Work Text:
I saw a blue house today
On the hill, outskirts of town
Close to my dorm
In another life I would've told you about it
And you would know about my dorm
You would know which uni I go to
In another life we would still be talking
We would still know each other
I'd tell you alll the stupid things
And you'd know all about the big ones
In another life, in another time
I would know how your exam went
I'd have called you after
In this life I dont know how you're doing
I don't know of your plans, of the butterflies
In this sour life, you dont know
About my school, about my life
You don’t know me anymore
And the sad thing is,
I don't know you either
Tonight I don't get to call you and tell you
All about the Blue Home I saw
Oh how alone it looks
Crowded by all the white, colourless houses
It does not belong
How beautifully tragic it is
The Blue Home
I don’t get to tell you these, I never do
As I don't get to call you my friend anymore
And neither do you
Oh, I wonder
Did you see a flower, lonely amongst a field of flowers?
Did you thought of me when you saw it?
Do you think of me as I think of you, old friend?
I searched for the Blue Home once again today
Thinking of you
But today
It was gone, left me behind too
I do not see the Blue Home anymore
In its place are the dull white houses
That can never fill the hole left behind
Neither can anybody else.
