It’s not often when everyone can hang out these days. Lukas had spent days planning, scheduling, and arranging for this dinner that Jesse had to force him out of the house a few times. In the end, it turned out amazing but Lukas feels a bit stiffy in this suit that Sky City had made for him; along with the other outfits for his friends.
Lukas brush down the coat with a slight frown; the suit isn’t bad with the pleasing colours and the way that he fits but it’s just not him. It’s been a few years since Romeo and Xara had joined them – along with those living in the Underneath – and Lukas wanted to do something nice for everyone. Though, he forgot that there’s a reason why none of them likes to dress up.
“Hey, have you seen my sword?” Jesse asks, completely ignoring the world around her as she went about searching through the chest in his room. “I swore I put it somewhere but I can’t remember where…”
Lukas watch in the mirror while fiddling with the cufflinks; “It’s not in the armory?”
Jesse had decided on a suit that matches Tim’s armor, something that Emma and Nell seem pleased about. Even after all this time, no one wanted to crush the warriors’ hopes and idea of Tim. Which means making a pack to never tell them unless they figure it out on their own.
“No, I already checked.” Jesse huffs as she shuts the chest. “It’s that nice enchanted one that Ivor got me for my birthday last year. I thought it look nice with this suit.”
“It would look nice,” Lukas said. “It has to be around here somewhere.”
Its nice to break away from his own problems to help his friends out; something that Jesse is always doing. Though, turning the whole house upside down for this one sword isn’t quite helping the situation. Lukas had taken a break in the kitchen until he looks towards the dispenser. Oliva had left it here the last time she visited, stating that she has a few plans for their house but never gotten around to it yet.
He opens the thing up before pulling out the sword.
“Found it!” Lukas toss it to Jesse once she’s in range. “It was in Oliva’s dispenser.”
"Why was it there?” Jesse question while putting the sword back into her inventory.
Lukas shrugs before noticing what time it was on the clock in the kitchen.
“Come on,” Lukas gestures Jesse to follow. “We’ll be late at this rate.”

Everyone had dressed up nicely while also keeping a sense of who they are. The people of Sky City really out did themselves this time, which makes Lukas wonders if they are willing to make something else at some point. He should look at what he has to trade before bringing it up at some point.
They had set up a table in the middle of the Order Hall with all kinds of food.
Jesse is busy with Oliva and Axel; the trio have been talking for hours at this point as they catch up over the past months. The three sits next to one another while Petra and Lukas sit across them; Petra is also in the middle of her own conversation with Gabriel.
Across from Gabriel is Ivor and Harper, the two sitting next to Jesse. Harper is reading one of Lukas’ books – which cause him to keep glancing in her direction to watch her expressions – while Ivor jumps into the trio’s conversation with his own thoughts and opinions. Soren was invited but they never heard from him.
Romeo and Xara had turned their chairs away from the table to play a card game of some kind with Nurm giving his own rundown about what’s going on. Nell was egging Romeo on with Emma giving advice across from Xara, who plays into it while Romeo keeps scowling whenever he loses.
Jack had decided to take a nap in his chair which earns him looks from Stampy Cat since he keeps slipping in his chair and using the other as a pillow for a second before popping up again. Stacy finds it funny but keeps her voice down about it.
Milo gives a half wave to Petra when he looks towards him before returning to his work. It seems to be blue plans for a new building of some kind; Lukas wonders if he could look at those at some point. Reginald sits between Milo and Isa while Benedict is given her own chair across from them – much like Lluna, Geoff, Blocco, and Wink – which is right next to Romeo.
The most surprising guests at the table have to be those of the Sunshine Institute. Lukas thought a fight was going to break out due to Romeo but most of them had become quite chill about the whole thing; having already taken a time to process everything over the years since then.
Oxblood and Geoff are the only ones to have shown up and are next to one another with Anthony sitting next to Stacy. On the other side of Geoff is Binta and Blocco. Everyone over there seems to be getting along but Lukas decided to keep an eye out just in case.
Beside him is Radar with Stella across from him and next to Axel. Lukas shoulder the kid and giving a nod to Jesse, who quickly pulls her ex-intern into the conversation. Despite not being an intern anymore, Radar had worked hard to prove that they could rely on him. Which remains him so much of Jesse when she was his age.
None of them knew what they were up against but Jesse had believed that they needed to try.
If it was anyone else, Lukas pretty sure they wouldn’t have gotten that far however Jesse isn’t known for giving up that easily and had proved that at every step of the way. What he would give to be half the person that Jesse is.
…
“We need help out here!”
The dinner only lasted four hours but that was more than enough time. Both New and Old Order of the Stone, along with the Ocelots, got to their feet before refusing out the building while the others stay behind to clean up. Lukas can already tell that Jesse feels bad about leaving but with the shouting growing outside, none of them could sit back.
Frankly, Lukas glad that they all got the chance to hang out again even if it did end in another adventure.
