Draco sat at Harry’s bedside in St. Mungo’s, reading The Quibbler as his husband grumbled, again, about being stuck in hospital. Draco could remind him, again, that it was his own damn fault . What man in their sixties thought it was a great idea to try and relive his Quidditch glory days by performing a Wronski Feint for their grandchildren?
Harry Potter: Idiot Extraordinaire.
Draco had his scare when he’d heard Harry’s bones break on impact. Several of them. Draco got his fear and frustration out by yelling at Harry when his husband woke from his induced sleep. Seeing Harry’s face twist in revilement when he was forced to drink Skele-gro was vindicating, too. It is a disgusting tonic. Served him right. Harry had to have a whole new skeleton now.
Their daughter, Faith, bustled around her father and Harry grumbled at that, too. He’d always hated being fussed over. But he smiled when their grandson, Amani, continued shouting about how cool Harry looked while he did his Feint, Right up until the end, there, Granddad. So close!
Their granddaughter Farah was in the corner, trying to replicate the move while still on the ground. Luckily.
Draco could only look at his active family and smile.
