Chapter Text
Momo yawned as she slowly rose from her slumber, and rubbing her eyes as she got up. Stretching her arms above her head she felt her hand bump into something behind her, and quickly pulled it back before turning around. "You up sleeping beauty?" Seiko said as she looked down at her granddaughter with a plain expression, the bat she carried was currently being used as a crutch so that she could bend down. She helped Momo up and heaved the bat onto her shoulder in a single movement.
"Granny? Where are we right now?" Momo looked around at the large room they were in, there was practically nothing save for a single table in the middle. She looked to her grandma for answers only to see the woman just shrug. "Dunno, I woke up here too. Maybe they know." Seiko pointed to the table where a pale child sat cross-legged on top. Which made zero sense cause Momo was sure that she just looked over there and saw nothing. Her grandma raised an eyebrow as she looked at the child, "Did you bring us into this empty space?" Momo stayed silent as her grandma spoke, she knew nothing about what was going on so she just left it up to her.
Her eyes wandered around the room, it really wasn't anything special to be honest. She wondered what this place was exactly, there were no doors or windows, and it was fairly dark apart from the minimal lights on the ceiling. Not that they actually provided any good lighting.
There was a groan off to the side and she turned towards the source of the noise. She walked over and crouched down to get a better look at the person, not that it helped. The lights barely did shit to help her see. She thinks that the person opens one of their eyes but it's hard to make out in the darkness. "Momo?" The voice was strangely familiar, she definitely knew this person.
"Momo is that you?" The person sat up and rubbed their eyes before yawning. Momo moved back while keeping her eye on the person even though it was dark as hell. "Do I know you?" She asked.
The person tilted their head. "It’s me, Enjouji." Momo's eyes widened, "Huh?!" She moved closer again to get a good look at his face. "Jiji? Gosh it's been a while, you look nice." Jiji smiled and made a funny face by smashing his cheeks together with his hands, "You think so?" Momo rolled her eyes and stood up, offering her hand to him. "C'mon, granny is talking to some weird kid to try and find out why we're here." The redhead stood up with Momo's help and looked around at the other people on the floor. "What about them?" Momo looked at him in confusion.
"What about them?" Jiji looked at the unconscious people on the floor with a blank expression. Momo looked up at him and sighed. "They'll all wake up eventually like we did." She put her hands behind her head and walked away. Feeling something was off she turned around to see Jiji still in the same spot. Still the same no matter how much time passes, Momo thought. "Actually, you should probably stay. Who knows how they'll react to waking up in this place, seeing a nice face like yours will probably help to calm them down."
Jiji stared at her for a second before smiling and saluting strangely. "Ma'am yes ma'am!" Momo looked at him with a tired expression before turning away, her smile hidden away from his eyes.
She walked over to where her grandma was talking to the kid, only to find the old woman sitting by herself in the place that the child previously sat, she had some food now as well. Momo stood there confused for a few seconds. Is she hallucinating? Where the hell did the kid go?!
Her grandma noticed her confusion and signaled for her to come closer. She was eating crab cakes without a care in the world, her bat discarded off to the side. Momo looked at her grandma for an explanation. "Little kid told me what we're here for but we gotta have everyone awake first." She bit into another crunchy crab cake with a bored expression, Momo was staring at the food with interest. "Go wake them up." That broke her out of her staring contest with the food, and she looked at her grandma in offense. "Why do I have to do it?"
Seiko rolled her eyes. "Cause I said so." Momo crossed her arms and stared at her grandma with irritation. "If you do I'll give you one of these." Seiko said as she held up a single crabcake, swinging it in the air to make it seem more tantalizing. "Ha! Do you think I'm that easy?" Momo smirked while puffing out her chest. Her grandma gave her an unimpressed look. "If you do it, I could get you some freshly cooked crab."
Momo's eyes nearly bulged out of her head. She was quick to turn on her heel and move towards the unconscious people, but not before shouting at her grandma. "I'm gonna hold you to that." All she got in response was a thumbs up from Seiko.
A little while before with Jiji, just after Momo had left.
He knelt down to look at a boy with glasses and a bowl cut. He tilted his head to the side as he peered at the boy. "Well that can't be comfortable." He said, referring to the glasses resting on the boy's face, he reached his hand out to take them off of his face but was interrupted.
"Hey, what are you doing?" A pink haired girl said. Jiji turned to look at her. "It can't be comfortable having glasses on while sleeping so I was gonna take them off." The girl looked at him for a second before looking at the still unconscious boy. "You're right, I suppose." She crossed her arms. "Do you know what this place is?" She gestured vaguely towards the room as a whole.
Jiji shook his head. "Unfortunately no, but my friend might know what's up." He smiled at the girl. "Your friend?" She tilted her head in confusion. "Yeah, over there." He pointed to where Momo was standing before her grandma with an irritated expression. "Oh, okay." She seemed to be contemplating something before coming to a decision, she slowly sat down across from Jiji with the bowl cut boy laying in between them. "So what's your name?"
"Huh?"
The girl shot him an unimpressed look. "I wanna know your name. We can exchange, my name-"
"Hey!" Both teens turned to look in the direction of the voice, Momo walked over to them while waving. "Someone else woke up?" Jiji nodded. "Right after you left actually." Momo looked over to the pink haired girl. "Well damn, I missed meeting you before but hey." She waved with a smile on her face, trying to be friendly. The girl stared at her for a second before speaking. "Oh hi, you know what's going on right?" The girl said as she stood up.
Momo frowned. "Not really, my grandma just said that we have to get everyone up first and then we'll know what's going on." The pink haired girl looked at her warily. "Is your grandma the one that brought us here?" Momo shook her head. "No! At least I don't think she is. Some kid spoke to her about what's going on apparently so that's probably the reason she knows why we're here." The pink haired girl stared at her with suspicion but turned away after a few seconds. "If you say so." She shrugged.
"Hey guys.." Both girls looked down to where Jiji was still crouched. "I think he's waking up." The bowl cut boy was turning around on the ground while grumbling, it seemed that he was having a dream of some kind. It was unpleasant from the looks of it. His glasses were placed next to his head, thanks to Jiji taking them off earlier.
"What the hell is he dreaming about?" Momo inquired while staring at him from above. "Dunno but it seems scary." Jiji poked the boy's cheek. The pink haired girl pushed his hand away. "Don't do that, you'll wake him up!" She admonished. Momo looked at her as if she was stupid. "It doesn't matter, everyone needs to wake up anyway or else we can't find out anything." The pink haired girl looked at Momo with a confused expression, so she decided to provide her with a bit of an explanation. "Grandma says that everyone needs to be awake before we find out the reason we're here." The pink haired girl narrowed her eyes before shrugging her shoulders. "I'll go try and wake someone up then." She turned around and walked off.
Momo watched her leave before speaking. "She seems familiar." She brought her hand up to her chin, Jiji looked up at her for a second before looking back at the boy below him. "Do you think he's okay?" Momo looked down at Jiji to see him poking the boy once more. Her expression softened. "Yeah, I mean it’s not like we woke up with any problems so I don't think the person that brought us here has malicious intent. At least I hope so." She shuddered as she imagined some unpleasant hypothetical scenarios. Jiji continued staring at the boy, ignoring Momo's strange imagination. "Yeah... is there no bed that we can put him in?" Right after he said that the floor opened up a little bit away from them. "Woah what the hell?!" Momo moved in front of Jiji and the boy.
From the hole in the floor, a western style bed rose. "The hell?" Both teens looked over at the bed that appeared out of no where. Momo snapped her head over to Jiji. "Did you do that?" She asked incredulously. Jiji quickly shook his head. "I dunno how that happened, I was just talking out loud. Honest." She squinted at him before relenting. "So a bed suddenly appeared cause you asked for it?" She brought her hand to her chin again in thought before smiling wickedly, she then raised her hands in the air and called out to no one in particular. "Gimme a seafood broil!"
...
"Maybe you have to ask politely?" Jiji suggested as her put his hands below the bowl cut boy's knees and shoulders, he picked up the boy almost effortlessly and walked off. Momo scowled and looked up at the ceiling. "Fine! Can I please get a seafood broil?" Same as before there was no response. "Okay, what the hell!" She yelled in frustration.
"Not sure if that's something you should be doing." Momo looked behind her to see some guy with a buzz cut. "Huh? Who're you?" The guy held up his hand while shaking his head. "I can't say." Momo narrowed her eyes at him, the buzz cut dude noticed her glared and decided to add on. "No, I mean like I actually can't say. I tried to share it earlier but something was preventing me from doing it." He narrowed his eyes at the ceiling. "Something like whatever brought us here."
Momo's eyes widened, she hadn't considered that. "Huh... I guess you're right. What should I call you then?" Buzz cut looked back at her. "Whatever you want, I can't exactly give you a nickname to use either." She raised a brow before putting her hand under her chin in thought. "Alright then... I call you buzzy!" She pointed at him with a smirk. 'Buzzy' simply shrugged.
She looked over to where the bed from earlier was. Jiji was sitting on the edge as he looked at the unconscious boy. She turned back to 'Buzzy' and pointed her thumb at the pair. "Wanna join? Since we all got dragged here randomly, may as well stick together. But just fyi," She put on the meanest face she could muster, "you try anything funny and I'll send you flying, ya hear?"
'Buzzy' snorted before nodding. "Understood, you won't have to worry about me being respectful." Momo looked at him with a smile before walking over to the bed. Jiji looked up from where he was staring previously and hopped off the bed. "Hey, who's that?" Jiji pointed to the guy with a buzz cut, Momo just nonchalantly waved her hand at him. "That's just 'Buzzy'." The red haired boy tilted his head with a confused expression on his face. "Buzzy?" Momo waved her hand again and looked off to the side boredly. "It's not my actual name but we can't share our names with each other or else we'll face consequences, felt it myself and let me just tell you that it was not pretty." The guy with a buzz cut explained.
Jiji hummed in acknowledgement. "That's fine I guess. Can I call you Buzzy too?" 'Buzzy' nodded.
Just as this was happening, there was another interaction happening not too far off. The pink haired girl yawned as she walked away from those two, they were weird but not unbearable. Maybe she would continue to grace them with her presence, she smiled and nodded to herself. She had also closed her eyes, which left her oblivious to what was around her. "Ah!" She yelped as she tripped over something that sent her tumbling to the ground. She picked herself up while groaning, rubbing her head she looked around to find what caused her fall.
Behind her was a body, the small stature and pigtails were a dead give away that it was a girl. She crawled around the girl so she could see her face, unlike the boy with the bowl cut this girl seemed to be sleeping peacefully. The pink haired girl saw that she still had her glasses and was reminded of the conversation she had with the weird boy before, she rested her face in her hand and sighed. 'He's right, she does look uncomfortable.' She came to a decision quickly and went to reach for the girls glasses but stopped once the girl started moving. The girl with glasses opened her eyes suddenly and the pink haired girl moved her hand away and spoke. "Hey, do you know where you are right now?"
The girl with the glasses looked to her side and yelped at the sight of the pink haired girl. "W-who're you?!" The pink haired girl rolled her eyes, "Looks like you're fine." She stood up and started walking away. The girl with glasses stood up quickly and followed after the other. "Hey wait- can I know your name? I feel like I know you but I can't remember." The pink haired girl stopped walking and turned around to stare at the other. "Shouldn't you introduce yourself first before asking for my name? Or do you not have manners?" Glasses girl was indignant at being addressed like that by the other but decided not to mention it and instead complied with her demands since there was a possibility that she would know more about her situation. "My name is Saw- AHHH!" She held her head in her hands as she fell to the ground, tears started pouring out of her eyes. The pink haired girl's eyes widened as she crouched down. She looked at the other girl, not sure what to do with this sudden reaction.
Momo and the others looked over to where the noise came from with worry. Jiji and 'Buzzy' were quick to run over to the noise's origin, meanwhile Momo contemplated joining them. She looked at the face of the sleeping boy, his troubled expression making her second guess herself. In the end she decided to stay with the boy just in case he woke up, she didn't want to leave him to wake up by himself.
The pink haired girl was trying to get the other girl in front of her to stop pulling at her own hair. The former felt helpless as she tried and failed to help the latter with whatever was troubling her. However she wasn't alone anymore, suddenly two guys came rushing over a second later. One she recognized as the weird boy from before, the other she had never seen before. They stopped in front of the two girls and crouched down. "What happened?" The one with the buzz cut said. The pink haired girl frantically answered, "I don't know, all I asked for was her name." The one with the buzz cut nodded in understanding. "I know what's wrong, let me handle it." The pink girl helplessly looked at him before looking at the other guy. The red head saw her expression and smiled at her in reassurance, she seemed to calm down after.
The guy with a buzz cut removed her hands and the red headed boy grabbed them so he could help her stand up and move away. "Is it my fault?" Jiji looked at the girl whose hands he was still holding, he smiled at her again and shook his head. "No, I don't think so. You didn't know that this would happen so I'm sure that she'll forgive you too." The girl looked up at him with a blank expression before a smile slowly crept its way onto her face. "You're right. After all who could stay mad at me?" Jiji blinked in confusion at her rhetorical question at the end.
She let go of one of his heads but kept holding the other, her gaze locked onto the red headed boy. 'He's right, I can't possibly be blamed since I didn't know that this would happen so she has to forgive me.' She sweetly looked at him and hugged his arm. "Thank you, I needed to hear that." Jiji just smiled at her again and rubbed the back of his head. "No problem, I understand how easy it is to blame yourself for everything that goes wrong. Having at least just one person to tell you that it's not your fault can mean a lot.”
'I'm glad she isn't too distraught by what happened.' The boy thought, it was completely different from the thoughts of the girl hanging off of his arm. 'He's kinda hot, I wonder if he's single.' She hugged his arm tighter. The guy with the buzz cut watched their interaction from the corner of his eye and sighed. "You guys can go, I got this. I went through the same thing earlier so I understand how to help her." The standing two looked at him with different levels of trust. "Alright, we'll be over there if you need us." Jiji said as he pointed to the area where Momo and the other boy were. The pink headed girl looked at him in shock before schooling her expression. 'He seems like an earnest person so I don't think he would leave a helpless girl with someone who could potentially hurt her... I'll trust his judgement for now.'
The two started to walked away and the pink haired girl turned her head to look back the girl with the glasses one more time before looking forward. She hoped that the girl wouldn't suffer because of her.
They reached the bed and saw Momo leaning on the bed with her head resting on her crossed arms as she stared at the boy with a bowl cut. "Hey, Mo-" The pink haired girl slapped her hand over the red headed boy's mouth. "What are you doing?" She hissed through her teeth as she looked at him as if he had only two brain cells. He looked at her with confusion written all over his features. "Do you want her to end up like that other girl?" She angrily said. If she could help it, then she would prevent anyone else suffering on her watch. It is the least she could do as such a benevolent beauty. "But I had no problem earlier when I said her name." The pink haired girl's eyes widened, "What?" Jiji smiled at the girl in what was supposed to be a reassuring manner. "Yeah just watch-" He walked closer, pulling the pink haired girl along due to the fact that she still held onto his arm. "Hey Momo!" The girl in question lifted her head up and looked over before waving with a smile.
"Hey guys what's up..." Her eyes lowered to the grip the pink haired girl had on her friend's arm. Her chest tightened as she stared at the physical connection between them. She then suddenly shook her head and smacked her cheeks, startling the two in front of her. 'What are you thinking Momo? You haven't thought of him that way since you were kids. Of course he found someone he likes, it was never gonna be you anyways. He kinda made that clear years ago.' She looked at the pink haired girl, who shied away from her gaze, and frowned. 'I mean I get it, she's really pretty but I don't know how to feel.'
"Did you wake up anyone else?" She directed her question to the pink haired girl. "Yeah but... something happened." Momo perked up at the information. "What do you mean?" She asked, Jiji spoke up next. "She started freaking out once she was asked for her name." Momo's eyes widened. The pink haired girl bit her lip and looked off to the side. "Well not exactly, she only started freaking out once she started to say her name..." Her eyes widened as she remembered when she first met the red headed boy whose arm she still had in her grip. If she was not interrupted by Momo back then-
"Yo." Her train of thought was broken by some well-endowed woman coming up to them with three teens following after her. "Grandma? Why are you over here?" The pink haired girl looked at the woman and then at Momo. 'Is she serious? Why would she call her sister something like that? Jealousy? I mean I can understand how others could be jealous but it's not as if she isn’t pretty herself.' Seiko rolled her eyes. "You were taking too long so I decided to get them myself." Momo frowned at her words. "No I wasn't, you're just too impatient!"
Her grandma raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? How many people have you woken up?" Just as Momo was about to answer, she paused and realized that she had yet to wake a single person up and sweat ran down the side of her face as she looked off to the side.
"That's what I thought."
A face poked out from behind Seiko. "Momo?" It was Miko, along with Muko who had also poked her head out. "Miko? Muko?" Both of her friends smiled at her and they were quick to prance over. "Hey Mo-san." Miko grinned at her and got up in her face while Kei just stood next to her. "I can't get rid of you even after being kidnapped Mi-san." Momo dramatically threw her hands up and sighed. Miko laughed and moved back with her arms crossed. "Of course not, I'll be with you even in death." Miko posed stupidly as her friends giggled.
"Um hey..." The pink haired girl and Jiji waved at the new additions, feeling a little left out after watching that whole interaction. The two new girls looked at each other before looking at them. "Hey, I'm-"
"No!" The two with unnatural hair colors shouted at the same time, startling the two new girls. Momo looked at the two confused by their reaction. "You can't tell people your name or else you'll suffer one real nasty headache." They all looked over to the incoming additions, it was the guy with a buzz cut and the girl with glasses from before. "Two people have already faced the consequences, we don't need anymore."
He looked around to see everyone. "Wow, we got some more people I see." His eyes then landed on Seiko and widened just a bit in recognition. Just as he was about to speak she cut him off. "Looks like you're fine now." The guy with the buzz cut nodded. "Thanks for the help." Seiko hummed in acknowledgement but said nothing to him.
The pink haired girl looked at the one in glasses and frowned, she stared at the ground for a while before making a decision. She let go of the red haired boy's arm, he looked at her in confusion but she ignored him for now. She walked up to the other girl and stopped in front of her, the girl with glasses looked at her in surprise. The girl with pink hair rubbed the back of her neck as she looked to the side. "I'm sorry for what happened, I didn't mean for it to go like that." The eyes of the glasses wearer softened as she took in the sincere apology. "It's okay, I understand that you didn't know." She smiled at her and the other smiled back.
"Is this everyone?" Seiko asked with a bored expression on her face. "I didn't see anyone else." 'Buzzy' answered. Seiko looked at him for a moment before switching her gaze over to her granddaughter. Momo saw her grandma's expression and groaned, running a hand down her face. "Come over here." She lead her grandma, and basically everyone else, over to the bed where one person still rested.
Everyone gathered around the boy to stare at him. "Isn't this kind of invasive?" The girl with square glasses spoke. "Not our fault he still hasn't woken up." Momo crossed her arms. "Wait shh!" The pink haired girl said to mainly Momo, who gave her a half-hearted glare in response. "I think he's waking up now." They all stared at him as he continued to stir in the bed until finally he stopped moving, leaving him to lay on his back. Suddenly, he sprung up in surprise, causing everyone else to back away. "Not my balls, please!" He yelled to seemingly no one before he noticed how strange his current situation was.
"Who are you all? Did I get kidnapped by a cult?" He said worryingly as he brought the blanket that was covering him closer. "What-no." The girl with square glasses moved forward again. "Takakura, it’s me. Do you remember me?" Momo looked over the girl in bewilderment before looking over the boy once more. His name was Takakura? Could his given name be... no. She wouldn't think that into existence, someone like this nerd could never taint her precious image of Takakura Ken. "Class president? What's going on?" The boy put the blanket down, more comfortable now that someone he was familiar with was present.
"Um... we're not really sure ourselves to be honest. Everyone just woke up here without any explanation." Right after she finished speaking a ringing noise began filling everyone's ears, most of them brought their hands to their ears while looking around. Then, just as quickly as the ringing began, it vanished leaving behind an eerie silence. "Is it time to begin?" Suddenly everyone was lifted into the air by an unknown force. "Sorry, I just need to clear everything out first." Below them the floor opened up like it did before, but it was slightly different. Unlike previously when just a small part of the floor opened up to spit out the bed, all of the floor collapsed leaving a dark pit in place of the ground.
Seeing this, Momo realized just how much power this entity had over them. She saw some of the others moving around in the air to try and get out of whatever grasp they were in but she lost the will to fight. If they could do this much without trying to hurt them, what exactly could this entity do when it was out for blood. Soon enough they were all slowly placed onto the new floor, the three teens with glasses and the pink haired girl all stumbled while the rest stood up with no problem. "Woah..." Woah indeed, the room had basically been renovated into a movie theatre in barely any time at all. The teens all gaped at the new additions to the room.
There were five rows with 10 seats in each, the rows were about two feet away from each other and the seats resembled those found in modern movie theaters. “I will need everyone to be seated before we start.” Momo looked up at the ceiling with a grimace, she wanted to say something but the show of ability from earlier was still on her mind.
Thankfully she didn’t need to do it anyway because her grandma felt the same. “Why should we? Asking stuff of us without even showing your own face really pisses me off.” The entity was silent for a few seconds before something like sigh was heard.
”I suppose that’s fair. If I show you my face, will you sit down?” Seiko looked over at the teens who all nodded. “Yeah.” Just then, a giant screen phased through the wall and lit up, slightly basking the room in more light than before. A child appeared on the screen, the one that Seiko spoke to at the start, with a bored expression. “I do not want to waste time with meaningless conversations so I’ll get straight to the point, I want to show you your future.”
Many of the teen’s eyes widened at the claim, Seiko however narrowed hers. While she didn’t doubt that it was possible to glimpse into the future, hell she practically did it herself with her predictions, but she had a feeling that it wouldn’t be some small one and done thing. “How far we talkin’?” The child on the projection closed their eyes and tilted their head in thought. “I am unsure, it is hard to tell. The one thing I will say it that all the events that I will show you happen within the span of months during the school year.”
Seiko looked down and squeezed her bat. That was around eight to nine months give or take, there had to have been a huge backlash to get that much time in your pocket. She looked up at the child with a serious expression. “And what did you have to give up?” The child narrowed their eyes. “You know better than to ask a question like that Lady Seiko. I’ve done what you wanted so do what I want now.”
The woman in question just glared at the child before sighing and walked off to the chairs. She sat in the fourth row and took the chair furthest to the right. She turned her head to the teens and raised a brow. Momo looked at the child on the screen before moving to go sit with her grandma. Miko and Kei looked at each other before Kei shrugged and went to go sit down with Miko following. They sat in the second row, Kei the furthest to the right with Miko sitting right next to her.
The rest of the teens followed after and settled down into the seats as well. Seiko looked over to her right and saw her granddaughter staring down at the others. She scowled and smacked her right upside the head. Momo yelped and rubbed the back of her head.
”Hey! What was that for?” Her grandmother just looked at her as if she was an idiot. “Go sit with your friends.” Momo just looked at her grandma confused. “Go with them. If we’re gonna be here for months of future content then you should be with you friends.”
Momo’s gaze softened a bit as she looked at her grandma before shaking it off as she stood up. “Alright but don’t go missing me too much.” Seiko rolled her eyes and pushed her granddaughter away with her bat. “Go away for a good long while.” Momo looked away while smiling to herself as she walked over to her friends. She walked down a row and threw her weight onto their chairs from behind. Their conversation that they were having halted as they turned to look at her.
Smiles appeared on their face as Miko spoke. “Yo, I thought you were gonna sit with your grandma.” Momo shrugged and looked away dramatically. “She said she didn’t want me no more.” Miko chuckled while Kei stood up slightly and turned around, wrapping her arms around Momo as best she could with her position. “It’s okay, we got you bae.” Momo smiled at them and waited until Kei let her go to hop over the seat and sat next to Miko.
Just then the screen flickered. “Before we start I had to add four more people to the viewing total. Please do not pay them much mind, you’ll get to know them once you start watching.” A door phased through the wall and opened not a second after. A girl came through, she had light blonde hair and green eyes, along with pink antennas and a weird suit. She seemed somewhat nervous and unsure as she walked into the room. Looking around, her eyes met Seiko’s and they stared at each other for a while before the girl put her head down and walked over to the fourth row. She sat in the middle of the row.
Next was a strange looking man whose head was much too big for his body. He looked at everyone and tilted his head before moving to the fifth row. He sat furthest to the left. A weird looking creature followed close behind him. It somewhat resembled a humanoid shrimp but it still looked strange. It sat close to the man in the fifth row and was just a seat away.
The final one to come in was an old woman dressed in obsolete clothing. Her eyes were facing two completely different directions yet she could still somehow see perfectly fine. She chose to sit in the middle of the fifth row.
”Good, everyone is now here so we can begin. Please note that there might be scenes that will make you uncomfortable in the future so be prepared. This will not stop me from showing them but I just wanted you all to be aware beforehand. After the first two showings I will provide you with a break before we continue. If you need anything at any point all you need to do is ask.” After that the screen darkened before lighting up again with a new scene.
Momo widened her eyes at what was being shown, her own face appeared on the screen along with her boyfriend. “Hey Momo, isn’t that the guy you’re seeing?” Miko whispered to her. Momo nodded while frowning. She looked a little upset on the screen, she wondered what made her like that.
”Huuh?” Momo held her bag close to herself as she looked at her boy friend apprehensively. The guy held his belt as he spoke to her with a suggestive connotation. “I said if you ain’t gonna lend me some money… then the date’s off.”
The pink haired girl raised her brow and looked down at Momo from her seat in the third row next to Jiji. “You dated a guy like that?” Momo sighed and crossed her arms. “It wasn’t really serious and I’m pretty sure we’re not gonna last that long anyway.” The pink haired girl had an unreadable expression as she looked at the other girl before moving her gaze back over to the screen.
"Well… you can still do it with me, if ya want. The love hotel charge’s on you, though.”
Seiko narrowed her eyes at the screen before letting out a sigh. Momo groaned and ran a hand down her face, this was embarrassing.
Momo felt her irritation spike through the roof as she went in for kick to the noggin. The guy blocked it quickly and deflected her blow. She then got up in his face and tried to punch him. “Eat this!!”
Miko started laughing while Kei just snorted. “Girl what the hell are you doing?” Momo his her face away in her hand so that her blush wasn’t visible. “Tch, shaddup I dunno what future me is doing.” She mumbled into her hand.
There was a whistle from the third row, it came from the guy with a buzz cut. He smiled down at Momo. “Guess I was lucky not to be on the receiving end of that, huh?” Momo felt her mood lighten as she chuckled. “Damn right, if I was in a bad mood I woulda already knocked you out.”
The guy caught her fist and frowned. “Hey, the hell are you…!” Momo went in for another punch but before she could land it, the guy kicked her in her chest and she was flung backwards. She grunted while the guy backed away. "Don't go gettin' a big head, bitch!!"
Jiji looked down at Momo with a frown on his face. "This hasn't happened yet, right?" He hoped that this didn't happen to her often, she seemed like she could handle herself pretty well but he didn't want to see her hurt unnecessarily. "Yeah, don't worry if this happened I woulda left his ass a while ago." Momo said as she rolled her eyes.
"I'm through with you!! If you ain't got money or the goods, you ain't worth my time!!" Momo sat up on her knees as she watched him walk away, her face twisted to show how upset she was. "Screw you, jerk!! Squid!! Octopus!! Starfish!!" The scene cut over to a classroom, Kei smirked at Momo as she told the story. "Lol, I'm dead. Calling him seafood's not cussing him out, girl."
Kei laughed. "Seeing it myself is much more funny than hearing about it." Momo's face became red due to embarrassment as she grunted. "Shut up, I don't need you laughing at me now and in the future!" Miko smiled at both of her friend's antics.
Momo puffed out her cheeks which made her face seem comical, "Aw, help me out here... he was my first boyfriend."
The pink haired girl looked at the screen in interest. "So you've never dated before?" Momo looked up at the girl with a curious expression. "Yeah...?" The pink haired girl smirked at her and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Well if you're interested in dating again I could help you, I know how to pick em' well." Momo raised her eyebrow skeptically.
"I told you not to go after him! What'd you see in that guy, anyway?" Kei said as she played with her pigtails.
Momo sunk in her seat as she realized that she was about to explain her interests- not that she was embarrassed by it at all.
Momo shyly tucked a hair behind her ear. "His face looked like Takakura Ken."
"Huh? Did someone call me?" The teen with a bowl cut looked up from the conversation he was having in the first row. Momo looked at him in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
"God Damn." Kei said. "You're just askin' for trouble, sis."
"That's my name." The boy pointed to himself. Momo was stunned, so the fact that he had the same surname was not a coincidence. She stood up abruptly and pointed at him. "There's no way!"
"Listen!! I like stern, masculine guys like Takakura Ken!!" A photo of the actor appeared behind her as she spoke, he quoted his most famous line; "I'm an awkward guy." with a serious expression.
"Like that!" Momo yelled while pointing to the screen as her onscreen counterpart explained all the good qualities of her bias. "That's what Takakura Ken should be!" The boy had a deadpan expression on his face as he looked at her as if she was crazy. "You're denying me my name because it's the same as the one of a famous actor?" Momo nodded as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
Miko and Kei looked at Momo as if she were crazy. "Guys like that are a thing of the past." Momo sighed as the scene cut to the hallway. "Man, what a bummer..." She walked down the hall with a downcast expression. "Guess I'll never be able to meet a guy like Ken-san..." She dragged her feet along the ground. "Isn't there someone to help me out here...?"
"Momo sit down." Miko sighed as she turned away from her friend. Momo sat down with her arms crossed. The boy in the front stared up at where the girl was in exasperation, he felt a tap on his shoulder and looked over to see his classmate. "Yo, you have to tell me how to get lucky with the ladies Takakura!" He whispered.
Momo stopped in front of a classroom where she saw a boy getting paper balls tossed at him. "It's a tough world we live in..." The screen zoomed in on the boy who seemed to be ignoring most of the bullying he was facing. He looked up when one of the balls hit his head. "Don't look at us, weirdo." He looked back down and continued to try and ignore the onslaught of paper balls. It showed Momo looking over at the scene with an unreadable expression on her face.
Momo looked at the screen with a bored expression. 'I guess I'll help him out.' The boy's eyes widened as he watched the scene. 'Will someone finally see me?'
"Try sticking a magnet inside." One of the bullies said. "Ouch, that's gotta hurt!" Another responded.
Jiji's brows furrowed as he looked down at the boy in the first row. The boy from before spoke to Takakura again, "Are you not gonna answer me Takakura?" He was ignored again as the girl sitting with them spoke. "I'm sorry Takakura..." The bowl cut boy turned to her in confusion. "What do you mean?"
The scene changed to show Momo sitting on a chair in front of the bowl cut boy's desk as he looked up from his book. The screen showed a close up of her eye as she looked at the bullies with a serious expression.
"As the class president I should be doing my job to make sure that everyone feels comfortable, but it seems that I've been neglecting my duties." Takakura looked at the girl with an unreadable expression before giving her a smile. "It's fine..."
'It wouldn't be the first time I was forgotten in life.'
Momo turned to the boy with a smile on her face. "What's that you're reading?" The boy looked at her nervously before responding. "Oh, u-uhm!" He stuttered. The other boys looked away quickly. Momo turned to the other boys and frowned. "LAAAAAME!" She made sure that she was loud enough for them to hear. She got up right after that, "Guess this world's full of nothing but scumbags." She walked off while the boy she helped watched her leave.
Miko pinched Momo's cheek. "Look at you being an upstanding citizen." Momo rolled her eyes as she pushed her friend away. "Whatever, it's not that big a deal, anyone could've done it."
'Doesn't mean they would.' The pink haired girl looked at Momo with a frown on her face. Would she have done the same if she was in her shoes?
The boy picked up his book as the scene cut over to Momo stomping down the hallway. "Arrrg, just great! Gotta find something to take out this stress on now!" She was cut off by someone calling her name. "Ayase Momo-san!" The screen shifted to show the side of Momo's head as she looked at the boy who spoke while facing away from her.
Momo looked down at the boy in the first row. "You know me?" She asked him. He looked up at her, "Yeah a little bit. Though I've mostly just heard about you in passing and saw you during assemblies." Momo hummed in acknowledgement but said nothing more.
"I believe I know what you like!!" Momo looked over at him in confusion. "Huh?" The boy repeated himself, "I believe I know what you like!!" Momo had an exasperated expression on her face as she looked at the boy. "How many times are you gonna repeat yourself?!"
The pink haired girl snorted and covered her mouth to hide her giggles. Jiji looked over at her and smiled. 'She seems much better now, I'm glad.'
"It's the only thing a person like you would ever approach me about!!" Momo sighed. "Nah, I think you've got the wrong idea." She turned away from him. "I don't wanna be your friend or anything. Just forget I ever talked to you."
"So cold Momo!" Kei giggled as Miko squished Momo's cheeks together, Momo pouted as well which made her look cute. She rolled her eyes.
A book was pushed in front of her face. "This is what I mean!!" The screen shifted to show the inside of the book. "President Obama's already visited mars!! It's all laid out in "Project Pegasus"!!" Momo looked at the boy confused. "What in the what?!"
"You like the occult, don't you!!" Momo shot him an unimpressed look.
Jiji looked down at him. "Woah, you like that stuff?" Takakura shrunk in his seat, "Yeah." Jiji just smiled at him and leaned forward, folding his arms over the seat in front of him. "That's cool, I know a little bit about that stuff but probably not as much as you. Can you tell me about it some time?" Takakura looked at him and shock before a small smile appeared on his face. "Sure, I don't mind."
"Uh-uh. I don't believe in UFOs or aliens or whatever." Momo said, and the boy took that as an invitation to nerd-out. "They are not UFOs!! They're UAPs!! That's short for "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena"!!"
"Wow, looks like someones peeved." Kei whispered to Miko.
"And I didn't ask." Momo crossed her arms. The screen changed to show a presentation of the US and Japan military's space force. "The U.S. Military's Officially recognized the existence of UAPs and reorganized its space force!! And in Japan they've established the aerospace self-defense force!! No matter how you look at it, it's obvious they're shaping up for interstellar war."
The strange man in row five looked at the screen with a blank expression. 'Hardly.'
During that whole speech Momo seemed to be not listening, she was tapping away on her phone without a care. "'Kay, can I go now?" She was already walking away as the boy held his hand out to her to get her to stop. "HUH?! Hey, wai... They have the latest sighting of Nessie in Here! And something that looks like a GM cannon! Oh, and the skin-walker ranch!" Momo grew unbelievably irritated.
"SHUT UUUUUUP!! I'm in the middle of a heartbreak, and I really don't need all of your crap on top of it!! You've got no idea how much you nerds push people's buttons and piss them off!! This is why you don't have any friends!!"
Momo winced as she watched her onscreen counterpart lose her cool. She looked over to the boy in the first row and sighed. "Sorry..." The boy looked up at her in surprise. "I don't really mean all of that stuff, I'm just being emotional cause you caught me at a bad time. I'm not usually that rude." There was silence for a few seconds before the boy looked away. "It's fine I guess, it's not like you're the one actually saying it. Plus I was talking too much anyway."
"Quit tryna get buddy-buddy with me." She walked a few steps before turning around and apologizing. "Sorry." The boy looked at the floor as he spoke, "I said too much." Momo bent down and picked up the book and handed it to the boy. "Here. I don't believe in aliens... But I do believe in ghosts."
The pink haired girl snorted as she looked down. 'Aliens and ghosts... what's next, someone else is gonna come up saying that they believe in the Easter bunny?'
The boy turned away to hide his laugh. "Heh, there's no such thing as ghosts!"
"Hah?! So you believe in something like aliens but not ghosts?" Momo yelled at the boy in the first row. "Because it's true! There have been actual sightings of aliens for years now, it's just skeptics like you that refuse to believe it!" Momo rolled her eyes.
The guy with the buzz cut ignored both of them in favor of looking at the weird looking creature in the fifth row, when he saw its eyes move towards him he quickly looked away again.
"I give you the chance to talk to me, and you just take a fat dump on it?!"
"Hey, don't look down on the occult!!"
Momo pointed at herself as she proudly stated, "I'll have you know my grandma's a psychic!!"
Seiko raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.
"What?!" The guy yelled in outrage. Momo squeezed her cheeks between her hands to mock him. "You ever seen a ghost before? They're super scary!! People who get possessed by them start spazzing out like crazy!!"
"Spasms are also caused by medical conditions! That's no proof of ghosts!"
Momo narrowed her eyes and got up in his face. "Really?! Have you ever been on a UFO ride with some aliens, then?!" The boy used his book to block her from getting closer. "That's jumping to conclusions!! What are you, an idiot?!"
Miko gasped dramatically. "Oh-em-gee! Who are those lovely ladies right there?" Momo rolled her eyes and smiled.
The screen shifted to show Kei and Miko walking down the hallway. "Huh?" The camera angle turned around to show what they were seeing right now. Momo was trying to kick the boy while he smashed the book in her face, making it hard for her to see. "She gave up on Takakura Ken and started going after nerdy guys.." Kei said. "Wow, she don't even give a damn. Lowkey kinda like it." Miko added on.
"I mean, in a way..." Jiji started, "she's still kinda chasing after Takakura Ken." The pink haired girl snorted while Momo blushed in embarrassment. "Shut it Jiji!" He made a silly face at her in response.
The pink haired girl looked at the boy next to her. 'That's his name? Not bad...' She hid the lower half of her face in her hand and looked away.
The screen then showed a close up of Momo. "Alright, you're on! If you really see a ghost.. I'm gonna make you my errand boy!" The screen shifted to show a close up of the boy next. "And I'll show you a real UFO! I mean, UAP! If you find one... I'll make you into my errand girl, A-Ayase-san!"
"Still polite even when arguing." The pink haired girl remarked with a smirk.
The scene then shifted to show an abandoned hospital.
The girl with glasses frowned at the scene and pushed up her glasses. "I hope you guys don't find any trouble coming your way." Momo looked down at the girl and waved her hand flippantly. "Oh please, we probably won't find anything anyway." The strange man in row five looked at her as she said that.
Momo was shown walking down the hall of the hospital, she was on the phone with the boy. "What is this place?! It's freaking me ooouuuuut!! Where's the UFO spot?!"
The pink haired girl frowned. "Why are you alone." Momo looked at her and shrugged. "He probably went on his own to whatever place I suggested so he could see a ghost." The chubby guy with glasses in the first row spoke up. "Do you know where you would send him?"
Momo closed her eyes so she could think.
The boy spoke through the phone. "They call that "Nagi Hospital" place a sanctuary for aliens! If you summon a UFO on the rooftop... You'll get abducted!" Momo started shaking from fear. "Whaddaya mean, abducted?"
"If I had to guess, it would be to head to that abandoned tunnel that's famous on the internet. It's supposed to be where that turbo granny resides if I'm remembering right." The old lady in the fifth row looked at the girl.
"The aliens will take you on board their ship and perform experiments on you."
"Whoa, hang on! You've been experimented on, too?!"
"It's possible I have!" The boy said with an unnecessary amount of confidence. Momo looked at her phone confused, "Huh?"
"Most people who get abducted have their memories wiped afterwards!" Momo stopped walking as she looked at her phone. "Hold it, Bucko. You've never seen a UFO, have you?" There was silence on the other line for a few seconds before the boy spoke again.
Jiji looked down at the boy again. "So you've never actually seen an alien yourself?" The boy frowned and looked down, grabbing onto his pants. "Yeah..." Jiji saw his dejected look and flashed him a toothy grin. "Oh well, that just means you'll have to search harder for them. But don't worry, I can help you if you want, you still have to tell me all about them after all."
The boy looked up in shock before smiling. "Sure! I can tell all the supernatural facts that I've learned." Jiji laughed a little and nodded. "I'll look forward to it."
"Have you ever heard of progressive hypnosis?" Momo was unimpressed by his explanation. "Don't dodge the question." The boy started to get defensive. "It doesn't matter whether I've seen them or not! All that matters is that I have a good argument!"
"I dunno Mo-chan, he's got you there." Kei said as she shrugged her shoulders. Momo frowned but didn't say anything.
"Shaddup." The scene then cut over to the boy's phone. "Anyway, how's things on your end?" The screen zoomed out to show the boy in front of a large tunnel. "I've made it... to the spirit spot."
The screen showed a close up of his face as he put the phone to his ear. "Now... time to prove you wrong once and for all!" It zoomed out again to show him shaking while walking closer to the tunnel. "Th-that there's no such thing as ghosts!"
"Hey, you ain't chickening out, are you? Oh, and you're definitely gonna see something. This place's famous on the internet." The boy yelped at her words.
Momo watched the screen with interest, she wondered if anything would actually pop up. Seiko sighed and looked behind her at the old granny to find her already being watched. She narrowed her eyes before turning back to the screen.
"Too shy shy boooy! Kono shunkan niiii!"
The pink haired girl laughed. "Why are you singing?" Takakura felt his face flush. "I was nervous so I thought singing would help calm my nerves. Don't you do stuff to calm your nerves?" The pink haired girl smirked at him and winked. "I don't get nervous."
'Is she flirting with me?' His cheeks got pinker as he looked away. She smiled at his reaction. Jiji watched the interaction between them with interest.
"They say screaming the lyrics is a really bad idea..." The boy's singing became quieter as she said that. "Too shy shy boy..."
"On the net that is." Momo continued. The boy stopped singing as he realized something. "Wait, you just said "on the net"... you've never seen a ghost in person before Ayase-san?" Momo's answer was immediant. "Nope."
"Whaa- How can you say that so smugly!" The scene cut back to show Momo rubbing the back of her head as she smiled. "Hey, thanks for the compliment!"
"Give me back the attitude you had earlier! It's so weird to believe in ghosts when you've never seen them!"
The girl with glasses in the first row turned to Takakura. "Can't the same be said for you since you believe in aliens despite having never seen them?" He blushed from embarrassment. "W-well it's different!" The girl raised an eyebrow at him but said nothing more.
"No it ain't. I told you my grandma's a psychic." Momo said with a blank expression on her face. "I was raised by her too." The scene cut over to the boy again. "'Cause both my parents are gone." She continued.
"Oh... I see..." The mood from before seemed to sour.
"Oh, sorry for your loss." The girl from the first row turned around and looked at Momo. The brown haired girl raised a brown at the other before closing her eyes. "It's fine, they've been gone since I was young, can barely remember them now if I'm being honest."
The girl didn't seem bothered by the sour mood. "What're you acting all timid for?" The scene cut to show her backside. "Hear me out for a bit. See, my family's really weird..." It then showed a younger Momo that was walking with her index finger pointed upwards on top of her head. "Whenever I went outside, I always had to do some kinda spell. Even when I was at school."
Young Momo was highlighted as three boys were shown copying her previous pose to make fun of her. "Obviously all the boys made fun of me. And if I didn't do it, grandma'd get mad at me and I'd feel terrible."
Jiji looked down sighed. He put his face into his hands as he thought back to how stupid he acted in his childhood. Miko leaned her head into Momo's and Kei grabbed her hand, Momo smiled in appreciation for her friend's actions. Seiko's eyes softened as she recalled this time.
It showed Momo with a downcast expression as she recalled these memories. "But what was the worst for me... was when I got made fun of by the boy I liked." The scene changed to show a young Momo looking at a young boy that ran away while doing the same pose as before. "I really hated my grandma. I told her that it was that stupid spell's fault that the boy I liked didn't like me." It showed the back of Momo's head. "I said some pretty awful stuff... to her."
Jiji stood up suddenly and looked over at his former childhood friend. "Momo..." She turned around to look up at him. "I'm sorry I made fun of you at that time, you didn't deserve it." Momo's eyes softened as she smiled at him and flippantly waved him off. "It's fine, it was so long ago after all." He frowned and shook his head. "That doesn't mean that it goes away, so I still want to still say that I'm sorry."
"Okay... I accept your apology. It really means a lot." She rubbed the back of her head and turned her eyes away slightly. Jiji sat down while smiling, they both missed the look that the pink haired girl gave them as she watched their interaction.
The screen focused on her phone. "I didn't speak with her at all until just recently. And I stopped doing the spell." It showed the boy with his phone to his ear. "But whenever people make fun of my family... I get really pissed." It showed young Momo highlighted again. "And I realized... I didn't hate that the boy I liked didn't like me. I hated that the boy I liked... made fun of my grandma."
Seiko's eyes widened as she heard her granddaughter's reasoning.
There was a short scene of young Momo running up to her grandma and jumping into her arms. "Really, I loved my grandma... and her job as a medium... 'cause they felt special to me." It showed her backside in the present once more as she continued walking. "Honestly, I've never seen a ghost before. And I dunno whether my grandma actually has a sixth sense or whatever."
Young Momo held her grandma's hand as they walked away. "But she took me in... and raised me all on her own. That's why... I believe in her." A close up of the current Momo was shown as she spoke again. "And that's why... I believe in ghosts, too."
"Wow... that's actually kinda sweet." Takakura smiled as he looked at the screen. "Yeah." There was a shaky response, he looked over to his left to see his teary class president. "I a-agree." He turned to his right to find his classmate equally as emotional. "Huh?!"
The screen focused on the boy's face before Momo started talking again. "So how 'bout you? Why do you believe in aliens?" The boy seemed a little startled by the sudden question. "Uh...um... no reason in particular." The scene cut to Momo for a second as she turned the corner. "Reeeaaally? None at all?
"Do I need a reason to like what I like?!"
"Obviously!"
"Yeah but don't go asking her why she likes Takakura Ken or else she'll start chatting your ear off." Kei commented. Momo flushed and started hitting her friend lightly. "Oh shut up!" Miko smiled as she watched the interaction between them.
It cut back over to the tunnel that the boy was in. "Say, you're pretty brisk when you're on the phone."
Momo spoke up, agreeing with her onscreen counterpart. "Yeah that's right, why are you acting so different there?" Takakura pushed up his glasses and looked away before speaking. "I'm just an awkward guy. It's easier to talk to someone when you're not face to face sometimes, and you don't seem like a bad person to talk to anyway." He looked up at her after saying that last bit.
Momo's face flushed as she looked away. Her friends snickered as they realized the reason for her red face. "Nice combo attack Takakura Ken, you've got her now!" Miko said. The boy looked at her confused, not understanding what she meant.
"Oh... really...?" The camera zoomed into the boy. "Well, I guess you're kind of easy to talk to, Ayase-san--" The camera slowly shifted to show the side of the boy's face as an old lady came into view.
Momo's eyes widened. "What a second!" She stood up and quickly turned around to see an old lady in the fifth row looking at her, the same one that was on the screen right now. "That's you!" The old lady gave her an unimpressed look. "Congratulations, you've found out the obvious."
A close up of the old lady was shown. "I'll let you suckle my titties." It panned over to the boy's shocked expression. "Now let me suck your dick."
"What the fuck! How creepy.." The pink haired girl shouted. The other teens nodded in agreement.
It showed Momo's shocked expression for a second before it cut to the boy yelling. "GHOOOOOOOST!!" It cut to his phone as Momo spoke. "Wait!! Don't run away!!" She shouted at him but he didn't listen and ran away anyway. "Hold it, occult boy!!"
Momo blanched as she watched him run away on screen. "Oh come on!" The teens all looked over at her. "You can't run away from her! It's like challenging an Olympic gold medalist as a paraplegic person. And once she catches you its game over!" She made an x with her arms for emphasis. Takakura bit his lip in worry, if what she was saying was really true then he was in serious trouble.
"No!! It can't be!!" The screen showed a shot with the old lady far off in the back of the tunnel. "That's just some old lady!! It has to be!!" It cut back to Takakura running to his bike. "Just some old lady!!" He said as he tried to rationalize what he just saw.
"Oc..lt stop, now!!-" Momo was trying to speak but there was buzzing in between her words, the call was cutting out. "It says on the net that thing's really dangerous!!-" The boy hopped on his bike and started peddling as he tried to catch his breath. "I must've mistaken it for a ghost!" He looked back quickly. "I just ran into some horny old cougar, that's all!"
Momo's voice came out through the phone one last time. "You can't let that thing overtake you!! If the turbo granny outruns you..." It showed the boy riding his bike with an elongated version of the grandma from before keeping up with him despite being shown in the tunnel not even a minute before. "You'll be cursed!!"
"Holy shit!" Miko held onto Momo's shoulder and covered her mouth in shock. Momo played with the end of her sleeves to try and calm herself down.
The girl in the first row used both of hands to cover her mouth "Takakura-kun..." The boy in question kneaded his hands into his pants while he tried to calm down this couldn't be real... he couldn't be...
The scene cut over to Momo's end as she heard the boy scream through the phone. "Hey! Can you hear me, occult boy?! Helloooo?! Answer me!!" She yelled at her phone in distress. The camera backed up as it showed her walking down a hallway whilst checking her phone. "Ugh, you've gotta be kidding! I'm headed your way right now! Just hang on!" It panned to her face as she looked up.
The camera slowly turned to show three men standing across from Momo in the hallway. There was a close up of the men and then Momo. "What the... please stop.."
"Wait! Isn't that-" The pink haired girl turned around in her chair to look at the fifth row, she saw the man to the very left staring at the screen. He slowly moved his head so that he could face her and the girl had to suppress a shudder. Jiji pulled her down and held onto her shoulders. "Are you okay?" She looked at the floor with wide eyes. "Y-yeah I think."
Momo started sweating and ran away in the opposite direction.
Takakura started biting his nails. "Aw no... once they lock onto you, they won't leave you alone until they catch you!"
The men started running after her. The camera showed a side view now, they all grabbed on to her clothes and pulled, leaving her in her undergarments. There was an overview shot that showed Momo screaming as the three men ripped apart her clothes. The screen blacked out after that.
Everyone started at the screen in shock. The pink haired girl stood up and grabbed the red haired boy's hand pulling him along, they walked around the third row and sat down in the second row. The pink haired girl plopped down in the seat next to Momo with Jiji next to her. Momo looked the two confused but the pink haired girl said nothing, that didn't mean the hand she placed on Momo's went unnoticed. The brown haired girl gave a small smile at the gesture but made no comment on it.
The screen lit back up to show Momo stripped down to her underwear strapped to a seat with a blank expression.
The pink haired girl tightened the grip she had on Momo's hand. The old lady in the fifth row narrowed her eyes at the screen.
The camera zoomed into her face as she looked up in shock. "Huh?" It zoomed out to show all three of the men crowding around Momo. "Greetings, female human."
"Whoa."
There was a close up of one of the men as they spoke. "We are the "Serpo". We call ourselves such because we are from the planet Serpo."
"Aliens?!" Momo yelled in shock.
There was a snort from the pink haired girl. "You only realized what they were now?" Momo grunted as she rolled her eyes. "I don't think you would be any better in my situation." The pink haired girl just stuck out her tongue at the other. Jiji took note of the fact that they kept holding hands all throughout their interaction.
"Do not be afraid. We come in peace."
"Jeez it's just out of one of those old alien films, all we need is for them to do that hand sign." Miko whispered to Kei who just laughed.
The camera focused on Momo. "If you come in peace, why'd you strip me half-naked?! Where's my clothes?!"
"Damn right!" Momo yelled at the screen. "They had no reason to remove basically everything!"
"Rest assured. Your belongings have been handled with the utmost care." One of the serpo said as the camera panned over to her destroyed clothes and phone on the floor. "They're ruined!!! You better pay up for this!!" Momo yelled after seeing the mess.
The screen zoomed into her face. "Anyways, I wanna go home! Can you get this thing off me?" The camera shifted over to the serpo, "Our species is exclusively male. Therefore, we reproduce through cloning technology."
"Are you evening listening?!"
Seiko leaned back in her chair and looked over at the guy to the very left of the fifth row. "So you're just one of the many mass produced losers of your race?" The Serpo slowly turned his head to her before speaking. "Yes, it is as you say." He turned his head back to the screen right after and Seiko did the same after a second.
The Serpo continued explaining. "However, as biological evolution does not occur among identical individuals... Competition and emotion have been eradicated from our race." It showed an assembly of completely identical Serpo lined up in multiple rows before it transitioned to a close up of one of the Serpo. "Therefore, in order to regain reproductive functions like those of humans... we want your kind's BANANAS."
"What?"
"Huh?" It showed a close up of Momo before moving back over to one of the Serpo in a weird pose. He leaned back a bit as he showed off his mechanical penis. "Now, we will have SEX." The camera cut over to Momo, showing her shocked face as the serpo continued to speak. "After we have had sex, we will extract your womb and bananas and conduct research on them."
Momo scrunched up her face in displeasure. 'Will I really have to watch myself go through something as dehumanizing as this?' She felt her hand being squeezed and looked to her right to see the pink haired girl still looking at the screen with an uncomfortable expression. 'Well I guess it's not as bad since it hasn't happened to me yet.' She squeezed the hand back and looked at the screen again.
Momo thrashed in the chair, trying to resist her constraints. "Screw you!! I've been with trashy guys before... But I've still kept my virginity safe!!" A close up of her troubled face was shown. "I'm not gonna let you creepy aliens take away... my chastity I've been saving for Takakura Ken!!"
Momo was thankful no one chose to comment on what her onscreen counterpart just said, unbeknownst to her the pink haired girl and Jiji were trying very hard to hold in their laughs.
The scene then changed to a birds eye view as the serpo covered Momo's eyes and activated his powers. "In order to make you more aroused, we will control your brainwaves with psychokinesis."
"Hey bitchass." The serpo in the fifth row turned how head around to see Seiko behind him with her bat resting on her shoulder. Her expression was unreadable as she looked down at him. "Is there something the matt-" He didn't get to finish his sentence because a second later his face was smashed in.
The screen paused where it was and shifted to show the child once again, this time with a tired expression. "Lady Seiko, I regret to inform you that violence is not allowed in this place so please refrain from acting on your emotions." Seiko pulled her bat up to rest on her shoulder again as she looked at the screen with an irritated expression and rolled her eyes. "I figured as much but I can't promise anything." She walked back to her seat without a care in the world while the others looked at her in shock, no one had even noticed that she moved.
The child was seen bowing while seated. "My apologies, please continue." The chubby boy with glasses in the first row looked at the alien in the fifth row, "What about him?" He said while pointing. The child widened their eyes in realization. "Oh yes, I forgot. Thank you for reminding me." The boy smirked and pushed up his glasses. "Don't mention it."
Within a second the serpo was restored to his original form, surprising almost everyone. The child didn't seem to care for their surprise as they excused themself and continued playing the video.
Momo was shown having a hard time controlling herself as a weird visual was shown in the background. "How is it? Can you feel your body becoming hotter and hotter?" Momo tried her hardest to resist as she thought of her idol. "RAAAAGH... TAKAKURAA KEEENN...!!"
There was a visual of hands reaching out to her. "Hm, you are resisting our psychokinesis. Impressive mental fortitude."
The serpo was then shown above Momo as he spread her legs apart. "But let us begin." It showed a close up of Momo with tears in her eyes. "No.. Stop...!!" Just then, a phone started ringing. One of the other serpo went to investigate. "A phone? What horrible timing..."
In the back, turbo granny just started chuckling silently, no one but the girl with antenne noticed.
Out of the phone came the twisted form of a decrepit old woman. The camera showed one of the serpo and Momo both looking at the new addition. The turbo granny flipped herself over and went in between the serpo's legs, she was quick to tear off his mechanical penis.
The pink haired girl grinned along with Jiji and Momo. The girl raised her hands in the air and cheered, making Momo and Jiji lift their own due to the fact that they were still holding each other's hands. They seemed to realize this and let go of each other's hands while looking away. Miko and Kei noticed this and started snickering to themselves.
There was a cool shot of Turbo Takakura with his head back as he posed with the mechanical peen still in his mouth. He then started freaking out randomly. "Ayase-san!!" Takakura said as a close up of Momo's teary eyes was shown. "I'm sorry!! There really was a ghost!!"
It then showed Takakura as half of his face was regular while the other half held a resemblance to turbo granny. His body was still completely freaking out, proving that he has barely any control over it. "I got cursed... by the turbo granny!!"
The girl in the first row frowned as she watched the screen. This is exactly what she hoped would not happen, she really didn't want to see anyone hurt.
Momo was shown looking at the boy with desperation. "Occult boy!! Thank God!! C'mon, help me out!!" The serpo looked over as well with no change in their expression. "Who is that? Not even we have the technology... to invade others via a smartphone."
The possessed boy was shown losing control once more as his face was being covered up by the turbo granny again. "Help me!! I can't control my--" His voice cut off as his face disappeared. His full body was shown, twisted and elongated unnaturally. "Let me suck your dick."
Jiji chuckled and the pink girl looked at him weird. "Why are you laughing?" Jiji continued chuckling as he answered. "I just think that it's funny how he goes from speaking normally to "I wanna suck your dick"."
"Hang in there!!" Momo said as she tried to struggle against her constraints. "You there, male human." One of the serpo said as he got closer to the boy. "You are not authorized to be in this area. Leave immediately." The form of the serpo was shown shifting into something unnatural. "Or else... give us your banana." The serpo was now seen as some strange stripped alien.
It showed a close up of Momo as she said, "Yuck!" And then cut over to the serpo once more. "Six sense organs!" He made a movement with his four fingered hands as he said that.
The screen cut over to turbo Takakura running along the walls as he avoided the power of the serpo using turbo granny's power. The serpo were in distress as they realized that none of their attacks were hitting him. "He's quick! My psychokinesis is unstable!"
Turbo Takakura was seen in between the serpo's legs again as he munched on their crotch and tore it off, he raced to the other serpo to try and do the same. "Our precious bananas...!! You banana thief!!" A close up of the serpo was shown as he made a t shape with his hands, "Serpo Surge!! Caught you!!" Turbo Takakura was flung into a wall with the serpo's psychokinesis powers.
He groaned as Momo yelled for him, "Occult boy!!"
The serpo spoke again. "This is our first encounter with such a belligerent human. We have established friendly relations with humankind. Now give us your banana."
"Friendly relations my ass." Momo grumbled.
The boy spoke from his position still stuck on the wall by the serpo's powers. "I'll give you it!! I'll give you anything I've got!! 'Cause I've always wanted to met aliens!!" Half of his face was revealed again.
The boy with a bowl cut in the first row shrunk in his seat as he heard his onscreen counterpart speak. The girl with glasses saw how uncomfortable he was and placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's okay Takakura."
There was a close up of his face as he spoke in desperation. "I don't have any friends... so I thought aliens might wanna become my friend!! Ever since elementary school I've been trying to call UFOs down!!" The boy's side profile was shown as he started crying. "But they never came!!"
Jiji leaned over to whisper in the pink haired girl's ear. "Do you think he would want to be my friend?" She looked at him in surprise and felt some blush creep onto her face due to how close he was. "I'm sure that if it's you then he wouldn't mind." She answered quickly. Jiji smiled at her before squeezing her hand, "thanks." She looked off to the side and spoke. "No problem."
'Damn his good looks.'
"No matter how much I called for them, they never appeared!! People picked on me for fun..." It showed a young version of him sitting alone at a desk with multiple paper balls on the floor around him. "And aliens never noticed me!! No one ever acknowledged my existence!!"
Then it cut over to the scene from earlier when Momo sat in front of him to stop the bullying. "But Ayase-san... she stood up for me!! So don't you lay a hand on her!! I won't forgive anyone who hurts her!!" He started lifting himself off the wall as he spoke. "If it's for her... I'll even become a freak!!"
Momo felt a hand clamp onto her head, she turned around and saw her grandma smiling down at her. "Look at you getting yourself a little boyfriend!" She started shaking Momo's head around.
"Go get 'em, occult boy!!" Momo yelled from her seat. "Show 'em what a real man's like!!"
"Grandma!" Momo yelled as she tried to pull her grandma's hand off her head. Seiko just laughed as she continued shaking her granddaughter.
The boy was sent right back into the wall a second later by one of the serpoians. "Ayase-san...!! It seems I really wasn't cut out for this...!!" He whined. Momo looked at him in shock. "Hold up. It's a bit early to throw in the towel!!
One of the serpo's lips was shown as he began speaking. "We could never become friends.... with such a brutish human as you."
The pink haired girl rolled her eyes. "Brutish my ass. If anything they're the brutes." She looked over to Momo who was still having her head shaken by her grandma. "Well..."
The last serpo stood in front of where Momo was still tied to the chair, his mechanical peen still out. "And furthermore, we prefer female humans... over male humans." Momo continued to struggle as the serpo used his powers on her again. "Now..." He started speaking to Momo. "Let me arouse you again."
Momo did her best to resist. "Let out your QI!" A voice said.
A young Momo was then seen next to her grandma.
Seiko stopped shaking her granddaughter and spoke while still staring at the screen. "I don't do things to make you embarrassed or uncomfortable..."
"No! I don't wanna! Every single day... My friends make fun of me for it!"
Jiji looked down and sighed. "It's to make you strong." Seiko continued.
"What're you saying! If you let out your qi... you won't have to worry about accidents or sickness!" Young Momo looked off to the side as her grandma spoke. "And troublemakers won't even be able to get close to you!"
"First, let the power into the pit of your stomach..." Young Momo held her hands to her stomach. "Then, imagine letting the qi out the top of your head with a big flash!" Young Momo was seen doing the same movement with her hands that got her bullied earlier.
"So that when I'm not here to protect you... you can live your life out in peace and forget about me." Momo's eyes widened, she turned around quickly so that she could face her grandma.
"Hah hah! Check it out! She's doing it again!" The kids from before showed up as they made fun of her again. "She tryna talk to aliens or something?!"
"No matter what I say, I don't want to lose you." Momo rubbed the back of her head. "So please don't say stuff like that... you mean a lot to me." She mumbled the last bit.
Young Momo stood in front of her grandma upset before she turned around and ran away. "I've had it!! I don't wanna do it again!!"
"Momo wait!!" The woman called after her granddaughter. The camera panned over to show the woman from far away as she watched the child run away.
"I hate you, grandma!! You phony-baloney psychic!!"
Seiko looked at her with an unreadable expression before shaking her head more viciously than before. "You think I don't know that you idiot!" Momo yelped and tried to get her hand off again but her grandma quickly retracted it before she could touch it. "Everyone goes at some point... and you'll continue to grow up with or without me. So let me at least give you this before I go."
Momo looked up at her grandma with a realization. 'She never stopped caring, even now.' Momo looked away with a pinkish tint on her cheeks. "Yeah- well you don't need to make it seem all depressing." Seiko gave her an incredulous look. "Hah?!"
"Hearing you talk like that really bums me out y'know, Imma be lonely without you." It came out as more of a whisper. Seiko rubbed the top of her granddaughter's head as she spoke. "What's this about being lonely? You got friends, don't you? Lean on them when you can't get to me." Seiko quietly walked back to her seat and kicked her legs up on the seat in front of her.
The current Momo was shown with her eyes closed as her thoughts were heard. 'Why am I remembering that now...? I'm sorry, grandma. I was just embarrassed back then..."
"Let the power into the pit of your stomach... then, imagine letting the qi out the top of your head..."
A blue light surrounded her body as the chair that she was stuck in broke apart.
Momo widened her eyes as she looked at the scene. 'Woah. Did I do that?' Up in the fourth row a certain guy with a buzz cut looked at her with an unreadable expression but looked away once he saw her surprised face.
All three beings in the room widened their eyes at the feat. "No way!" Momo shouted as she broke free.
"OOOOOOH! You could use psychic powers, Ayase-san?!" Momo turned around to look at the boy who was still stuck to the wall. "No, I'm spooked by all this too!!"
Jiji looked over at Momo with a smile on his face. "You have superpowers?" Momo looked at him with an unsure expression on her face. "Not right now... but I guess I somehow unlock them in the future." She brought her hand up to her chin in thought.
"It is because your chakras were opened thanks to my people's powers." It was the serpo in the fifth row that spoke up, Momo looked over at him in trepidation. "It seems that you have the gift of psychokinesis despite being a human, it is... interesting. I believed that such a thing was not possible but it seems that we will need to proceed with much more caution." He turned back to the screen and said no more.
The serpo tried using his powers again but to no avail. "NOOOOO!! The human's pushing back against my psychokinesis!!" Momo was somehow floating in the air. "How!! She wasn't able to use psychokinesis earlier!!"
Momo looked at her abilities in shock as the serpo continued speaking. "It can't be!! Since I overstimulated the female human's brainwaves with my psychokinesis... her chakras were opened!!"
"It was all real..." Momo started speaking. "Grandma was a real psychic all along!" She had a more determined expression on her face this time. "Thanks, grandma!! Now, with this... I can kick scumbags seven ways to Sunday!!" The serpo was sent flying as Momo gave him a superpowered kick to the face. The scene was shown once more from a different angle.
"Damn! Look at that kick, girl. Hit your boyfriend with that and he'll never play with you again." Miko said. "He'll probably never walk again too." Kei added. Momo smiled at her friend's words, she really was cool in the future.
Down in the first row a certain nerdy boy was watching the screen in awe. Everything that he had seen so far was something out of his wildest imagination, something he believed would never come true... but apparently it all happened in the future. And he would be in the center of it with this girl. He turned around in his chair to look at the girl in the third row with what can only be described as astonishment.
The ship that they were in exploded on the side due to the force of Momo's kick.
The boy unfortunately missed the sight of the UFO due to the fact that he was still looking at the brown haired girl. She noticed his stare and blushed because of the attention, she covered her face and looked away. "There's one of those UFO things you're so crazy about." She pointed to the screen and the boy was knocked out of his stupor, he turned to the screen in interest but it had already changed scenes. He sighed in disappointment.
Momo continued covering her face to hide away from her friends who were making knowing faces at her.
"GAAAAH!!" Momo yelped.
"Oh gosh." The pink haired girl started, "I completely forgot you didn't have clothes on. I was so captured by the action."
"What the?! We were in a UFO?!"
The boy in the first row rolled his eyes at the comment. "UAP!"
Momo looked over to where the boy was so that she could check up on him. "You alright, occult boy?! We gotta run!!" Instead of finding him stuck to the wall he was now in front of her with his mouth open ready to take a bite of her.
"Hey what the hell?! I thought he was helping her!" The chubby boy in the first row spoke up. The girl in the first row frowned. "Is it cause he's still possessed by the spirit?" The granny made a point to look away from all the stares being directed at her.
She held her hands above her head to stop him from taking a chomp out of her head. "OWWWW!! The hell're you doing, stupid?! C'mon get a grip!! You little....!!" She placed her hand on his forehead while one of her arms were keeping his mouth busy, and used her powers to push him off.
However in doing so she also separated him from turbo granny. The boy fell onto her lap as turbo granny appeared before Momo in her base spirit form. "Turbo granny?!" Momo looked at the spirit in confusion.
"Who the hell are you...?!" Turbo granny shared the same confusion. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" The boy started yelling as he convulsed on the floor. Momo looked over at him in worry. "The curse ain't going away!! Even though turbo granny left his body!!"
"I have his dick now."
"What?!" There were different levels of shock from everyone as they heard those words. Jiji held a hand over his mouth as he tried to stop himself from laughing. The pink haired girl wasn't sure how to even react as she looked at the screen. Miko and Kei held their stomachs as they laughed while Momo was going through the same thing as Jiji. Takakura looked at the screen, disturbed by the revelation. The two others in the row with him, rubbed his back unsure how else to comfort the boy.
"As long as I have the boy's dick... the curse won't leave him." Turbo granny smiled down at them both. "If you want it back, come to the tunnel. This place is too far for me." The spirit started fading away as she spoke. "Come there and I'll entertain you to your heart's content... you gaudy hag."
The pink haired girl rolled her eyes, now over the dick comment. "The only hag here is you." Turbo granny heard that comment and sneered. "Excuse me, bitch!" The girl turned her head to look at the old woman in the fifth row. "Is your old age messing with your hearing?! I called you a hag, granny! Moyo looks a thousand times better than you." She turned back around.
Momo looked at her in exasperation. "Thanks but it's Momo, if you're gonna use my first name at least get it right." The pink haired girl looked at her as if she was stupid. "That's what I said, isn't it?" She flipped her hair over her shoulder and looked at the screen again. Momo sighed but chose not to correct her again.
Momo stood up and yelled at the spot that turbo granny was. "Who are you calling a gaudy hag, you old bat?! Give his thingy back!" She pointed to the boy, who looked like he was running despite the fact that he was still laying down on his side. Just then, the ship exploded again.
"Oh, crap! If we don't bust outta here, we're toast!" Momo then looked down at the boy. "Get it together, stupid!! We're leaving!!" She yelled in exasperation. "GWAAAR!!" The boy responded in kind, still not in the right state of mind. The camera panned out to show the ship crashing into the hospital, leaving it in shambles.
"Holy shit!"
"This sucks." The two teens were now on the road, a few blocks away from the destroyed hospital. A close up of Momo was shown as she spoke. "I believe in aliens now. 'Cause I got abducted by 'em."
Momo covered her face in embarrassment when she heard one of her friends snort in amusement.
A close up of the boy was shown next. "And I believe in ghosts now. Because I got possessed by one." It cut to show Momo sitting on her knees as she used to powers on the boy, she had his school shirt on to cover herself. "So whadda we do now?" She asked. "I'm not sure either." He answered.
"I've gotta keep your curse under control with my psychic powers or else you'll run wild."
"Sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?" The girl in the first row asked. Takakura looked over at her. "Probably cause it'll be a lotta work for her to do." The girl's eyebrows furrowed. "But it's not your fault."
"I know, but still..."
"My uniform, wallet, and phone... they're all gone."
"What do you think we should do about getting rid of the curse?" The boy asked. Momo rolled her eyes. "Kick that turbo granny's ass, obviously. She put it on you."
"I see. I'll be leaving for a while, then."
Momo looked at him in surprise. "Huh?! Right now?!" The boy then started taking off his clothes.
There was a whistle in the audience. "Wow a free show?" Miko bumped Momo's shoulder. "You enjoying this, Mo-chan?" Momo rolled her eyes while chuckling.
"Put my clothes on and go back home, Ayase-san."
"Wow, what a real gentleman. He's a keeper Momo." Seiko commented from the fourth row. Momo groaned and ran a hand down her face. "Not you too granny." Seiko just shrugged.
"Hang on! If I don't stay with you, you'll go wild!!" Momo refuted. The boy looked away as he spoke. "It's my fault this happened... I can't let you get any more involved in this, Ayase-san."
Momo frowned at his reasoning and looked down at the boy in the first row, he had a downcast expression and his hair covered his eyes.
"I'll find some way to work up the courage to go to the tunnel." He continued. "And then I'll take care of all this."
"Why can't you just ask me to come with you?!" Momo said. "After all I've been through, I can't turn back on this! And besides, if I hadn't been there back then, you would have died! Don't you think we should work together?!"
The boy looked down as he played with his hair. "Are you sure...? Even if you want to work with me..."
The girl with glasses looked at Takakura with a smile. "I think you don't give yourself enough credit." The boy fiddled with his hands as he looked at the screen. "Yeah... maybe..."
Momo shot him an exasperated look. "God, quit going on about it! C'mon put 'em on! We're going!" She kicked him in a playful manner. "Sorry..." He responded. "Im.." He rubbed the back of his head as he spoke. "An awkward guy..."
She looked over at him in shock. "Huh?"
The boy held up his clothes as he looked away. "Ayase-san, you put them on. Otherwise, I can't really talk to you straight."
Momo was silent as she looked at him with an unreadable expression. 'No way... why's my heart pounding...?!"
Miko and Kei looked at their friend with shit-eating grins, Momo made sure not to look in their direction so that she wouldn't see. What she did see was Jiji and the pink haired girl looked at the screen with strange expressions, she raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Her face was a bit pink. 'Nope, nuh-uh. I just got a little flustered 'cause he accidentally dropped a Takakura Ken line, that's all. Just calm down, me...' She looked up again with a smile. "By the way... what's your name, again? I'm not good at putting names to faces, see."
The boy turned around to look at her. "Uh... right."
"It's Takakura Ken."
Out of nowhere wind picked up which caused the scene to look much more epic than it actually was.
The seating arrangements are below:
Notes:
For characters like Kei/Muko and Miko, I won't get their personalities correct since they don't have many appearances even in the manga. I could probably count the amount of times they showed up on a single hand if I'm being for real. Also, I know that they're not important characters but I just wanted to include them.
Right now Aira doesn't feel anything but physical attraction but that will change as time passes. She was kinda hard to write but hopefully I was able to do her justice.
In case you’re confused by the seating, just imagine you’re in front of the seats not behind. I made a visual and you an see it at the end. Also, the seats are higher the farther back you go. Aira and Jiji will go back to their original seats in the next chapter, don't worry.
Chapter 2: Chap 2. That's An Alien, Ain't It?
Summary:
I'm sorry I took so long to update, school has just been stressing me out and I couldn't find the time to work on this fic. Also, you might have noticed that I changed the title and added [Every Monday], originally it was my intention to have this out by the 18th but unfortunately could not. I changed it again because I was not confident that I could update every monday.
Watching the opening and viewing the first fight with Okarun's powers. The opening was a suggestion from someone last chapter so I decided to add that :)
Notes:
Please go back and read chapter one if you haven’t already, it should be completed and posted properly now for those who clicked on when it was in it's early stages.
Edited 8/21/25

Chapter Text
Momo dragged her hands down her face as she groaned. "Oh my god... it's actually real!" The boy in the first row turned around and gave her an exasperated look. "Did you think I was lying?"
The girl slumped in her seat with little tears in her eyes. "My brain kinda rationalized it as you playing a prank on me so I didn't take it seriously..." He sighed and turned away while rubbing his head. "It's too early for me to be stressed." Seiko spoke up from her seat in the fourth row. "Believe me kid, it's never too early to start stressing."
"Oh that reminds me!" The girl in the first row spoke up, she pushed up her glasses and looked at the woman. "I'm curious... how old are you exactly?" She shrunk back from all the stares directed at her. "You don't have to answer if you do not want to of course!" She added.
Seiko raised an eyebrow before crossing her arms. "I don't really care. I'm-"
The screen shifted to show the child once again. "Apologies for cutting your conversation short, but I need you all to continue your viewing. Please remain seated so I can play the next episode." Seiko sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes as she sat back in her seat.
"Excuse me! Will there be any more compromising scenes like before?" The pink haired girl asked the child.
"None of that same intensity as far as I'm aware, at least until the 50s with the bath house." The child placed a hand on their chin in thought. The pink haired girl looked at them in confusion before shrugging as she stood up. "Good enough. C'mon let's go Jiji." She pulled him along with her as she walked away. "Huh?" He looked at her in confusion as she pulled him away.
Momo stared at her in confusion. "Why are you leaving?" The pink haired girl looked back at her. "That terrible scene is over and there won't be any more like it until much later so there is no other reason for me to stay... Don't tell me you expected me to stay?" The girl brought a hand up to her mouth to hide a smirk. "Do not worry, I won't be going far so you'll have many opportunities to revel in my beauty." She flipped her hair over her shoulder.
The brown haired girl felt her cheeks heat up. "Like hell I will!" She raised a fist in defiance. The other girl just kept smirking at her. "Sureeee, the same way you didn't feel your heart beating at the end of the recording." Momo just frowned and grumbled. "Just go back to your seat already!"
The pink haired girl sat back down in her original seat, with Jiji sitting right next to her. He looked over at her in confusion. 'Why did she bring me with her?'
"Good. Is there anyone else who wishes to move before we continue?" Nobody else moved. "Alright then we shall continue, but I wish to inform you that you will be watching something else first before continuing where the previous showing left off."
The guy with a buzz cut decided to speak up. "What is it?"
"You will find out in just a moment, some might just enjoy what I have to show.."
Seiko rolled her eyes and scowled. "Stop being so damn cryptic!"
The screen faded to black before a splash of color was shown on the screen. Japanese characters and the word Dandadan appeared.
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
Multiple eyes widened as the song played.
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
"Hey it's us!" Jiji remarked.
Akirame no warui yakara
Antara nanka ja taba natte mo kanawan
Turbo granny scoffed as she saw the eye of her full spirit form.
Kuwabara, kuwabara, kuwabara
"It's those pervy aliens!" Momo shouted.
Me ni mo tomaran hayasa, hey
Kutabaran damaran
Sagaran oshitoosu wagamama, hey
Seiko narrowed her eyes at the sight of the new spirit.
Soko doki na jama da ore wa mou hitori no anata
Sada-Chan, Kaya-Chan
Wansaka yomi no kuni wonderland, hey
Turbo granny frowned as she saw the outline of the potential spirit. For what reason would they be shown? Takakura looked on in dread as he wondered if he would need to fight these big things in the future. Momo smirked at her appearance.
Gokitouchuu ni nanda ga
Yonji, yonjuu, yonpun mawattara
Takakura shivered as he remembered the events from earlier. He was glad that he was the furthest from that grandma.
Yonshaku, yonsun, yonpun sama ga
Kaminaccha bang around, hey
Jiji snorted at the pose the boy was in, while the boy in question looked on in confusion.
Yobu koe ga shitan nara
Moji doori otsukare sama yan
The girl in the first row looked at the screen in curiosity at the new person(?) that appeared.
Haireta, haireta, haireta, haireta, haireta
Hisshi de haideta saki de kiri wa hareta
Deko to boko ga umaku kamiattara
Itami ga kasanattara (0:44)
"Whoa, two new places that haven't been seen before." The same girl commented.
Kokoro karada atama
Minagitte yuku nandaka
Senaka ni ima hane ga haeta naraba
Momo smirked as she saw more of her powers on screen. She couldn't wait to finally have them herself.
Kurayami kara osaraba, ay
Tobitatte yuku kanata, ay
Jiji and the pink haired girl both smiled at their appearances. Some eyebrows rose at the appearance of a certain cat.
Kokoro karada atama
Natsukashii atataka sa
Ashimoto ni ima hana ga saita naraba
"Woah look at those moves, girl." Momo heard her friends tease from beside her but chose to ignore it in favor of scowling at the appearance of the serpo on the screen.
Kurayami kara osaraba, ay
Tobitatte yuku kanata, woah!
Seiko narrowed her eyes as she tried to identify the spirit on the screen. The guy with the buzz cut looked back at the creature in the fifth row that seemed similar in some way to the one on screen.
Nando datte ikiru omae ya kimi no naka
Mabuta no ura ya mimi no naka
Mune no oku ni itsuiteru merodii
Rizumu ni, yeah
"Woah, what the hell?!" Momo shouted as she nearly jumped out of her seat. Looks of confusion were sent her way as she slowly sat back down. They didn't seem to notice but Taka- the occult boy's transformation was different that what was shown earlier.
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
Dandadan, dandadan, dandadan
"Now that the opening has finished, I must now ask for your thoughts on it before I allow you to view the next video." The child spoke again as the screen cut to them.
They all looked around at each other before a certain redhead decided to speak up. "I thought it was cool, very colorful and artistic." The pink haired girl rolled her eyes and sighed. "Yeah but there was a severe lack of me in it, so it wasn't really that good." Jiji looked at her in amusement.
"I thought it was cool." The girl in the first row said while smiling. "It kinda feels like we're watching an anime though." The others in her row nodded.
The guy with a buzz cut tilted his head and looked at the child. "We saw the redhead and pink girl in the video but they haven't showed up yet." The two perked up at the mention.
"That is correct, those two will appear later on. Though the boy won't be shown until a bit later in the viewing."
The chubby boy in the first row pushed his glasses up as he spoke. "Well we also saw that turbo granny and the serpo in the back show up in the opening as well, so that means that whatever is shown in that opening will happen in the future that we are shown."
Miko sighed in exasperation. "Thanks for the observation, captain obvious." The boy frowned and turned away.
"Yeah but they're also in here with us... so could that mean that we'll eventually appear on the screen as well?"
The was silence for a few seconds. "That is sufficient enough, i will now play the next segment. Feel free to call upon me if needed but do not expect me to respond." Many raised an eyebrow at that but none made a comment.
The screen turned back on to show Momo shouting at the boy, now known as Takakura Ken, in disbelief. "No way!" A faint blush covered her cheeks, "I refuse to believe you!"
Momo rolled her eyes at the laughter of her friends."Don't ever change girl." Kei said while wiping a tear from her eye while Miko placed a hand on her shoulder as she giggled.
Takakura adjusted his glasses and stared at her in confusion. "I don't understand what you mean. Whether you believe me or not... my name is Takakura Ken."
Momo had to put her hand on her chest to make sure her heart didn't try to escape as she nearly lost it after hearing her beloved actor's name.
Momo threw herself on the floor and rolled around with her hands covering her ears and eyes closed. "KYAAAAA!! STOOOOP! I don't wanna hear it!!" Unbeknownst to her, the curse activated again, due to her not keeping watch of Takakura. "Oh!! Crap! The curse!!"
Half of his face had already started turning again as he spoke. "Ayase-san, hurry!!" Then the curse finally took over his senses, "LET ME SUCK YOUR DICK!"
"GYAAAAA!!" Momo exclaimed.
Jiji laughed. "Remind me to never mention Takakura Ken in front of you!" Momo had heart in her eyes as she heard his name again, she looked off to the side as she sighed in happiness. Seiko just rolled her eyes, already used to the nonsense of her granddaughter.
Takakura was next shown smashed into a wall, his glasses were cracked from the impact. "Th...thank you..." Momo still had blush on her face as she spoke, "Lemme lay down some rules. Your name is off-limits!"
"Al...right."
"Wow you really can't handle it when people mention-"
"No! Stop!" Miko and Kei shouted at the same time to stop the girl in the first row from continuing her sentence. "I don't think I can physically handle it if she starts ranting about him again." Kei nodded along with her friend's words.
Eventually they started walking back and Momo spoke again. "Since you like the occult... you're Okarun." Sweat dripped down the side of Okarun's face as he looked at her in confusion. "O...okarun..."
"Use the other name and you're dead."
Okarun sighed as he looked at the screen. "You're not gonna seriously use that name, right?" He turned around and asked the girl, only to find her looking at screen in interest. "You're not serious." He frowned at her.
She looked down at him with smile. "I dunno, I kinda like the name...Okarun." The boy groaned and turned away while grumbling.
"The other name is my name, though..." Okarun turned away.
'Well... this is the first nickname I've ever been given. So I guess it's alright.' The boy thought, feeling his cheeks heat up.
The girl with glasses sitting next to him looked at him in confusion. "Why are you blushing Takakura?" The boy looked at her in surprise as his blush deepened from the embarrassment of getting caught.
Momo gave him an unimpressed look. "Your looks say otherwise... Okarun."
"Wha-!!"
Momo started laughing. "Guess you actually like the name, huh Oka-" Her laughing died down as she looked at the first row. The boy she was talking to was blushing while having a conversation with the girl next to him. Her blank expression did not go unnoticed by her friends, they looked at each other before looking back at her with a knowing gaze. Momo turned back to the screen with her arms crossed.
"I can't help how I look!!" The boy yelled as he hid his face by looking down. Momo lowered herself as she tried to see his face. "Lemme see your face for a sec. OOOOOH! Seems like you like it, Okarun!"
Then out of nowhere he let one rip. Momo backed up and her face looked as if she had eaten a lemon.
Jiji snorted and covered his mouth to keep himself from laughing.
"Gross! How can you rip one right in my face?! You suck!"
"Because you're putting pressure on me, Ayase-san!!" He retorted with a frustrated expression.
Jiji had recovered from his laughing fit and failed to notice the look he got from his seat mate.
The sun was seen rising in the distance. "Whoa, hold up ! It's morning already!" Momo commented in shock.
"Damn, how long were you guys even there?" The guy with a buzz cut asked no one in particular.
"That means the turbo granny won't come out!!" Okarun looked at her in confusion. "Huh?! Are you sure about that?!"
She looked at him with a calm expression as she explained. "Yeah, ghosts only come out at night. Wanna stay at my place for now 'til it's night?"
Kei looked over with a tease on the tip of her tongue but Momo didn't give her the chance to speak. "No- I already know what you're gonna say about it." Kie just smiled at her friend innocently. "Whatever do you mean, my dear Momo?"
Momo scowled at her friend and looked away while pouting. She ignored Kei's giggles.
"You look scarier than any ghost right now."
Both teens now stood in front of an open gate that stood outside Momo's home. "Careful, my grandma's pretty strict towards boys. She nearly killed my ex before."
Seiko rolled her eyes. She had a damn good reason, she knew no good would come from Momo hanging around that boyfriend of hers and the recording only proved her point.
Okarun furrowed his brows as he took in her words. "Uh... wait... you're telling me this now?" He sighed and began to walk through the gate but was stopped by some unknown force. He suddenly burst into flames.
"Wha- what just happened?!" Okarun looked back at the girl in worry. She was flustered by the sudden attention on her as everyone also looked towards her. "Uhhhh- I'm not sure!"
Seiko sighed. "He's not dead, just watch."
"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!" Momo floundered around due to Okarun's sudden reaction. "HUUUUH!! WHOA, WHAT THE HECK!" She exclaimed as she thrust her hands forward. She looked around and saw the small body of water off to the side. "ORYAH!" The boy was thrown in the water with Momo's powers. "You okay, Okarun?!
His steaming hand popped out from the water to give her a thumbs up to show her he was fine. She looked around to find out what was the cause of him bursting into flames and saw a seal on the side on the gate. "So it was this, huh?"
She turned to the boy again. "Sorry, Okarun! There was a barrier up there!" A soggy Okarun was climbing out of the water as he spoke. "I thought I was gonna die..."
Jiji turned around and looked at Seiko in the fourth row. "Seiko-san..." He waited until she looked over before continuing. "How does it feel to get burned by a barrier like that?"
The woman was silent for a few seconds before speaking. "Why do you wanna know?"
He rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down a little. "I was just curious since it seems like Takakura was hurting a lot." She looked at him with a blank expression for a few seconds before she answered. "It's as he described, hot. I wouldn't know first-hand but I could only assume it feels like having your skin burned off." She shrugged after.
"...I see, thank you for answering, Seiko-san." He had a tight smile on his face.
"I guess it's fine if I take it off for a bit..." Momo said as she took the seal off of the gate.
Seiko narrowed her eyes at the screen and sucked her teeth. "Dammit..."
"'Kay! Try going through now!" She turned to Okarun.
"Is it really safe?"
"Yep! I'll just throw you in the river again if you burn up!" She said to give him a bit of reassurance.
"Isn't this a bit unsafe?" The girl in the first row asked as she pushed her glasses up. Momo looked at her in confusion and was about speak up when someone beat her to it.
"What do you mean?" Okarun asked
The boy slowly put hand through the archway of the gate. "Safe!" Momo said as he fully made it through.
"OOOOOH! FREAKYYYY!"
Momo quickly checked on him. "How do you feel? Anything different?"
"Wellll..." The girl continued, rubbing the back of her neck. "It's just that the seal is on there for a reason, right? So just taking it off like that will probably have negative effects. And you guys confirmed the existence of spirits, so going around without protection probably isn't the smartest move."
Okarun put a hand on his chest. "My whole body feels like it's tingling..."
"Anyways, what's up with your hair?" Momo held her stomach as she laughed and walked towards her house. The boy squawked in indignation while Momo continued speaking. "Lmao! You've got a granny perm, too!"
Miko snorted at the interaction on screen, she looked over at her friend and was about to tease her but saw the look on her face. Momo was looking down at the first row with a frown, more specifically she was looking at the boy she chooses to refer to as Okarun. He was talking to the girl in his row, if she remembered correctly then she was just his class president.
"GAH! What are you laughing about?! I NEARLY DIED BACK THERE!!" The boy shouted.
Jiji frowned as he looked at the screen, he hoped they wouldn't have to witness any deaths while they were in here.
The scene shifted to show both of the teens inside of the house. "Graaaandma!" Momo looked around a little before giving up. "Huh? Guess she's not home."
"Seiko-saaaaan!" The woman in question turned her head to see a certain redheaded sitting on his knees in his chair as he turned around body to face her. "Do you still do those guest appearances?" Aira looked at her seatmate in exasperation while Seiko gave him a blank look before nodding.
"That's probably where I'm at right now."
Jiji smiled and rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah I guessed as much but didn't want to assume." Seiko nodded in acknowledgement before turning to the screen again and Jiji did the same.
Momo started walking up the stars and turned to look at Okarun. "Whatever. Come up here." The boy looked a little nervous as he spoke, "P-pardon the intrusion..."
They were seen in Momo's room. Nothing that noticeable about it except her Takakura Ken posters in the background. "Hand on a minute. I'm gonna change, so close the door."
"Is that really a good idea?" The pink haired girl asked with a raised eyebrow. Momo looked at her confused. "What do you mean?" The pink haired girl didn't turn to face her and just pointed at the screen.
"Uh, okay..." He closed the door and immediately transformed. "Ah! Ayase-san!! The curse!!" He opened the door again in a panic. "Hang on!! Don't just open the door like that!!"
Momo groaned as she ran a hand down her face. "Damn. I already forgot about that." Surprisingly she paid no attention to the fact that everyone could see her in her undergarments again, no one commented on it so she wouldn't either.
Momo covered her chest and turned away, she used her powers to suppress the curse again. "Face the wall!" Okarun did as she said and covered his face. "Sorry..." At some point Momo had managed to pull a shirt over her head. She sighed as she fixed it on her body. "God, this is so annoying!"
A few minutes later Momo threw some clothes at his feet. The boy turned to look at the clothes as Momo spoke. "Put those on, Okarun. They're women's clothes, but they should do."
"Thank you..." Okarun bent down and grabbed the clothes.
"By the way, your thingy's gone now, right?" Momo asked while pulling her pants up.
The guy with a buzz cut raised a brow, that was certainly a way to ask. Jiji had to hold back another laugh while the girl in the first row looked at her seatmate with something akin to pity.
The boy snapped his neck around in surprise. "Huh?! What?! What's that supposed to mean?!" He quickly covered his face and turned around again to be respectful. "AAAH!! I'm sorry!! I'm not looking!!"
"I don't think she would mind it if you were anyway." Kei commented and laughed at the embarrassed look she got from Momo.
"Geez, it's alright now." Momo said nonchalantly. "C'mon... let me see it."
Jiji let out the laugh that he was holding while the pink haired girl next the him looked at the screen in disbelief. The chubby boy in the first row dramatically looked off to the side as a single tear fell from his eye. Okarun blushed in embarrassment, he understood why she said it, but it was still a bit too forward for him.
Momo continued to speak. "The turbo granny was saying... "I have his dick, so he's cursed.""
"I still can't believe that happened." The pink haired girl said while sighing.
"YEEK?!" The boy immediately went to go check, and lo and behold it was "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!"
"Whoa, you're kidding!" Momo covered her mouth in shock. "What happened? Lemme look for a bit!"
Miko snorted. "You're way too forward. At least take him out to dinner first." Momo just rolled her eyes.
"As if I'd ever show you!! What are you, stupid?!" Okarun yelled in hysteria as he backed away. "It's alright if you've got nothing down there, right?" Momo said as if there was nothing wrong with what she was saying.
The guy with a buzz cut sighed. "Doesn't make it any less weird."
The boy didn't agree with her logic however, "It doesn't matter if I have anything or not!!" Momo went to sit down as she spoke. "Geez, you're so stingy."
She was seated on the floor by the end of her bed, and grabbed her bean bag so that she could hug it.
"This is the pits!! What do I do now?! It's gone!!" Okarun said as he pulled up his pants.
"Don't say it like it's my fault."
"You're the one who proposed the contest!!"
"HUH?!"
"Y'know, your banter is kinda funny. It's a nice change of pace from the events shown earlier." The girl from the first row said loud enough so the others could hear. The pink haired girl decided to speak up. "I guess. I don't have to hear them yelling so it's alright."
Jiji rolled his eyes in a playful manner. "I'm just glad that they're okay after everything that happened."
"Ehhh I wouldn't say that." The pink haired girl spoke again. "The boy still lost his... y'know." She gestured to his missing jewels. Jiji snorted and shrugged. "Yeah, but I would take that over them being dead."
"I guess."
"I didn't wanna hear all your occult talk in the first place!" Momo said with an irritated expression.
Okarun frowned but continued looking at the screen.
The boy stopped putting on his clothes as she continued. "You're the one who came up to me like you were tryna pick a fight!"
"I didn't want to let the chance slip." The scene of Momo walking away the other day was shown, but from his perspective. "I'd always wanted friends... so I told myself I wouldn't let this opportunity go."
Momo bit her lip as she heard his reasoning. Maybe she was too harsh on him.
"That's why... I was so desperate to talk to you." He had finished putting on his clothes and turned to face the wall as he continued speaking. "But as I figured... it's like we live in different worlds... someone like me shouldn't have approached you..."
"What do you mean someone like me? Putting yourself down like that really pisses me off." Momo said while looking at the boy in the first row.
"I'm sorry." He continued. "For getting you involved in all this." It cut to Momo looking off to the side as she listened to him. "Once it's all over... you can go back to ignoring me again."
Okarun looked back at her with a confused expression. "I don't agree with anything you're saying on the screen." She continued. "I'm the one that chose to interact with you. I made the decision to go along with the bet, so don't go placing all the blame on yourself because you think you deserve it."
"But-" "And don't go assuming you know how I feel, so what if other people say dumb shit about you. If I choose to be your friend, then that's a decision I make because I like hanging out with you, not cause I feel sorry for you." She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at him, as if challenging him to deny any of her speech.
"That part of you really pisses me off." Okarun's eyes widened as Momo continued speaking. "You make assumptions about people... and seal yourself off from them..." He looked down and felt his chest tighten with an uncomfortable feeling. "The reason why you don't have any friends is 'cause you push them away."
Okarun looked away, he knew she was right but... how much of it was actually true. He only pushes others away because they do it first. He doesn't want to start liking someone only to be hurt when they don't feel the same way.
Okarun held his head down as he closed his eyes to keep himself from crying, but then he felt something bump into him.
"Don't tell me I should ignore you." Momo was now crouched beside him. "Let's just talk about the occult stuff like usual."
"And I don't mind handing you that same offer. We may not have gone through the same thing they have." Momo pointed her thumb at their onscreen counterparts as she spoke. "But I wouldn't mind hearing all about your supernatural alien facts."
He turned away to hide his tears. "Hey! Say something!" Momo said. "Don't be stiff!"
The boy was silent for a few seconds before choosing to speak. "Bitch!"
"Excuse me?!" Momo yelled in indignation.
"YOU SKANK!!"
"HUUUUH?!"
"Oh my god, even in the future they argue." Kei said while chuckling. Miko just sighed as she watched her friend yell at the boy in the first row.
Momo grabbed onto his shirt in rage. "The fuck'd you just say?!"
"You've got no delicacy, Ayase-san!!" Okarun shot back. "You go right after people's weak spots!!"
"The hell you mean, delicacy?!"
Suddenly a bell rang, startling the two out of their fight. "Do you think your grandmother's home?"
The pink haired girl groaned and ran a hand down her face before yelling at the two nuisances. "Both of you be quiet!! Some people are trying to watch!!" Momo and Okarun looked at her in shock before feeling embarrassed due to all the eyes that were now on them. "Right, sorry." The boy said as he sat down, the girl looked around before sitting down as well. "Yeah, my bad."
"Ssh! Be quiet!" They both looked down the stairs. Sweat dropped down the side of Momo's face as she spoke. "I've never heard... that doorbell before." She started slowly going down the stairs as the boy looked at her worryingly.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
Momo looked back at him. "My grandma's told me before... we have two doorbells."
Seiko sighed as she looked at the door. The guy with the buzz cut looked over at her and decided to ask a question. "So they're basically screwed unless they get that seal back on?"
"Pretty much."
Okarun shivered as he thought about more evil spirits targeting him. Just one was enough, thank you!
"One of them's for humans." Okarun started to become much more worried as she continued. "And the other one... is for evil spirits." A shot of the front door was shown as the doorbell continued to ring. Both teens made their way down the stairs. "Crap! It's 'cause I took down the charm!"
"Yeah, not your best moment Mo-chan." Miko said as she leaned over to her friend. Momo didn't say anything cause she knew that she couldn't refute it, taking off the seal was pretty dumb of her.
Okarun looked at the door in shock. "Whoa! There's something out there!" He exclaimed. Momo pulled him over to the back door. "What do we do now?!" He asked her in panic.
Momo tried to calm him down as she explained. "Put the charm back where it belongs! If there's an evil spirit out there, he'll get burned like you!" They made their way out the house through the back door.
"Are you going to burn me too??!" The boy asked in apprehension.
Momo shot the boy in the first row a withering stare. "Do you think I would just let you die after going through all the trouble of keeping you close?" He turned around and stared at her for a few seconds before shrugging. She groaned and slid a hand down her face.
"You better get off the grounds!" the girl said in response. She tried to stay close to the wall and sneak around to the edge, the boy followed after her but a little more nervous. "Alright, wait to put the charm up until I can get out, if you can!" He told her.
Momo peaked around the corner to see it no different from what they previously saw when they first came in. "Not there... where'd it go?"
Okarun adjusted his glasses as he looked to the side in shock. "Ayase-san! It's..."
It was gone. Everything surrounding the property of the house had disappeared.
"Crap, crap! " Momo said as she pushed Okarun away. "Anyways, lets get you outta here! C'mom, go that way, that way! Hurry!"
"Okay, so not as bad as I thought." Seiko mumbled to herself.
"AAAAAAH!! AYASE-SAN!!" The boy yelled. Momo looked over in worry. "What now?!" The boy turned to her in panic. "I can't get out!" He had his hand placed on a wall that most definitely was not there before.
"The wall's... trapping us in!!" He yelled.
"What the- how does that even happen?!" The pink haired girl yelled.
"Is there a way to leave?" The girl in the first row questioned worriedly.
Seiko kicked her legs up and rested them on the seat in front of her as she spoke. "All they have to do is put the seal back on and they should be fine."
The guy with a buzz cut turned to look at her. "But how will they do that if the wall is blocking the guy from leaving?"
She shrugged. "They gotta find some way to do it without him dying." She sounded nonchalant but inside she was concerned for the boy. Hopefully the spirit that was in there with them would not be too difficult to vanquish.
Momo felt a stinging sensation in her nose. She brought a hand up to her nose and felt something drip from it.
"Is that blood?"
Her vision became unsteady as her legs seemed unable to support her any longer. She fell to her knees and covered her nose. "What the...?! Crap, this is super bad...!!"
"Ayase-san...!!"
Momo looked to her left to see Okarun collapse as well, copious amounts of blood dripping from his nose. She hurriedly ran up to him. "You okay, Okarun?! Hang in there!!"
"Shit!" Jiji felt his stomach flip at the sight of all that blood dripping from the boy's nose. He knew that it hadn't happened yet but he still looked down at the boy in the first row to see how he was doing. The boy wasn't doing much better than him after seeing his future self like that.
"EEEEEEEEK!! BLOOOOOOD!! BLOOOOOOOOOOOD!!"
"Yesh! I feel bad for all the people who are squeamish." The pink haired girl said to her seat partner.
The red haired boy looked down at her, she still had her gaze toward the screen but her hand tightened around his. He continued staring at her for a few seconds before squeezing back.
Momo's eyes widened as she seemed to notice something. Her hand snapped up immediately to cover her nose as she stood up. "Black fog!! That's what's doing this!!" She looked around as she spoke. "Crap, what do we do... if this keeps up, we'll really be..."
Her gaze landed on the place they came in from. "The archway!! I should be able to put up the charm!!"
Okarun quickly stood up. "Hold on a moment! You can't put it up!" Momo snapped her head to him in shock. "Why?!" He pointed to the archway and her gaze followed. "The archway is buried in the wall! If it stays there, I won't be able to get out!"
Suddenly a large gust of wind appeared before them, it cleared up a second later the reveal a strange creature.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" Some people yelled out in shock.
It was a large looking sumo wrestler, well something resembling that. It was as tall as a house and had an unnatural looking face. "I found you." It was squatting with its chest parallel to the ground, and it's arms facing outward.
"You are bad people. You broke our promise. Your genitals..." It raised its leg, a move reminiscent of a sumo wrestler. "Hand them over!!"
"What the hell... does every ghost or alien, have an obsession with your dick?" The buzz cut boy said. Momo was starting to wonder that too as she looked at the screen with a worried expression. Okarun however, squinted at the screen, the sumo wrestler looked somewhat familiar to him.
The two teens ran away as the sumo wrestler destroyed the building not too far from them. "GYAAAA!" They screamed in unison.
Momo looked behind as she continued running. "Crap! What the hell's the spirit?! Anyways, you've got another thingy on you?!" The awkward fashion in which Okarun was running caused many people in the audience to laugh. "Of course not!!" He refuted.
They turned the corner and hid behind another part of the house. "That's an alien!!" Momo looked at him in confusion, "HUH?!"
The girl in the first row looked at her seatmate. "Do you know what type of alien it is?" He debated telling her but decided against it. "I think that I'll mention it in a second." The girl seemed to be alright with that and looked back at the screen.
"There's no mistaking those gills!! It's the floodwoods monster!!"
Momo squinted her eyes as she tried to think back to if she remembered seeing anything about that. Jiji eyes widened and he smiled as he remembered looking at a few posts talking about that alien.
The scene changed to show a strange looking alien standing next to a tree. "It's described as an alien about ten feet tall. It was first sighted in the American town of floodwoods... and in Japan, it's been seen in the yamanashi prefecture."
It then showed a scene of the doorbell being rung before. "Then what about the doorbell?! You mean aliens can use spirit devices, too?!" Momo asked.
"Yes, I was wondering that too." The chubby boy in the first row said.
"Well aliens and ghosts are both supernatural, right? And we've seen them interacting with no problem before, so aliens doing stuff that ghosts can isn't too surprising." The guy with the buzz cut said.
"Studies show that people who see psychic phenomena frequently... are also prone to seeing UFOs!!" The scene cuts back to the two teens standing with their backs to the wall. "In order words, aliens and ghosts may share some features in common!!"
Momo looked around the corner to seen if the alien was still after them. "So he's with the aliens from yesterday?! God, they are persistent!! We've gotta hurry and deal with him... or else we'll be killed by the smog!" Momo looked conflicted as she continued to speak. "But if I'm suppressing your curse, Okarun... I can't use my psychic powers..."
Just then, Okarun stepped up with determination present on his face. "I'll fight him!! Release, the curse, if you can!!"
"Wait! So you want her to release the curse so that you could use it to fight the alien?" Jiji asked. Okarun shrugged, "I think that's what I'm planning but I'm not sure."
Momo looked at him in shock. "What's gotten into you?!" It showed Okarun pushing up his glasses with a frog-like expression. "I'm not afraid of no aliens! Do you think you could suppress the curse in my head and release it in the rest of my body?"
"Oh that's kinda smart!" Miko said. "So he gets the powers from the curse but not the unstable bits that make him go crazy."
Kei looked unsure. "But what if it doesn't work? He's putting a lot of faith into Momo even though she just got her powers." She then looked at Momo with a sorry expression. "No offense."
Momo shrugged. "No, I get it. I probably wouldn't agree to something like that if we weren't desperate."
The building that they were hiding against suddenly exploded and forced them to run away. "GYAAAAAA!!"
"Easier said than done! I still haven't worked out my powers yet!" Momo shouted as she ran.
However, Okarun seemed somewhat confident in their chances. "The chances are slim, but you may be able to control the turbo granny's powers with enough luck!!"
They finally make it behind another building when Momo speaks again. "But I'm not sure I can!!"
"Please!"
Momo held her hands out as she tried to tap into turbo granny's spiritual energy. Okarun started to slowly transform, however the alien from before was also getting closer. "HAND THEM OVER!"
Okarun, as he was transforming, seemed to notice and frantically shouted to Momo. "AAAAAAH!! Here it comes, Ayase-san!! HURRY IT UUUUAAAAAAAARRRRGHHH!!" Just when the alien seemed like it had them in its clutches, a white haired savior jumped out of the wreckage holding Momo.
There were multiple cheers from the teens around the room. "Holy shit- that was nerve wracking!" Kei said as she shook Miko. "I know right?!"
The girl in the first row looked in awe of the sudden appearance of the new figure... he looked hot.
A close up of the transformed version of Okarun was shown as they landed. "WHOA THIS IS INSANE...!! MY POWER'S OVERFLOWING...!!" It then showed him hunched over with a solemn look on his face. "But I'm hella depressed."
"WHOA!! HIS PERSONALITY DID A 180!!" Momo shouted.
Jiji snorted in amusement while the pink haired girl looked at the screen in confusion. The girl in the first looked at the screen with blush on her face. 'Omg- he looks so hot! ASHSHGDJH!!'
"My mind's clear as anythin'... but my soul's crushed..."
"The hell's up with your speaking style?!"
"Whoops, my bad. I'm an awkward guy, y'know-"
Momo blushed at his words and started shaking him around. "I TOLD YOU NOT TO FRIGGIN' SAY THAT!!"
Okarun however showed no reaction to the action. "Damn... wish I could just disappear or somethin'..."
"AND QUIT TALKING LIKE THAT!! IT PISSES ME OFF!!"
"Why does he talk like that? Is it a side effect of using that turbo granny's powers?" Kei asked.
Momo shrugged but looked up to the fifth row to see if the spirit in question would have an answer. However, the only answer she got was a glare directed her way so she just looked back to the screen.
Okarun bowed his head as he walked away. "'Kay I'll be back. Not like I'll be much use, though." Momo's eyes widened as she looked behind him. "Up ahead, stupid!! Ahead!!"
"Whuh?" Okarun looked at her in confusion, not aware of the giant hands coming his way intending to crush him.
The screen shifted to show the alien slamming his hands together, trapping Okarun between them.
Momo gasped in the audience and on screen as she looked at what happened to Okarun. She admonished herself for not being able to help him, she shouldn't have to fully rely on his abilities with the curse. She had powers herself now so she should have been able to help.
Her friend's seemed to sense her distress and directed her gaze to the screen again so that she could see the next scene.
Or that would have been the case if the next scene didn't show the mutilation of one of the alien's hands, all five of the fingers were gone. It showed one of the fingers at Okarun's feet from his spot on the ground. "Damn, my body moved on its own... so this is the turbo granny's power, huh?" Okarun was then seen with one of the fingers in between the teeth of the mask-like covering on his face. "That took a lot outta me."
Like many people in the audience, Momo yelled in shock at this development. "He's fast!! When'd he do that?!" Okarun released the finger and it fell to the floor. His back was shown as he looked up at the huge alien.
"Wow!! We might have a chance now!!"
However it seemed like Momo spoke too soon because Okarun was then seen coughing up whatever he had eaten the day before. Momo looked at him worriedly, "HUH?! Hey what's up with you?!"
Okarun lifted his shaking hand.
The pink haired girl looked at the screen in distress, she might not know this boy that well but she was still worried for him. It seemed like he couldn't put too much strain on himself while in that form or else he'd suffer the consequences. Her seat partner felt the same as her from the look on his face. She moved closer, as close as she could with the arm rest separating them, and whispered in his ear. "He'll be fine. From what we've seen, I don't think that he would just go out like that."
The boy looked at her in surprise before smiling. "I agree, he'll be okay. I hope..." He mumbled the last part and squeezed his seat partner's hand.
Seiko looked forward with a frown on her face, she wondered where she was in this moment. And what time it was so that she could know how long it would take her to get there and help.
Turbo granny scoffed, if this was all that the boy could do with her powers then he's a lost cause.
The alien knocked Okarun into one of the already destroyed buildings with one of its sumo wrestling moves. "Okarun!!" Momo shouted in worry. The alien was getting ready to flatten the area completely with another move. "Crap!!"
Momo quickly used her powers to feel around for Okarun and pulled him away before the alien's attack could land. "You okay, Okarun?!"
Jiji sighed in relief. He was glad that the boy was okay.
"I'm sorry, Ayase-san!!" The boy coughed. "My body couldn't keep up with the curse's power!!" He slowly picked himself up. "My body felt like it was going to rip itself to shreds... humans aren't supposed to move that fast!!"
The screen showed the alien in the background as he continued to speak.
"Geez, that alien really creeps me out." Miko said as she shuddered. "Do all aliens look weird like that? First those sopeians or whatever and now this one." Kei asked.
"But the only damage I dealt to him was five of his fingers... HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BEAT HIM LIKE THAT?!"
"HELL IF I KNOW!! DON'T SNAP AT ME!!" Momo shouted in response. "If I knew how to beat him, I wouldn't be struggling this much...!!" Her eyes widened in realization as she looked at the alien. "Wait! That guys, like, a sumo wrestler, right?"
"Come again?!"
"If we make his hand hit the ground... we win, right?"
The pink haired girl's eyes widened in realization. "You're using the fact that the alien is taking on the persona of a sumo wrestler against it?" Momo nodded with a smile. "Yup! I dunno if it's gonna work but I'll trust my future self's intuition."
Okarun looked up at Momo with determination clear on his face. "Ayase-san... you're a genius."
Momo gave him a thumbs up as she spoke. "Thanks, I know."
"Real humble girl." Miko bumped her shoulder into Momo's in a playful manner. Momo rolled her eyes.
"I only have one shot left!" The boy told her.
"So you can only use the power twice.." The girl in the first row speculated. "That makes sense, he did say before that his body couldn't keep up with the curse's power. Him having a limit to how much he could use it seems to be the only drawback of his powers." The chubby boy in the same row said. Okarun listened to both of their inputs while wondering just how much he could do with the powers.
Momo stood behind him as his stable transformation came back again. "Aim for the legs, Okarun!"
"RRRGH... Not in the mood..." He grumbled.
"I'll knock 'im down with my powers!" She followed after Okarun as he ran to make sure that his transformation didn't get out of control. "I've gotta get close to him... so I need you to give me some support!"
"Sheesh, you're killin' me..."
The alien stomped again. "HAND OVER YOUR GENITALS!!" Okarun grabbed Momo's wrist to pull her away from the destruction, he then raced off towards the alien, leaving her behind. He launched himself into the alien's leg, destroying its knee. "HACK!! I'm at my limit!!" Okarun yelled.
"Keep Okarun's curse down with my right hand... and take big boy down with my..." She focused her energy on the alien's hand. "RRRRRRRRRAAAGH!! PAIN IN THE ASS!!" Momo yelled as she swung her hands down.
This caused both Okarun and the alien to be sent to the ground. The alien's hand finally hit the floor and it started to disappear. Momo smiled as she watched. "Alright!! His hand's dissolving!!"
Seiko let a small smile come onto her face for a second before it became serious. They shouldn't be celebrating so early, just cause it's hand is gone doesn't mean the battle is won.
Okarun smiled as his transformation started to come undone. "Right on target!!"
However, the lost arm didn't seem to stop the alien. Two new legs grew from his body to replace the ones that had started to dissolve. Momo's eyes widened in shock. "Get out!"
"Ayase-san, run!" Okarun shouted from his spot on the ground.
The alien grabbed Momo and smashed her into the wall behind the gate. "Ayase-san!!" Okarun yelled in worry. Momo was seen implanted in the wall.
Momo's friends gasped at the sight. "Momo..." Miko held her friend's hand a little tighter than ever before. Seiko's nails dug into her arms as she tried to convince herself that her granddaughter would be fine.
Okarun started transforming without Momo to keep the curse at bay. "Crap!! This ain't looking good!" The alien turned around to look down at him. "G...Gah.." Suddenly the curse went away again, "I'm back to normal!!"
"God... gotta do everything myself..." Momo said weakly, Okarun looked up in surprise. "Hey you sumo alien..." It showed Momo horizontally laying in the crater in the wall. "Your hand hit the ground... you cheeky fucker..."
"...Ayase-san!!" Okarun waved his hands to get her attention. "Release the curse again!! I don't care what will happen to my body!!"
Momo frowned. This boy really had issues with his self esteem.
Momo groaned. "No, I'm gonna kick his ass!! You just sit back 'n' watch, Okarun!! I ain't boutta let this hack off the hook!!" Okarun looked at her in worry, "What are you saying?!"
It showed a close up of Momo. "You really pissed me off... you little green bitch." The alien then punched her into the wall again.
"STOOOOP!!" Okarun yelled.
"Ain't gonna work on meee!!" Momo said as blood came out of her mouth. The alien continued punching her into the wall. Okarun grabbed his head in frustration. "Release my curse, please!! Come on, Ayase-san!! Any more and you'll die!!"
Momo was seen with her hands out while she looked a mess from the constant barrage of punches from the alien. "Nah... I'm good. This is deep enough." The crater that Momo was in had gotten bigger thanks to those same punches. "We'll be outside the archway!!" She used her psychic powers to pull him up with her, the alien barely missed him as he flew by.
She hugged his from behind to make sure that he was completely out of the way, and then placed the seal on the gate. The alien started burning almost immediately, just like a curse would.
"Hell yeah!" "Good job guys!" "Good thinking Momo!"
Momo sighed in relief, all this action had her on the edge of her seat. She couldn't imagine what it must be like for her one screen self to experience that. Seiko allowed herself to smile once more now that there was no more trouble.
Both teens looked on in shock as the alien finally crumbled away. Momo raised her head and saw that everything that had previously been destroyed, was now perfectly fine.
Many people looked at the screen in shock. "How come everything's fine now?" The guy with the buzz cut asked. Seiko was the one to answer him, "It doesn't happen often but sometimes spirits are able to pull you into a different world, a world parallel to the one we all exist in. And whatever happens in that world does not affect the one we live in normally."
"We're back..." Momo said as she still hugged Okarun. "We're safe... Look, Okarun!! We're back!!" She said in delight.
"Uh...okay..." The boy was currently pushed up against her chest, one could tell that he was embarrassed by the blush on his face. Momo moved away from him and started rolling around. "AAAAAAH!! I thought we were gonna die for real!!"
"Ah!! Ayase-san, the curse!!" Okarun shouted as he started transforming. Momo quickly sat up and used her powers to control the curse again. "God, quit bugging me!! Can't I have a few seconds to let it sink in?!"
"I can't help it, alright?!" He shouted in indignation.
Momo looked at him in confusion. "Huh? Did you change your hairstyle?"
"Of course not!!"
"Lookin' pretty sharp!" She smiled while he rubbed the back of his head. "I liked the granny perm better, though."
"Quit making fun of me!!"
"I kinda like his new hairstyle. It's definitely better than the bowl cut he has now." The pink haired girl whispered to her seat partner. Jiji looked to the first row before speaking. "I dunno, he kinda rocks the bowl cut."
The pink haired girl shrugged. "I just like the wavy style- kinda wish he had it now so I could see it in person."
"Whoa!" The girl in the first row yelled as she looked at her seat partner. Her shout had gained almost everyone's attention. Okarun looked at her in confusion. "What's wrong, class prez?" The girl seemed like she was inspecting him. "Your hair changed, so now it looks like the one on the screen."
Okarun's eyes widened. "Really?!" The pink haired girl blinked a couple times before looking at her seat partner, "Did I do that?" Jiji shrugged.
Momo continued smiling in a goofy way. "Huh? I feel... Oh. Crap." Okarun watched as she suddenly collapsed, most likely exhausted after such an eventful day. "Huh? Ayase-san?!"
He reached out to her, to make sure that she was okay. "Ayase-san!! Hang in there!!" However, without Momo to keep the curse at bay, he was forced to transform. "Ayase...sa..." The last thing shown was the transformed state of Okarun before the video cut out.
The child appeared on the screen again. "That was the first two chapters, feel free to take a short break before we continue onto the next one since you won't be getting another break until the twentieth chapter."
Notes:
I was gonna originally describe all of the images that pop up in the opening but I didn't want to stress myself out so I chose to forgo it.
Also, I forgot how Jiji addresses Seiko so I just had him use more formal language.

Chapter Text
Many people were stunned by the end of the previous showing. "What the hell? It just ended like that?!" Miko yelled. She wanted to know what was gonna happen. Was Momo gonna be okay? It seemed that Kei had the same concerns, it was obvious because of the troubled look on her face.
"I understand that there is some tension in the room due to the end of the previous footage. While I cannot assure you that everything will be alright, I can say that you'll learn all you need to in due time."
"Speakin' of time..." Seiko spoke up, having got up out of her seat and walked to the front, with her arms crossed. "I need to talk to you, one on one." She narrowed her eyes at the child on the screen.
"...Very well, Lady Seiko. I will arrange an area where we can talk in private, if that is what you wish."
Seiko nodded but continued standing by the front. Everyone else mostly decided to get up and walk around. Momo stayed sitting in her seat as she thought to herself. She was soon brought out of her thoughts by a poke to her cheek. "Yo, Mo-chan!!" Kei said as she used Momo's head as an armrest, "Do you wanna come check out the others with us?"
Momo blinked up at her friend in confusion before remembering that they were free to do as they pleased for right now. "Sure." She stood up and shook her limbs around to get rid of the tension. "Where's Miko?" Kei pointed over to the first row where all of the other teens were talking.
"I dunno, I think it looks nice like this." The pink haired girl said as she played with a strand of Okarun's hair. He blushed, "Really?" He had never had a girl be so close to him before- well he's never had a girl willingly talk to him before unless they needed something- so he wasn't sure how to act. "I've never really styled my hair before so I wouldn't know what looks good and what doesn't..."
The pink haired girl offered him a kind smile as she thought to herself. 'He doesn't look that much like a nerd now. Aren't I just so amazing for gifting him this wonderful haircut.' She praised herself in her head, and didn't notice the looks she was getting from Jiji and the other girl with glasses. The guy with a buzz cut frowned. "I dunno if this is such a good thing." They all looked at him in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Jiji asked.
The guy shrugged, "This all just seems weird. We know nothing about each other or this kid that's showing us the future, but we're just supposed to go along with it. Doesn't this all seem too good to be true?"
The other chubby boy with the glasses decided to speak up. "I understand what you mean. If we're experiencing something so amazing like looking into the future... shouldn't there be some equal exchange?" That seemed to dampen the mood a lot as the teens thought about their situation. Would they have to offer something really valuable in exchange for learning about the future?
"Wait, but that isn't far! We never got to choose whether or not we wanted to do this, so why should we have to pay the penalty or whatever?" Miko said as she crossed her arms.
"We dunno how this works so we can't just assume that things'll happen one way or another without evidence." The guy with the buzz cut said.
In another area Seiko sat across from the child. After a few seconds of silence the child sighed, "What do you wish to ask me, Lady Seiko?" Seiko scrutinized them. "You didn't answer my question before... what was your price for showing us this?"
"..." The child had a blank face as they looked at the much older woman.
Seiko put her elbow on the armrest of the chair and lowered her chin onto her hand. "Don't try avoiding the question' now. We both know that sooner or later it'll catch up to you anyways."
The child bit their lip and looked to the side. "I just... it's too much for you all to handle." They looked up at Seiko with a troubled expression. "I don't want anymore people getting hurt on my watch." Seiko stared at the kid for a few seconds before resting her hand on the younger's head, "That won't happen. I may not know everyone in that room over there," She pointed to the door where the rest of the audience still were. "But I can already tell that they're much stronger than you give them credit for."
If Seiko noticed the quiet sniffles that came from the kid, she said nothing of it. "I see, thank you Lady Seiko." The white haired woman rolled her eyes and spoke with a bit of annoyance in her voice. "Stop with all the lady stuff kid, I appreciate the respect but it's kinda getting a little old." The child snorted and raised a hand to cover up their smile. "Of course, Ms. Seiko."
"Not that either!"
Back in the main room the kids were mostly just sitting around, trying to get to know each other. At some point Momo and Kei came over and sat with the others. "We should play a game!" The chubby boy with the glasses spoke up.
Miko raised an eyebrow. "What kinda game?"
"Since we have no idea how long we'll be here, we should get to know each other. And what better way to do that than with an icebreaker!" He said in response. Most of the other teens nodded along with his logic. Momo then spoke up. "So what? We gonna play truth or dare or something?" She asked with her arms crossed.
"Ehhh not really, I was thinking-"
"Oh I know!" The pink haired girl cut him off. "We should play never have I ever!"
Jiji nodded with a smile. "Good idea! C'mon let's start!"
"Oof!" The pink haired girl was dragged over to the corner of the room and sat down. Jiji sat next to her and motioned for everyone else to join him. They all looked a bit unsure but the guy a buzz cut walked over first, breaking the tension, followed by Momo. The brown haired girl looked back at her friends, "C'mon let's do this."
Miko looked at Kei with a smile and got one in return. They both sat next to Momo, Miko was leaning on her while Kei reached around to play with her hair. The three teens with glasses followed shortly after them and sat down next to each other with their backs facing the seats of the theater-like room.
"Wait! What about her?" Kei said as she pointed to the blond girl still seated in the fourth row, she was just staring down at the rest of the teens with an unreadable expression on her face. "Is she gonna be included or..."
The pink haired girl stood up abruptly and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll bring her over." She quickly walked over to the other girl and started talking to her. The other teens watched as the two spoke, the pink haired girl gesturing to them with her hands. Eventually the blond haired girl nodded and followed after the other as they walked back. "Got her! But, I don't think she knows how to speak Japanese."
"What do you mean?" Takakura asked.
"When I tried talking to her, she would answer in some other language."
Momo sighed. "Whatever, let's just play before my grandma gets back." The pink haired girl looked at her with judgement written all over her face. "I just have to ask, why do you call that woman your grandma? Is it some kind of inside joke?" Momo looked at her with a tired expression, "No. She looks young but she's actually-"
"ACHOO!" The blond haired girl sneezed. She shied away from the stares of everyone else. "Anyway, who's gonna start?" Miko asked while leaning her head on Momo's shoulder.
"I will!" Jiji raised his hand with a grin. "Never have I ever... peed myself." The girl next to him raised a brow, "What do you mean? Cuz everyone has pissed themselves as a baby before."
"Elementary and above, obviously." Jiji said while looking over at Momo. The brown haired girl scowled at him. "It happened one time and you still won't let it go." She grumbled as she lowered one of her fingers. Jiji smirked while looking around the circle of teens, "Anyone else?"
The chubby boy with glasses put down a finger while hiding his face. "I do not want to talk about it..." The girl with blonde hair looked around in confusion while Kei shrugged and put a finger down. "I drank too much water before going on a trip and they couldn't exactly stop the bus on the highway." She had just finished a mini braid in Momo's hair, it had pink ribbon weaved in.
Jiji sighed dramatically. "That's it? I for sure thought that I would get at least half of y'all."
"Okay, me next." The pink haired girl said. "Never have I ever, skipped class." That got five of the kids to lower their fingers.
The pink haired girl smirked at Jiji, whose mouth had fallen open in shock. She looked back at the others with a curious look on her face. "So what's the story there?"
Momo shrugged and leaned back on her hands. "I was just bored and didn't wanna listen to some boring lecture. I try not to make a habit out of skippin' though." Miko nodded in agreement while Kei sighed. "I don't have any free periods -and don't say lunch cause that doesn't count- so I just cut from time to time. My grades haven't tanked yet so I think I'm still in the clear."
The pink haired girl nodded at their explanations before looking over to the two others that put a finger down. Takakura adjusted his glasses and looked away. "I don't do it often, just when a new addition of Supernatural Etiquette(made up series) comes out and I can't wait until later to read it."
Jiji looked at him with a wicked smile, "Don't think I forgot about our convo earlier." Okarun looked at him with a nervous expression, "What do you mean?" Jiji just kept the smile on his face, though a little softer now, as he spoke. "You still gotta tell me about those aliens, especially since we for sure know they're real now. I wanna know all about it!" Okarun looked stunned for a second before smiling at him, "Yeah okay!"
"I'm next right?" Momo asked. Jiji nodded before the pink haired girl spoke up, "Wait, he hasn't explained himself yet." She said as she looked at the guy with the buzz cut. He looked up in confusion. Momo sighed while giving him her attention.
"It's nothing interesting, really." He waved off the unasked question in the pink haired girl's eyes. She pouted at his words and was about to speak before she was interrupted. "Okay, cool. I'm gonna say my thing now." Momo ignored the unimpressed look she got from the pink haired girl. "Never have I ever-"
"WE'RE BACK!" Seiko said calmly as she walked back into the room, the child was walking next to her. Momo snapped her head over with an annoyed look on her face. "Foreal?! I didn't even get to say my thing yet!"
The child clapped their hands together with a smile on their face. "Your break time is now over! Please move back to your seats so that we can continue the viewing." There were a couple of groans but they all got up and sat in the seats in the theater. "Oh! Before I forget- please feel free to ask for any accommodations that you want to be made to better your viewing experience. Ask for Vulcan specifically.” After speaking the child walked over to the screen and entered a door in the bottom left.
After minutes later the screen lit up again, showing the child. “Another thing before we continue- sorry, I know I said that you would continue viewing- in case you were not listening before, you will not have another break until the 20th viewing. It is currently the 3rd viewing. Bathroom breaks are allowed but the video will not stop at all. Now enjoy the following show.” The screen faded to black before lighting back up to show the outside of a tv station.
It cut over to a strange looking person with a mask and cloak. They had their hands hovering close to a crystal ball as they spoke. “Your age… is twenty-seven.”
A young looking man spoke in response with a smile on his face. “I’m twenty.”
Momo’s eyes widened in realization, she looked back at her grandma. “Is this from one of your guest appearances?” Seiko shook her head, “Not from any that I remember. This is most likely one that happens in the future.”
”Makes sense.”
It showed the tv crew’s perspective as they watched the interaction, there was silence for a few seconds before it showed the mysterious person again.
”You like curry.”
”I like ramen.” The man responded.
”You have a wife and kids.”
”I’m single.”
”Great work today.” One of the workers said as the mysterious person passed by. They had finished recording and allowed the guest stars to leave.
”Sheesh, that Dodoma Santa sure is crazy…” One of the workers said.
”It was almost satisfying seeing her miss all those shots.” Another responded. They continued to speak as they camera shifted over to show some other workers bowing the the male guest star as he just waved them off. “There’s no way an idol as young as him could have a family.”
”Yeah, even I know that.”
”You sure it’s alright to air the segment as is?”
”It’s fine. Nobody’d get outraged at a local show like this one.”
”Dodoria Santa…” Takakura rubbed his chin as he thought to himself. His seatmate had heard him and turned to look at him, “Do you recognize that name?”
He looked up at his class president and shook his head. “Not really. I might have heard it in passing but I don’t remember that well.”
The scene cut to the inside of a taxi as the driver spoke, looking in the front mirror occasionally. “You’re Dodoria Santa, aren’t you, miss? I saw you on TV the other day. Do you really have psychic powers?”
"Yo Momo," Miko Whispered into Momo's ear, causing the girl to look over. "What type of powers does your grandma have?" Momo shrugged, "I've never actually seen her use her powers myself." Miko sighed in disappointment before looking at the screen again.
"Let me out of here." The psychic said as they turned toward the door of the car.
"Uh, hang on... I'm not trying to be rude or anything... I Just wanted you to show me..." The taxi driver said, thinking that he somehow offended the psychic.
The car slowly came to a stop and Dodoria got out of the car. "If you don't wanna die, get lost." This was the last thing that was shown before the scene moved back over to the situation at the Ayase residence.
A possessed Okarun stood before an unconscious Momo. He slowly moved towards her before stopping in front of her body, dropping down. His hand moved along her leg, feeling her smooth skin while the other hand pulled her skirt up. He lifted up her leg and his mouth, wide and deformed due to the possession, slowly drifted down to her crotch.
However, just before he was able to take a bite, a brick with a circle drawn on it flew toward him. Shortly after a nail embedded itself in the middle of the circle. As soon as both objects came close to him, he was set on fire, much like when he tried to walk through the gate while the seal was still up.
Momo let out a breath that she didn't even know she was holding. Being put in so many compromising situations was really affecting her mental state. She thought back to the child's words from before "None of that same intensity as far as I'm aware, at least until the 50s with the bath house." Yeah right. What a load of horse shit. This was just as bad as the aliens! Next time she sees that kid she'll give them a piece of her mind.
The possessed boy was flung back from the impact, causing him to land in the pond.
"Well, well. And here I thought she'd brought home another shitty man..."
He climbed out of water, drenched from head to toe.
"But you ain't human. Honestly, my grandkid gives me nothin' but trouble. All the stress dries out my skin." The camera slowly panned to the one speaking. "C'mon. Bring it." Seiko said while making a come at me gesture with her hand. The possessed boy looked at her for a second before disappearing from his spot next to the pond.
The woman stood still with her bat sitting on her shoulder, seemingly not registering the movement. The boy quickly appeared behind her and jumped up, trying to take a bite out of her from behind. However, he didn't get far because like before he had started burning.
"Woah- what the hell?!" Miko exclaimed in surprise. She hadn't expected the boy to suddenly burn. Psychics were kinda cool now that she's seeing them in action.
The woman turned around with a surprised expression on her face. "WOAH!!" The boy was flung back once more. "Hot damn!! That was too close for comfort!! That was predictable, though."
Turbo granny was surprised at the statement. Her? Predictable??
"I knew you'd try to hit my blind spot." The psychic took a huff of her cigarette before speaking again. "You fell right into my trap. Hook, line, and sinker." Turbo granny was seen standing in a circle on the ground.
Jiji's eyes widened and he looked back at the woman in the fifth row. "When did you have time to set that up?" Seiko looked at him and shrugged. "I dunno. It was probably when Turbo granny was focused on Momo."
Meanwhile Takakura was praying that Momo's grandma would be able to stop him turbo granny from harming the girl. He was such a liability. If only he was able to stop Turbo granny from taking over his body himself, then Momo wouldn't be in this mess.
Turbo granny tried to move out of the circle but she immediately started burning. "Step outside that line and you're as good as dead." The psychic said as turbo granny tried putting out the fire still lingering on her body.
The psychic held her bat infront of her, the top of it opened up to allow a pencil tip to come out. "'Cause that's a barrier." The camera zoomed in on the circles surrounding both her and turbo granny, hinting to the viewers that she was the one that drew them on the floor.
Just then the scene changed to show a cartoon-ish depiction of turbo granny inside of the circle with a nail planted outside of it. "If I drive one of them "charm nails" outside the circle.. the whole area becomes a barrier." The visual then changed to depict a chibi version of the woman inside the circle with one of the nails planted inside the circle. "On the other hand, if I drive it inside a circle... the inside of the circle becomes a barrier."
The woman twisted her bat around as she continued to speak. "The reason why you couldn't touch me back there... was 'cause I was protected by my own barrier."
Kei turned around to look at the psychic in the fifth row. "Has there ever been a time where the barrier didn't work?" Seiko shook her head. "Nope. Spirits can't get rid of it themselves so there's no chance of them doing anything. If a barrier comes undone then it would've been by my hand or someone else outside the barrier."
She walked up the barrier separating her and turbo granny, showing no fear of the old spirit. The camera shifted to the front of turbo granny's face as she spoke, "I'll eat you alive!! Don't think you can hold me in here forever!!"
Miko cringed as she looked at the screen. "That close-up was not necessary!"
"Oh, I don't wanna hold you in there. I wanna kill you..." The woman responded. She raised her bat and swung it into the spirit's jaw. "LIKE THIS!!"
"GYAAAA!!"
"Wait- what about Takakura/Okarun?!" Momo and Jiji said at the same time. They were both turned around looking at Seiko. "If you kill turbo granny then you could kill Okarun as well since shes using his body." Momo said worryingly.
Seiko sighed and crossed her arms, "Nothing I can do about it. The me up there has no idea that Takakura is in there so I can't say for sure what'll happen."
All the teens began to grow nervous at her words, especially Takakura.
Turbo granny was pushed into the barrier by the force of the blow, causing her to burn up. "C'mon!! Stand your ground!!" The woman smacked the spirit again with her bat.
"GUAAAARGH-"
"You're steppin' outside the line!!" She smacked Turbo granny again before stepping back. "What's the matter? Can't use that speed ya love to boast about, eh?"
"You shitty old hag!!"
A close-up of the woman was shown again, this time she was shown pulling out one of her charm nails from inside her coat. "A wrinkled old bat callin' me a hag? That's rich."
Kei turned around again. "Are you always stocked up on nails?"
"Yup." Seiko said as she opened her coat to show the charm nails she had on her person.
"So cool!" Kei said with a smile on her face.
"'Round here I'm known for lookin' pretty young for my age."
"If you burn me, the man I cursed will die, too."
The woman's face grew serious. "I'll kill any dirt-bag that tries to seduce my granddaughter. Humans included." She dropped the nail she was holding onto the ground. "So long."
"YOU HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG!!"
Momo opened her eyes and sat up quickly.
"What?! We don't get to see what happened?" Momo asked. Miko rubbed her shoulder as she tried to reassure her. "They'll probably show it later or something. Just to be dramatic."
Takakura let out a sigh of relief. He was glad that Momo was able to recover.
".....Okarun...?"
Miko smirked and squeezed Momo's shoulder. "Look at you, worrying about your boyfriend the second you wake up." She said in a teasing manner. Momo grunted and pushed her away. "He's not my boyfriend."
"Maybe not yet but he could be." Kei joined in.
Momo tried to ignore their words as she continued watching.
She was quick to get out of bed and rush down the stairs. "OKARUN!!" She paused as she saw the white-haired woman from before laying down while watching television.
"Wait, you're home?!"
The woman rested her head in her hand. "Shaddup. I'm watchin' Bakatono right now."
"I've got something more important to tell you!"
"You went to a spirit spot, didn't you?"
Momo stilled, surprised at the fact that the woman guessed correctly. "...Yeah. Well, not me. A friend."
"Why?"
"Why...? We were talking, and it, uh... just kinda came up..."
Momo ignored the raised unimpressed looks sent her way.
"Anyways, did you see a guy around here? I've gotta be near him, or else he'll be in trouble!" Momo said with conviction. However, the woman wasn't listening, "EHHEHHEH! Bakatono sure is a national treasure.
”Hey!!! Are you even listening?!” She yelled indignantly.
”If y’mean the ghost, I killed it.”
Momo’s eyes widened in horror- shock- she wasn’t sure at the moment. “Wha?! What kinda ghost was it?! It didn’t have glasses did it?!”
Momo desperately wanted to believe that the boy was okay but she was finding it very difficult at the moment.
Turbo granny rolled her eyes. As if she left herself fall to that damn medium.
”Well, well, I thought you didn’t believe in ghosts.” The woman took a drag of her cigarette. “And ‘sides… I’m just a phony-baloney spirit medium.”
Momo looked away and crossed her arms. She wished that she hadn’t said that when she was younger, but there’s no changing the past.
”When are you gonna let go of that, you old bat?! Something bad might’ve happened! Just gimme an answer!”
”Oh, quit it. Don’t believe that stuff. Ghosts aren’t real, and I’m just a pretender.”
Momo furrowed her brows and tightened her fist. The woman, believing that to be the end of the conversation, turned her head in surprise once Momo spoke again.
”Grandma…I’m sorry. I was wrong.” Momo bowed deeply, expressing her remorse. “So please tell me… What happened to the ghost?”
Momo’s grandma put out her cigarette and spoke without looking back. “Go check the shrine.”
”You shitty old hag!” Momo yelled as she ran away. “If anything happened to Okarun, it’s on you!!”
”She actually cares about me…” Takakura mumbled.
The girl next to him looked over. “Well of course she does, why else do you think she went through the trouble of helping you out?”
Takakura looked away in embarrassment. “I don’t know… I guess I’m still not used to people actually caring about me.”
”I didn’t want to let that change slip.” Momo remembered Okarun saying those words before and ran even harder.
He’s just a guy who likes the occult…and wanted a friend! It’s my fault! I forced him to go there! I’m sorry, Okarun!”
Takakura’s eyes widened. That’s not true, they both agreed to that dumb challenge. If anything then they’re both responsible. He doesn’t blame her at all.
She pulled the doors of the shrine open. “OKARUN!!” The boy in question looked toward the new open doors of the shrine, he was eating a triangular rice ball.
Momo felt the surrounding world fade away as she looked at the boy. He was okay. He didn’t die because of her foolishness. She was so glad.
She was brought back to reality by his sudden yelling. “Ayase-san!! Thank god!!” He cried with rice in his mouth. “Nothing happened to you!! I thought I’d killed you for sure!!”
Momo suddenly slammed the doors closed.
”Huh?! Hey, Ayase-san?!” The boy shouted in confusion.
The girl looked down, still trying to process this information.
”Ayase-san?!”
”I see you’re still alive, four-eyes!!” She suddenly yelled while kicking the door.”
”WHAAAT?! What was that for?!” He yelled indignantly. “EXCUUSE ME FOR BEING ALIVE!!”
Momo pushed her hair back from her face and rubbed the back of her neck. “AAAH, you’re driving me nuts…” A faint blush coated her face.
”Oooo~” Miko and Kei said in unison. Momo had to push them away but they still saw how red her face was.
”Since when did ya start bein’ friends with monsters?” The white haired woman said from behind her. Momo turned around in surprise, “Wh-hey!! You startled me!!”
“‘Slong as he’s in there, the curse won’t work.” The woman said. “But one foot outta this shrine and he’ll turn back into a monster.”
Momo looked away with a frown on her face. “Why’d you tell me you killed him?! You liar!”
The pink haired girl could agree with her frustration. Hearing that the boy had died made her feel ill.
”You were so desperate back there. Y’like boys like him?” The woman asked nonchalantly.
”No way!!” Momo yelled.
”Can’t he hear you guys since you’re right outside the shrine?” The boy with a buzz cut asked.
”I dunno. Probably.” Momo shrugged.
Takakura felt pretty weird knowing that they were speaking about him but he wasn’t able to be in the conversation.
”The turbo granny said she took his thingy…”
There was a snort from someone in the audience.
”And as long as she has it, the curse won’t leave him.” Momo looked down with a troubled expression. “I’m responsible for it, too. I just wanna do something to help him.”
”Oho, I see. So you like him.” The woman said while taking a huff of her cigarette.
”I dunno, Mo-chan. Your grandma might be onto somethin’.” Miko said while she played with her friend’s hair.
”THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!” Momo suddenly turned to her grandma. “By the way, I can use psychic powers now.”
”The hell’re you talkin’ about?”
Momo looked down at her hand. “I went to this spot where you could encounter UFOs… some stuff happened, and now I can use ‘em.”
The woman looked unimpressed. “There’s no such thing as UFOs.”
”Yeah, yeah. I know where you’re comin’ from. I was the same ‘til yesterday.” Momo sweatdropped. “Anyways, I can use psychic powers now. Seriously! And if I don’t keep Okarun’s curse suppressed, he goes kinda haywire.”
”They sure were effective, weren’t they?” The woman said sarcastically.
”I don’t get what it takes to make you believe.” Momo said tiredly.
Kei poked Momo’s cheek. “I can see how you’re related…” Momo looked at her in confusion as she continued, “you’re both incredibly stubborn and fully put your faith into what you care about.”
”But the turbo granny…” The woman took a drag of her cigarette before speaking again. “You got yourself mixed up with a real piece of work. Way back when, she was called the “100 KM/H Granny”… A modern-day yokai that terrorized all of Japan.”
A picture of what turbo granny showed up on the screen as the spirit medium spoke. The scene then changed to show the front of the tunnel.
”After hearing that recently, the speedy sonuva gun was spending a lot of time inside that tunnel… I went over there to see what she was up to.”
The woman looked down with a tense expression on her face. “It was strange. I couldn’t even get close to the tunnel ‘cause of the strength of the presence I felt there.”
The scene changed to show a bouquet of flowers along with a bunch of snacks as the woman continued to speak. “You know what bound spirits are? They’re spirits that stay in a place they have some sort of strong attachment to.” The image then distorted. “But they’re almost always the strongest being in their territory. No medium would even think of taking a bound spirit head on.”
Kei turned around to address Seiko at the same time Jiji did. “Excuse me, Seiko-san/Momo’s grandma…” They both looked at each other in surprise. Jiji smiled at her, “You can go first.” Kei nodded and faced Seiko again.
”What does it feel like being in the same location as a bound spirit?”
”Oh, I had like the same question!” Jiji said.
Seiko fiddled with her bat as she spoke. “It’s like there’s an oppressive aura pushing you down. You feel it right down to your bones.”
Momo’s eyes widened as her grandma continued to speak. “There was a bound spirit…inside that tunnel. And you know what that means?”
The scene changed again to show a grotesque looking creature that had many hands, eyes, mouths, and noses as the woman stood infront of it.
”The bound spirit…fused with the turbo granny.”
”Oh my gosh! You need a content warning!” The pink haired girl said.
The woman turned to her granddaughter. “Don’t mess with her. I don’t want to lose my precious granddaughter. Besides, you’ve got no direct involvement in it. Forget about him.”
Momo’s eyes widened at her grandmother’s words.
Momo turned around to face her grandma with a torn expression. “How could you say that?”
Seiko’s face gave away none of her emotions as she spoke. “You don’t have to do anything for him. He’s the one that chose to tango with turbo granny.”
”But I’m the one that dragged him into it! I should take responsibility!”
Seiko looked at her granddaughter for a few seconds before sighing. “I’m only just giving you a suggestion. The one who has the power to make the choice is you.” She smirked. “Plus, I know how much you care for him anyway.”
Momo looked away and sat back down. Her friends thankfully didn’t mention her reddened ears as they continued watching.
“Just go back to your regular life.”
Momo looked at the door separating her and the boy that almost died for her.
”I wonder what my precious Ken-san… would do at a time like this…that’s what I always think whenever I don’t know what to do…and I’ve never regretted it.”
Momo turned toward her grandma with a determined face. “So…if it was Ken-san… He’s definitely help him. And I’m gonna do the same.”
The woman look at Momo before making a goofy expression. “Ken-san…so you do like the kid, huh…?!”
”No…AH! NO!! That ain’t the Ken I was talking about!!” Momo said while blushing.
”Sure, girl.” Kei said with a smirk. Momo turned away with a bit of blush on her cheeks.
She looked down at the front row to see what the boy was doing, only to find him staring back at her. He was smiling at her and she couldn’t help but smile back.
The woman walked up to the shrine door and started speaking to the boy on the other side, “Hey, y’hear that? What’cha think?”
Momo grabbed her own hair and started messing with it. “I said no, dammit!! I meant the actor!!”
”Well whatever. If you insist…you gotta play tag with the turbo granny.”
”Huh?!”
Kei looked at the screen in disbelief. “So you’re telling me the way to defeat this super strong yokai…is to play a children’s game with her?”
”I’m sure it’s not just that…probably.” Miko said in response. In reality she wasn’t super sure since everything else so far has surpassed her expectations.
”She puts all her confidence in her legs. If you can get a rise outta her, she’ll follow you. But that’s where things get tricky.”
Turbo granny rolled her eyes, as if she would be tricked by some snotty brats.
“You two’re gonna have to run ‘til you drop dead. The bound spirit’s territory is within Shounou city. You need to lead Turbo granny outside the city limits. Without getting caught, of course. If you can draw the turbo granny out of the bound spirit’s territory…she’ll be weakened. And even you two’ll be able to beat her in that state.”
Momo waved her off. “Nope. No can do. Look at how weak my legs are! There ain’t no way I could take on the turbo granny in a game of tag!” She then pointed at the talisman on the shrine. “Rather than do that…can’t we just use the charm or something? Like, put it in the tunnel?”
The woman shook her head. “That won’t work. I can’t help you out in the first place.”
”Huh?! Whaddaya mean?!” Momo yelled in shock.
The woman began to explain how her powers worked. “My barrier powers’re just from the power of the god that lives in this area. If I leave this here city of Kamikoshi, I can’t use ‘em anymore.”
”Wait, so you’re pretty much stuck in Kamikoshi?”
”No. I can go other places and use my powers if I give the gods of those areas offerings, but not every god will accept them.” Seiko responded.
”So we have our own territory, too.” Momo stated.
”Every area has its own god. The problem boils down to whether you’re the home team or the away team. Anyhow, that’s the only way to beat the turbo granny. If you start training your body now, you oughta be strong enough to outrun her.”
”You can’t be serious.” Momo looked at her grandma skeptically. “Even if I gave it all I’ve got, I wouldn’t even make it to the prefectural track championships!”
The woman huffed. “I’m not talkin’ ‘bout you.” She pulled open the shrine door. “I’m talkin’ ‘bout him.” Okarun stood straight-faced.
”Oh, yeah!” Momo exclaimed.
”That makes sense, we’ve seen how fast he is before.” The pink haired girl said as she thought back to the transformation that the boy underwent last episode.
The girl in the front row was also thinking about the transformation…but with slightly different thoughts.
”I can finally join the conversation…” Okarun said.
Momo rubbed the back of her head. “My bad, I forgot!” She then turned to her grandma. “But Okarun’s got no stamina.”
”Seriously. None.” He agreed.
”And I gotta keep his curse under control.”
”Then run with Momo on your back.” The woman suggested.
Okarun turned to Momo. “How much do you weigh, Ayase-san?”
”You got a death wish?”
”Nope, it’s not possible!” Okarun said as he faced Momo’s grandma. “In my cursed state, I can only use all my power two times!”
Turbo looked down at the boy in the first row. “You have my powers and that’s all you can do? So damn disappointing.” She looked away with her arms crossed.
Takakura bit his lip. She was right, even with her powers he could barely do anything to help Momo. Hopefully he ends up getting stronger so he’ll be a little more useful.
”Can confirm.” Momo said.
”Then you’ve gotta train yourself to be at max output all the time.” The woman responded. “We’ll start you on five sets of 100 pushups, sit-ups, rows, and squats?!”
”WHAT?!”
”Now.” She then turned toward her granddaughter. “And you, Momo…you’ve gotta work your psychic powers. Make them stronger than they are now. Since I can’t help you two out directly…you two’ve got no choice but to get stronger yourselves. That’s why I’m gonna work you to the bone.”
She turned away and started to walk off. “Get some rest for now. We’ll start tomorrow. Four-eyes, you start strength training right away.”
”Y-yes, Ma’am…” Okarun turned to Momo. “Your grandmother’s pretty young.”
”Speaking of, why does your grandma look so young, Momo?” Kei asked.
Momo rolled her eyes. “I dunno. She’s looked that way since I was young.”
”I don’t wanna hear it.”
Okarun turned his gaze downward. “Ayase-san…I’m sorry.”
Momo turned to him in confusion as he continued speaking. “When we fought that big thing…I was so frantic, I could only think about myself. I’m sorry.”
”It’s fine. Not like you had any choice.”
”But you were different, Ayase-san. You helped me, and you took down the monster.” He fiddled with his glasses. “But the next time something like that happens…I’ll give it everything I have to be able to help you.”
He gripped his shirt tightly and squeezed his eyes shut. “I don’t want you to become disillusioned with me! Please…don’t stop being my friend!”
”Awww! Look at that, a confession of love.” Miko teased. Momo sighed, “He doesn’t love me, we’re just friends!”
”I’m not disillusioned, though. You’re thinking about it too much.” Momo retorted.
”Then why did you just slam the door on me?!”
”Uh…” Momo looked away and scratched her head. “Well, y’see…”
”There, I told you so!! I knew you were disillusioned with me!!”
Momo turned to him in frustration. “I told you, you got the wrong idea!! See, now I am “disillusioned”. You really know how to piss me off.”
”Sorry…” The boy looked down.
”You were pretty cool when you were fighting out there.” Momo said, causing the boy to look up in surprise. “Though you’re still kind of a spaz. I know I’ll wind up savin’ you again next time.” She turned around and started to walk off. “Now get some sleep. I’ll go get you a futon.”
”Ayase-san!!” Momo turned back to see what he wanted to say. “Um…uh…I..I’m thirsty. Could I have something to drink?” He looked like he wanted to say something different but chickened out at the last second.
The scene changed to show Momo grabbing a container of liquid. “Can I bring him this barley tea?” She asked her grandma.
”Go ‘head.” The woman said as she smacked on a tangerine.
”WE HAVE BREAKING NEWS TONIGHT!” A reporter said on the television. “It’s been confirmed that the popular idol Shouma-san, age 20…has a secret love child!”
The man from the very beginning was shown to be very nervous as he answered questions, unfortunately his voice could not be heard. The reporter continued speaking, “He also stated that his real age is not 20…but 27! Furthermore…he and his partner are not legally…”
The white haired woman sucked her teeth. “Tell ‘em you like curry instead of ramen while you’re at it!” She yelled at the tv.
”I couldn’t care less about that celeb stuff.” Momo says as she walked past.
”Woah, so she could really tell all that stuff by looking at a crystal ball?” Kei wondered.

Summary:
Time for a training montage- or not
Turbo granny doesn’t give them the time to get ready so they take the fight to her
Notes:
Sorry for disappearing guys, I do have an excuse for it though. I tried multiple times to edit the chapters that I already posted but each time ao3 would give out on me and I'd just get frustrated cause nothing I was writing saved. So I told myself that I wouldn't write anything until I managed to get a computer, and I did get one due to the money that I managed to make over the summer :) SO now I'll hopefully be able to update more.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The screen opened up to Okarun yelling desperately. “AYASE-SAAAAAAAAAAN!!”
Many people tensed up. "Already? I thought that they would have more time to train." The pink haired girl said.
Momo looked at the boy with a worried expression on her face. “Oh no! Okarun…” The screen cut to the white haired woman for a second, showing off her sleep mask. “…needs to go to the bathroom!!”
The boy was running in place, struggling to keep his bladder in check.
"That's it? I thought something serious was going on." Miko said as she relaxed into her seat again.
Kei turned to her with a serious expression. "Hey! A rouge bladder is serious." They both looked at each other for a few seconds before bursting into soft giggles.
"Is that your version of the 'I gotta go" dance?" The chubby boy in the first row asked. Okarun looked away with an embarrassed expression on his face.
The white haired woman stuck her hands in her corset/girdle(?) and leaned her head back. “Then go!”
”No, he can’t! I told you that’s a bad idea!” Momo yelled. “If my view of Okarun is blocked by some kind of obstacle…” A cartoonish image appeared on the screen, the chibi version of the boy sat on a toilet while the girl stood behind a door with her arms spread out in front of her.
“The curse will break loose again!” The boy transformed on the other side of the door. “So basically, I need to watch Okarun go to the bathroom!”
In the background the boy was still running in place.
Momo grimaced. "I'd rather not watch that." She turned around to look at her grandma. "Why doesn't the shrine have a place where he can go?"
Seiko kept her gaze on the screen as she answered. "There's no plumbing going into the shrine so adding a toilet is a no go. Unless..." She looked at her granddaughter with a blank expression. "You'd be willin' ta clean it."
"Ew! Of course not!"
Seko shrugged. "Watching him go it is."
”Then watch ‘im.” The woman suggested nonchalantly.
Momo looked at her grandma incredulously. ”No way in hell I’m lookin’ at him do his business.”
Okarun looked towards her. “As if I’d let someone watch me!! And let them trample on my dignity!!”
"I'm not sure how either of you still have your dignity in tact after everything that has happened." The pink haired girl said. Her seat partner couldn't help but agree, though he didn't say it out loud.
The girl looked to her grandma for guidance. “Isn’t there something I can do here?”
The woman scratched her back as she answered. “No clue. For starters, how do you control the curse?”
”Uh…. I don’t really know what to call it…” An image of the boy appeared on screen as Momo spoke. His body was partially compromised of blue flames and in the center was a bluish-green aura. “I can see this bluish flame within Okarun. Bluish aura, maybe?”
It then showed Momo reaching out to squeeze the aura in the center. “And when I squeeze the aura really tight…it gets smaller. Like the curse is under control, I guess.”
Seiko narrowed her eyes at the visual of Momo's powers. Meanwhile, Momo's eyes widened as she looked at her own powers.
"Wow, that's so cool, Mo." Miko said.
Kei nodded. "It's like you can see people without seeing them."
Her grandma was seen with an aura in her center as well. “There’s an aura in everyone. The colors are different though. Those bushes and pebbles…have them too.”
"Wait- does everything have aura? I thought it was just living things." The boy with a buzz cut spoke.
"Everything is connected with one another, from the ground we walk on to the highest peak. All through the bonds of the world. I'm assuming that Momo's ability lets her see and harness those bonds." Seiko explained.
The pebbles started to levitate and floated towards the girl. “I can take hold of their auras…and move them however I want. I can’t reach that far, though.”
”Huh.” The woman started speaking. “And here I thought psychic powers were supposed to be insanely busted…that’s pretty limited.”
Momo dropped the pebbles with a somber expression. “When my powers were first awakened…they were way better.” A scene from the first viewing played again, showing Momo when her powers first awakened. “Right then, it felt like whatever I pictured in my head actually happened. Like I was unstoppable, I guess.”
Kei leaned forward to look at Momo. "You're kinda like those characters that are outrageously overpowered so the author gives them some kind of mental barrier to balance it out." Momo raised a brow in confusion.
It cut back over to present Momo. “But they got weak pretty quick…and now all I can do is manipulate auras.”
”Momo. Close your eyes for a sec.” The woman instructed.
”I can’t! The curse’ll break loose again!” Momo yelled.
”What I mean is you can’t just rely on your eyes.” She pointed to her eyes that were covered by the sleeping mask. “Try using your other senses more. Like your sense of touch.”
Momo looked over to her grandmother in interest as the woman continued to speak. “If you can grab auras, you oughta be able to feel ‘em too.” The camera shifted over to the boy that was still running in place. “Feel his aura on your skin.”
"That actually makes sense. Just using your eyes when you can extend your powers to your others senses will only limit you." The girl in the first row commented.
The girl slowly reached forward. “…It’s cold.”
”Now close your eyes. Slowly.” The woman instructed.
Momo did as she was told.
”Feel it.
Momo was able to successfully hold onto something, “Well?” Or so she thought.
The woman raised her mask to take a look. “Yep. He’s changing.”
Okarun’s body twisted and contorted into a crude shape, “AYASE-SAAAAAAN!!”
Momo looked on in shock as she suppressed the curse again. “I can’t do it!!”
”Well shit.” Her grandma said in response.
"Damn! I thought you had it, Mo!" Miko said with a sigh.
Kei reached around Miko to pat Momo's arm as the girl slumped in her seat. "I'm sure you'll get it eventually girl."
Momo nodded with a dejected expression.
A close up of the boy was shown, he looked very stressed. “I’m almost at my limit!! I can’t hold it in any longer!!”
The woman turned to her granddaughter. “Now what, Momo? His bowels’re startin’ to move.”
”You told me to try it!!”
”I don’t want anyone watching me go to the bathroom!!” The boy yelled. He then turned and started running to the house. “But I really don’t wanna do it in my pants!!”
"Hey, what the hell?! What makes you think you can just go in my house?!" Momo yelled.
Takakura turned around with an annoyed expression. "I have to go! You want me to just go in my pants?"
Momo scowled and looked off to the side. "Go in a bush or something."
"We're not in the wilderness, I think I deserve to go in an actual bathroom!"
Momo looked at his retreating form in shock before running after him. “Hey, wait!! Where do you think you’re going?!”
”I'm using your bathroom!!” He said in response. The white haired woman quickly followed after them.
They ran down the halls of the house as the girl yelled. “You’ve got some nerve takin’ a shit in someone else’s house!!” She said while using her arm to try and push him back.
”I’m at the end of my rope!!” The boy yelled back. He was using his arm to push her away as well.
”Lemme join!!” The woman said as she kept up pace behind them.
The boy with a buzz cut looked at the screen with a confused expression. 'Is the whole family crazy or something?'
”Who said you could use the toilet?!” Momo said.
”Are you stupid?! The turtlehead’s gonna poke out!! Any second now!!”
”Dont think you can outrun me in this house!!” They both turned a corner and she used her arm to knock his face in a different direction.
”Move it!! I’m gonna blow!!” He didn’t let her action stop him from running.
”Stop, Takakura Ken!!” The woman called out as she turned to corner.
Momo suddenly fell down in a comical fashion after hearing the name of her most beloved actor.
Miko and Kei turned to Momo with blank expressions. "Girl, are you serious?" Miko asked. Momo turned away from them to hide her red face.
Okarun, after seeing his opponent go down, picked up the pace. “I’ve got iiit!!”
”Not on my watch!!” The woman yelled.
Jiji turned around to face Seiko. "Are you actually against him using the bathroom?"
"Not really. Just felt like racing." Seiko replied.
They both started shouting as they raced to the bathroom. It then cut over to the end result, showing the boy seated on the toilet as the girl stood outside. The door was left ajar so the the girl could still keep him in her sights.
The boy held his head in his hands. “This is humiliating.”
Momo scrunched up her nose, “I don’t wanna hear that from you.”
There were a couple snorts and muffled laughter from the audience. Okarun hid his face in his hands like his onscreen counterpart. "How embarrassing..." He mumbled.
The chubby boy next to him rubbed his back in a comforting manner.
”Up until now, I’ve longed for experiences with the unknown. Like getting abducted by aliens.”
”For real?”
”But this is too much. I just want to be free from this curse as soon as possible.”
The white haired woman looked at her granddaughter. “Momo. You said you felt unstoppable when you first awakened your psychic powers didn’tcha?”
”Yeah.”
”Chance are those’re your natural powers. Seems like they’ve been sealed up somehow.”
"Called it." Kei said. "You're totally like an anime protagonist."
"Really?" Momo asked with a raised brow.
"Yeah, you got the super cool powers. The evil antagonist. I'm pretty sure you're gonna have a whole training montage in a little bit. From what we saw in the opening last time, you'll end up collecting your own crew. Plus you have your own love interest. You're the perfect protagonist."
Momo shot her a skeptical look before thinking it over. "I kinda see it." She smirked to herself. "I'm pretty cool, aren't I?"
”Gosh, that sounds kinda cool.” The girl smirked.
”More like a pain in the ass.” The seal on the wall was shown. “You’re gonna hafta train to unleash that power bit by bit. I dunno how long that’ll take. Well it’ll take a while to train the boy, too, so you’ve got time.”
The boy looked up. “You mean I’ll have to keep being watched on the toilet?!”
”That's my line!” The girl yelled. She didn’t want to have to keep watching him do his business. However, she quieted down due to the lack of response.
To her left she saw her grandmother start to bleed out of her nose. “Wait, grandma! You got a nosebleed! That happened to me a while a—” She as about to finish her sentence when something in front of her got her attention.
Turbo granny, or at least her eye poked through the door of the bathroom. Momo froze before looking towards her grandma again. “Grandma, the Turbo-Granny!! She’s here!! Grandma!!”
However, it was no use because no matter what she said the woman was unresponsive.
Momo's eyes widened. "What the fuck?!" She turned around and looked at the old lady in the fifth row. "The hell did you do to my grandma?!"
The old lady looked down at her. "The old hag isn't dead, not yet at least." She paid no mind to the younger girl's thunderous expression. "I'm probably just tired of y'all playing chicken. If you got business with me then you need to handle it quick."
"Momo." Seiko said. Momo looked at her grandma with an angry expression while she continued. "I ain't dead yet, so sit down and watch. You got nothing to worry about, even if something does happen up there, I'll still be here."
Momo wavered for a second before looking at the old lady once more. "If anything happens to my grandma I'll kick your ass you hag!" She turned around and sat down after, pointedly ignoring the scoff she got in response.
”That won’t do you any good.” Momo snapped her head over to the spirit as she continued to speak. “She’s nothing but a shadow of herself. Times only moving for you and me.”
”Grandma!! You bastard!! What the hell’re you doing to my grandma?!”
”A heart attack, a stroke…I’ll let you decide how she dies.” It showed the boy still on the toilet, however his face was no longer visible. “My curse is infectious. With the kid as my go-between…I can curse and kill any human whose laid eyes on him. Don’t push your luck with me. You get no time to train. Come to the tunnel, tonight. If you don't, I'll use the boy to kill everyone around him.” Turbo granny's form slowly started to disappear. "Tonight. Got it?"
Momo sucked teeth as she crossed her arms. No training? That's fine, she'll still find a way to kick that old bitch's ass.
Kei sighed inwardly. No training montage...
She completely vanished and the oppressive air that was present before was nowhere to be found. Takakura looked up, a bit of blood protruding from his nose. "Woah, nosebleed!" He exclaimed.
Momo, noticing his sudden awareness, looked over to find her grandma wiping away some blood. "Grandma!!"
"What's up?"
"You're bleeding from your ears too! Does your head hurt?!
The woman looked toward the seal that was shown previously. The top half of it had turned black, blocking out the imprinted text. "Momo. Lemme hear what happened."
"Damn, she's able to bypass the seal?" Miko questioned.
The old lady in the fifth row scoffed. "As if a measly little seal would hold me."
The scene changed to show the moon before it shifted to show the woman dressed in traditional clothes while making a seated prayer. It shifted once more to show Momo and Takakura also in traditional clothes. Momo shot her grandma an unimpressed stare. "Do we have to wear this?"
"It's hard for me to see." Takakura added on.
The woman put her glasses back on, they had been taken off for the ceremony. "That's the bulletproof vest of a spirit medium. Make sure it stays on. With the two of you not having any training...this is like throwing you into a shoot wrestling match."
"Bulletproof vest of a spirit medium... awesome..." Miko said with a grin on her face.
"Is there no charm or talisman that you can give them? Or like an anti spirit weapon?" The guy with a buzzcut questioned. He frowned at the negative answer he got in response.
"At least you look cool?" Kei offered. Momo just sighed.
"Uh, what? Shoot?"
"If you're not careful, you can get yourself killed easy.”
”Yeah I know!” Momo gave her grandmother a thumbs up. “We look pretty weak, but we’ve beat up aliens before!”
Her grandmother wasn’t impressed. “And quit joking around. There’s no such thing as aliens.”
”Uh…alright…”
”That’s why you’re always causin’ trouble, though. You’ve never listened to a thing I’ve said since you were little.”
Momo sighed and looked off to the side. “Ugh, shut up already! I don’t wanna be lectured by some old hag! Let’s go, Okarun!”
”Momo!”
”What now?!” Momo yelled in exasperation. However, her annoyed expression soon softened. Two slender arms snaked their way around her shoulders, encompassing her in a warm hold.
”Don't die out there.” The woman whispered into her granddaughter’s ear.
”…alright.”
Momo turned around to face her grandma with a serious expression. "We aren't gonna die out there, no matter what."
Her grandma looked at her for a second before her eyes softened. "Okay."
The woman looked at the two as they rode away to the tunnel. Her hands joined together in a prayer. “Please…protect those two.”
Momo clutched at her sweater. 'Don't worry grandma, I don't plan on losing.'
The scene shifted to show the inside of a train. Bystanders looked on at the current predicament.
”Wait, Ayase-san! Why are we taking the train?!” Okarun yelled in confusion.
Momo ripped off her ceremonial head piece. “It’s too far by bike! I don’t want us worn out by the time we reach the tunnel!” The camera zoomed in to show a close up of her determined expression. “I ain’t gonna let that turbo granny get away with this!!”
Takakura frowned. “I’m sorry. This is all for me-”
”Nuh uh!! That hag tried to hurt someone I care about!” She grit her teeth. “Which is why…I’m gonna beat her ass to a pulp!!
Seiko looked at the version of her granddaughter on screen with a smile. 'She's always been so fiery, just like...'

Chapter Text
Momo and Takakura were seen standing in front of the abandoned tunnel that housed turbo granny.
Takakura held back a shudder as he looked at the tunnel again. There was no way in hell that he'd ever go in there now that he knew that ghosts were real.
”Alright! We made it! You go first, Okarun.” Momo pushed him forward as she spoke.
Miko raised a brow as she looked at the screen. "You cop a new fit, Momo?" She was referring to the new outfit that she had on instead of the ceremonial garbs that Seiko had given her.
Momo observed her on-screen self. She wore a thigh length dress with red lining, knee-high black socks with matching black shoes, and a cropped red jacket that had fur on the top.
"You look nice, Mo." Kei said.
”Nope. Ladies first.” Okarun moved back and pushed her in front of him.
Momo turned around and brought her hands to her cheeks, puffing them out to appear cuter. “Wook, you made me cry.” Her voice was babyish as she spoke.
The pink haired girl raised her brow with an unimpressed look on her face. If you're gonna lie, at least make it convincing. Learn how to cry on command or something, life gets so much easier once you do.
”Your eyes are as dry as a desert.” The boy sent her an unimpressed glare. "Why don't we go in together? Walking side-by-side is fair to both of us!"
"Pussy." Momo said with a scoff.
Jiji couldn't help but chuckle at their antics. Okarun grumbled, she was just as much of a pussy as he was.
They both started walking into the tunnel when Momo noticed something, she turned around and pulled on Okarun's arm with a frown. "Hold it, Okarun! You're walking behind me! Get next to me!"
Okarun fought the grip she had on his arm. "AAARGH! No fair, Ayase-san! You're just looking for an excuse to get behind me!" He twisted to look right at her as she smashed her hand in his face.
"Sonuva..!"
"Hey!! Wait... stop..!"
They both paused their fighting to catch their breaths before looking forward again.
"Let's go." Momo said.
"Agreed."
"Y'all are so hilarious for no reason." Muko said with a chuckle. Miko snickered, "Fighting like an old married couple." Momo rolled her eyes at her friend's words.
The camera shifted to show the roof of the tunnel as Momo spoke. "Anyway, what were we supposed to do if the Turbo Granny showed up, again? Just pound 'er, right?"
Momo ignored the looks she got, it's not her fault she can't stand to remember all the boring stuff. Okarun looked at his partner with a resigned expression on his face.
A map then showed up on screen as Okarun answered. "No! We need to draw her outside of Shounou city... And split her from the bound spirit!" The scene shifted back to the two teens as it showed them from bird's eye view, Momo held Okarun's shoulder as they walked forward. "If we can do that, the Turbo Granny will be weakened. And even we should be able to take her down."
"I see, I see." Momo smirked. "But y'know, we took down that huge alien before. I think we can beat the odds, and the Turbo Granny!"
Okarun shot her an unimpressed look. "Says the girl who was too scared to go in before."
"That's something you say before getting your ass kicked." Seiko snidely commented.
Momo scowled as she turned around. "We'll be fine--"
Seiko narrowed her eyes. "Don't you go getting a big head cause you took down some big guy. The Turbo Granny isn't someone to be trifled with."
"Listen to your grandma, kid. Might just learn something." Turbo granny chuckled.
Momo shook her head with a smile. "But she's just an old hag!" She looked up as she continued speaking. "If we handled that big lug back then, she oughta be a piece of--"
She paused her words as she looked toward the end of the tunnel. Further into the tunnel a head of white, crumpled hair sat, the head the hair belonged to faced the ground.
Both teen's widened their eyes in shock. "SHE'S HUGE!"
"What the fuck?!" Momo looked at the screen in shock before turning to her grandma again. "She can do that?!"
Seiko shot her an unimpressed look. "She's a powerful yokai, what do you expect?"
"Not a giant head!"
Okarun turned to grab onto Momo's arm. "Wh-wh-wh-what do we do, Ayase-san?!"
Momo continued staring at the giant head as she spoke. "CALM DOWN!! YOU JUST SAID IT!! We've gotta draw her outta Shounou city, right? Let's hit it!!" She said while preparing to run.
"GYAAAAAAA!!" Okarun yelled as he looked behind them. "What are you GYAA-inng for?!" Momo asked as she turned around as well.
At the other end of the tunnel was another giant head that was now staring at them.
"Oh, so they're trapped. That's just great!" The pink haired girl said as she nervously bit her nail. Jiji looked over at her, unsure of what to say to reassure her.
"I'm so dead. I'm so dead. I'm so dead. I'm so dead. I'm so dead. I'm so dead..." Takakura mumbled from his spot in the first row. His seat mates looked at him with worry.
"I'm sure that you'll be fine, Takakura." The girl with square glasses spoke.
"That's easy for you to say, you're not the one watching their future self potentially die!" The boy responded.
"Oh shit, oh shit!! She can do that?!" Momo questioned while pulling on Okarun's arm. The boy pointed at the giant head in front of them with a panicked expression. "She's headed this way!!" He yelled.
As the head started to move closer, Momo pushed Okarun in front of her and pulled off the bag he had on his back. "Gimme that!! I've got this..!" She used her powers to levitate the metal bats that were in the bag. "Awright! Get 'er!!" Momo yelled as she threw the bats at the giant head that they first saw. However, the attack didn't land because the head opened its eyes, showing off the fact that its eyes were actually smaller teeth.
"Ew! So creepy!" The pink haired girl said.
"There goes that plan." Momo grumbled as she sunk into her seat.
"Urk!" Momo watched in shock as the bats were destroyed by the giant head's eyes. Momo turned away with a grimace. "Grooooss!! Her eyes are mouths!!"
Okarun turned to her. "Ayase-san, release the curse!! I'll see what I can do!!"
Kei's eyes widened. "I forgot about the curse for a sec, not gonna lie."
The girl in the first row made sure to pay extra attention to the next part.
"Got it!! I'm countin' on you!!"
"Right!! I will give it all I've got!!" Okarun said as the curse began to take over. He took off the head piece of his outfit and sighed. "Uuuugh, nope. I don't think I got this. I ain't gonna be any good out there." He told Momo.
"Ooh, yeah. You get all negative when I do this." Momo recounted as she pushed him forward. "I'll back you up! Now get out there and show her who's boss!"
Okarun started walking forward. "Sheesh, this pressure's killin' me." But then he suddenly stopped as his curse form began to fade away. He turned back to Momo with worry all over his face. "Hey, Ayase-san!! What's wrong?!"
"No way.." Momo was speechless. Damn it! There one trump card was now useless.
"Huh?! No way!! Hold on a sec!!" Momo's eyes widened as she looked at him. "Why...?! I can't see it..!!" The camera shifted to Okarun with a bit of aura in the middle of his chest while she continued to speak. "Okarun... The curse's power is dwindling.."
"I gave him his dick back." The giant head spoke with the voice of the Turbo Granny. "The curse is gone." The giant head's mouth broke into a wide smile. "I'm surprised you could use the curse... to transform like that."
Momo turned to look at the yokai in the fifth row. "Damn hag! Only doing stuff when it's convenient for you."
"Of course. You didn't think I would let you get off easy, did you?"
Momo and Okarun looked at her with tense expressions as she continued to speak. "But not on my watch, dipshit duo. As if I'd let you use my power." The giant head opened its mouth and quickly moved closer to them. "Now, I'll gobble the two of you up."
"Get a rise outta her." Momo's eyes widened as she remembered her grandma's words. The white haired woman showed up on screen as she continued speaking. "She puts all her confidence in her legs. If you can get a rise outta her, she'll do what you want."
Miko sighed in relief. "Thank god for that weird ability of yours to remember things you couldn't recall earlier at the most convenient time.
Momo looked at her in confusion, causing Miko to roll her eyes. "Girl, don't even act like you don't. You randomly remembered all the important stuff you needed to know for Mr. Aoi's test once you heard Muko play that new song from that band she's obsessed with."
Just as the giant heads were about to close in on her, she spoke up with a taunting look on her face. "What, you scared we'd beat you on foot?" Okarun looked up at her in confusion as she continued speaking. "Using your powers like this is soooo lame! But even that aside, your name's "Turbo Granny", right? Then there's no way you'd turn down a contest of speed." Momo furrowed her brows as she looked up at the giant heads. "If you're really the Turbo Granny, show us turbo. Try us in a game of speed."
"That's cool and all, but how are you planning to race her when Takakura can't go turbo or whatever?" The pink haired girl asked.
Momo forced herself to not swoon from hearing her beloved actor's name before she answered. "I just need to get her to give us a head start and then make it out of the city in that time."
The giant heads stopped and vanished, leaving an old lady in their place. The old lady and Momo stared each other down before the camera zoomed in to show the old lady's face. Her eyes were staring in two directions and her face was full of wrinkles.
"Who in the hell do you think you're running' your mouth to? Ain't no way in hell I'll lose on my feet." Turbo Granny said.
The camera panned over to Momo and Okarun to see their surprised expressions as turbo granny continued speaking. "Very well. I'll play along. I can gobble you lot up whenever I want, anyhow." Okarun's eyes widened as he looked at the thumbs up Momo hid behind her back. "What're the rules? Where's the goal?"
Momo spoke up, the camera panning to her as she explained the rules with a unbothered expression. "No goals? We're playing tag. If you catch us, you win. Simple enough, right?"
The camera then panned over to show Turbo Granny as Momo continued speaking. "When we start, count for ten minutes. We'll run away during that time. And make sure you follow that rule no matter what. Break it, and you'll go down as the shittiest yokai in history."
"Ten minutes?" The pink haired girl questioned.
Momo shrugged with an unbothered expression on her face. "She's the Turbo Granny, right? We'll need as much time as we can get."
The old yokai in the fifth row chuckled. "It's your funeral."
A shot of turbo granny smirking from below was then shown. "Very well. I can't stand cheaters, anyhow."
"Alright, let's. start!!" Momo said as she and Okarun turned around and began running down the tunnel. "Run, Okarun!!"
"1... 2... 3... 4..."
"Wow!! I really thought we were going to die back there!!" Okarun yelled as he ran next to her. "You're a genius, Ayase-san!"
"I know! But I should've made her count a bit longer! Ten minutes is barely enough time to make it outta the city!" Momo said as she ran.
"Do you even know what the fastest route out of the city is?" Kei asked. Momo shrugged. "I'll probably remember it in the moment."
"Girl.."
The screen then showed Turbo Granny as she began counting on her fingers. "10..... 12.... 1 minute... 3 minutes... 5 minutes..."
"The hell?" Jiji questioned. "She's countin' all weird!"
Momo eyes' widened as she turned to look at the yokai. "Hold up!! She's... counting weird!" She then yelped as she tripped on something. Okarun turned around to see what was wrong and found Momo being grabbed by a bunch of hands coming out of the floor. "Ayase-san!!"
"Okaru--!!" Momo's words were cut short by the group of hands fully covering her up. Okarun started patting the enclosed collection of hands to see if he could pull her out, to no avail. "Ayase-san!!"
"Momo!" Miko yelped as she held onto Momo's arm.
"Her ten minutes are up." Turbo Granny said as she appeared behind him. "Now I gotta count ten minutes for you." She brought her hands up and started counting. "1... 2.... 5..... 20...."
Okarun turned to her with a panicked expression. "That's not fair!! Let Ayase-san out!"
"1 minute.. 28.... 45...."
"Stop!! You're counting weird!! I thought you said you wouldn't break the rules!" Okarun said as he stalked over to her.
"You told me to count to ten minutes, not how to count 'em."
"This yokai has no problem playing dirty and mixing up words if it means that it can win." The chubby boy in the first row concluded.
"Don't screw with me!!"
"3 minutes... 31... 46... 52.."
"Stop counting!! I mean it!!"
"But that doesn't make sense. Ten minutes is ten minutes. You can't just count it however you please." The girl with glasses said.
"That would be the case normally but we've already seen that this yokai doesn't care for normally in the slightest. It has no problem flipping any expectations that we may have."
The camera closed in on turbo granny's face as she finished counting. "10 minutes." The camera swapped over to Okarun as she continued speaking. "Alright. Caught you."
"Though you're still kind of a spaz." Momo said, a memory of her played on the screen as Okarun's eyes widened. "I know I'll wind up savin' you next time."
Okarun strengthened his resolve and jumped at Turbo Granny. "Lemme suck your titties!!" His teeth latched onto her breast causing the old yokai to scream in pain as she swung around, trying to get him off.
"YOU HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG!!" Okarun yelled while still hanging onto her breast.
The pink haired girl did a spit-take as she looked at the scene. Her seat partner was just as stunned as she was. Miko and Muko looked at the screen, each other, before turning to Momo. They found her already turned around with a grin on her face. "Suck it, you old bat!"
Turbo Granny grabbed onto his shoulders and tried to push him away. "Don't just suck my titties whenever you feel like it, jackass! Get off me, you fucking brat!!"
"You said it yourself!!" The camera shifted to show Okarun's determined face as he spoke with the breast in his mouth. "I'll let you suckle my titties!! Now let me suck your dick!! You said it!" The camera then zoomed out to show Turbo Granny swinging around. "I'm not gonna let go until you let Ayase-san out!!"
"It's just as crazy as the first time I heard it." Jiji mumbled.
"AIEEEE!! What in the hell's happening?! I've got no strength!! I can't even shake a scrawny little boy loose!!" She then turned her attention to his outfit. "It can't be!! The clothes he's wearing!!" Turbo Granny grunted as she realized what she needs to do. "Damn it all!! You've forced my hand!!" She let go of her corporal form and transformed into her pure yokai form. "I'll just turn into a ghost and possess you!!"
Okarun's body twisted and became malformed as he, or better referred to as she due to Turbo Granny possessing him, began ripping off his clothes.
"PHEWWW! You're a real pain in the ass!! You shitheel!" A dark outline of Turbo Granny was shown as she continued tearing off the clothes. "Who the hell gave you these fucking clothes, anyway?!" She paused for a second. "It can't be! They're not with those damn skill users, are they?!"
Miko raised an eyebrow. "Skill users? Does she mean mediums?" Unbeknownst to her, Turbo granny was examining the girl from her spot in the fifth row.
A close up of Turbo Granny was shown as she calmed down. "Well, whatever. Time to eat the girl and finish this off." She said as she began walking toward to the capsule of hands that held Momo. However, before she could make it far, her cursed body began to crumble. "What the-?! I can't move my body."
A pair of hands came on the screen, tightly gripping a red aura. "It feels like I'm being crushed!!" Turbo Granny looked around in apprehension. "Who's there?! Who the hell could do such a shitty...!"
Kei gasped before grabbing Miko's hand. "She figured it out..." She whispered to herself.
The screen shifted over to the capsule of hands as someone spoke from within. "I know it all. I can't see it, but I know it all." Turbo Granny looked on in surprise as the girl continued speaking. "Okarun doesn't have a dim bluish flame inside him right now..." A vague outline of Okarun was shown covered in a bluish flame before shifting to a dark red flame. "Because the Turbo Granny's true form is in there. I know it all."
The girl's hands squeezed Turbo Granny's aura. "I can see it clearly... with my skin!!"
"You're so badass, Mo." Kei said as she watched the scene with a smile.
Turbo Granny grumbled in displeasure before racing off toward the capsule of hands. "You shitheel!! Get your hands off me!!" Her body twisted and kicked the capsule open.
Okarun's cursed form was shown again, though this time he began to look more like himself as the curse rescinded. "Thanks for the help, Ayase-san!!" Okarun said as he stood up straight.
"That's my line!!" Momo said from her crouched position on the ground. "Nice work, Okarun!!" She had her hand out toward him.
"Yup, you're definitely anime protags. No going back now." Miko smiled softly at her friend's antics.
"Damn it all!!" Turbo granny yelled as her weakened form popped out of Okarun's scarf-like accessory that was the result of her ripping up the outfit. "Get me out of the boy right this instant!!"
Momo came up behind her with a wicked grin. "Caught you, shitheel. Now, what's the best way to make you squeal...?" Turbo granny shrunk away from her devious expression.
"Give her back!! Give back the granny!!" An unidentifiable voice called. Both teens turned to see a giant crab standing right in front of them. They grabbed onto each other as they yelled in shock.
"Why is it always one thing right after the other?!" Momo groaned.
"BOUND SPIRIT!! KILL THEEEEM!!" Turbo granny yelled.
Momo and Okarun turned around and booked it out of the tunnel. "RUN FOR IIIIIIIT!!" Momo yelled.
