I missed you a lot. Five months is a long time.”
Nagyunn takes his hand from the table and rubs it together with his other hand, definitely flustered. His expression is calm but his body language is a little more drawn in, mindful of the space he his taking up in front of him. “It definitely is, I suppose you need my attention more than your house.”
“Definitely”
“Wouldn’t hurt ya to dust a little more thought.”
“We agreed that wasn’t important.”
“We agreed it wasn’t that important, oh you could also get a few more books- there’s actually this one that I read a few weeks ago that I think you might e-”
Before he could get to into one of his usual rants- not that he doesn’t love them but there were more important things to get too- Lauzun puts his hand on his waist and one on the side of the other’s cheek to pull him closer to kiss the corner of his eye.
Nagyunn closes his eyes in surprise then blinks them open. “Hay I was talking.” He say indignantly.
“Please continue” the raven haired man trails kisses along his jaw. “I love when you talk, and the sound of your voice, and how happy you are when you talk about things you are interested in.”
Nagyunn squirms a little under the sudden affection. “I wasn’t happy talking about a book.”
Lauzun rubs his waist, tracing soothing circles with his thumb as he whispers in his naïve voice well pressing his lips to the shell of the blondes ear. “Liar, liar pants on fire. It’s wrong to be dishonest you know.”
Nagyunn huffs, trying to keep his tone even as he reprimands him. “Oh hush you, and since when have you ever cared when I lied,”
He simply answers “since know, or at least when you deny such a cute thing you did. I like seeing you happy.”
Nagyunn’s giving him that look he gives him when he thinks he’s being a simpleton, or too blunt. That means he’s getting to him.
“When did you say Najin would be back again.” Nagyunn asks as Lauzun trails closer to his mouth.
“In at least another hour.” If of course he didn’t do what he said he would, go to see Turtle, which he knows he probably didn’t do and skipped it.
“You said that weirdly” Nagyunn squints his eyes, regarding him with suspicion.
“Did I.” He said with only half attention, the other half long committed to giving the other affection.
“Is there a chance he will come back sooner then you said Lauzun.” Nagyunn shifts away a little, slight worry crossing his face.
He looks into his crimson eyes, expression genuine and straight forward. “so what if he does.”
Nagyunn looked slightly taken aback. “B-because he might not react well, you know how he can be to new things. Now come on let’s get up if he could be back soon.”
Lauzun’s mouth tightens downward, he loved Najin don’t get him wrong, but to have every moment of their interactions revolve around him even when he wasn’t there wasn’t at all fair. The knight takes a strong step forward, pressing the adventurer between him and the table. He got close to the other’s face. “I can’t help but notice I haven’t gotten a single bit of affection back.” He squints his eyes, playfully making a dissatisfied face.
The other man pauses and looks him in the eyes, seeming to consider his words. Even though Nagyunn really didn’t think it was a good idea to be caught by Najin this early on in their intimate relationship development, he leaned forward and kissed him anyway, softly pressing his lips to the other in a long chaste kiss. When he pulled away Lauzun could see the light dusting of red on his cheeks, although it probably wasn’t that different from his own. He must have realized he really hadn’t reciprocated at all and felt bad.
“Thank you” he says with a slightly cheeky, possibly even a little proud smile.
“We probably have a little more time.” Nagyunn didn’t look like he was calculating Najin’s route and speed and possible stops like he usually would when making a guess. He was just looking at him with want, and that made the warmth in the pit of his stomach spread over him in waves well also somehow sending shivers up his spine.
How perfect this all was, if only he could do it anywhere anytime. He leaned forward and pressed his mouth to the crown of Nagyunn’s head. He had such soft hair, it just looked so deceptively spiky and rough. But it was soft like a dandelion, and it smelled so comforting. When they lived back in Woodin it just smelt like pine and the trees around their house and had that nice scent of a bonfire always lingering in it. But know it also smelt a little salty, and a bit of grass, and that smell warm winds carry.
It was a little different but nice all the same… he really was perfect.
Then he heard someone cheerily calling out Nagyunn’s name well swinging the door open-did he forget to lock it?- and it trailing of after no doubt having seen them.
It was without a doubt Najin, he had seen them being intimate, well maybe just a little affectionate. He definitely won’t be happy.
Oh well.
