— I’m coming to Forks next Monday —
This was what the text said, with a smily face in the end. This bastard! That was the first message she got from him in last three months, and, oh god, how infuriating it makes her. Well yeah, it wasn’t totally his fault, considering his life… and moreover, she didn’t even know what was his life for more than two years now.
She didn’t reach out to him too, which made her feel kinda guilty, but she was super busy with all of that new boyfriend, who is a vampire, James who managed to bit her, Victoria with her newborn army, then their wedding, then their daughter and finally the Volturi. And it all happened in that two years, at the same time when he left them, and didn’t bother to update on anything about his life.
All events that went one after another were so overwhelming that she even forgot about him! About her only brother!
And like always, she didn’t have a choice but to forgive him. Again. Because she couldn’t possibly be really mad at him.
She immediately called Charlie, because, firstly, what the hell was that! And secondly, she just didn’t know what to do with that information.
Charlie didn’t even manage to say hello, when she nervously interrupted «Dad, did you hear anything about Rias recently?» There was a slightly long pause, and than a deep and exhausted sigh was followed by «Yeah… just this morning actually he called me… and I assume you already know he is coming right?»
«Yes… I just got this one sentence message from him today. He said he will be coming on Monday and nothing more. I wanted to see if you knew something before calling him»
«I didn’t get to ask anything after he dropped that bomb of his arrival on me actually, he ended the call before I could say something. And I also tried calling him back… he didn’t answer any of them. Bella… I think he won’t… I think he won’t contact us before his arrival. You know he is very stubborn, but if you try and he does answer you, tell me… please… I j-just need to know that he is okay»
«Yeah, right, I also worry about him much. I’ll call you later, I love you too, bye»
The moment she turned her back to the window, she was met with excited, short-haired brunet, who pulled her into a tight hug. «Oh Bella! I’m so excited to finally meet him» short woman was practically jumping on her place, mumbling something into the air. Alice probably already saw him in her visions. Edward and Renesmee entered the room next, both already knowing what is Alice so excited about.
Next moment their living room was filled with everybody else.
«Bella» Carlisle started, his tone very kind as always when he talked to any of his family members «I’m assuming someone will be visiting us soon?»
Alice started first «I’m sorry Bella, but can I tell them first, please?» She was so excited, Bella couldn’t possibly deny her request when she looks at her with that eyes. Besides, she is not sure if she can start this conversation herself, so she offers it to Alice
«Our family will get bigger soon! Bella’s brother is coming to visit us next week and I hope he is staying for good!» She was shining with happiness, when Rosalie interrupted «Bella’s brother? —» her voice got lower with every passing second «You didn’t only not tell us about him, but now we will be having another human as a family member?» She was glaring at Bella so intently it seemed that Bella will melt any next second.
It made Bella even more nervous than she was before, but she also started to lose her temper «These last years were busy and there was simply no peaceful times for me to sit everybody down and tell you about my family!» She was now glaring at Rose with the same viciousness.
«Exactly! These last years were busy. Let me ask why? We accepted you in our family despite you being human and Edward not wanting to turn you. And we couldn’t reach peace for so long because of that! This might put our family at even bigger risk, it is simply dangerous!» If she could still breath, she would probably be huffing right now.
Before Bella could answer something, Alice stood between them «Rose, believe me please…» she then changed a sorrowful glance with Edward, who knew what her visions were about, and second one, understanding and apologizing glance with Bella and looked back at Rose «Our family will not be at any risk with him joining us…»
«Fine, but I won’t be nice and soft for him, it was already enough for me when it happened the first time» she then turned her back and disappeared with her husband, probably going for a hunt to soothe her anger.
Alice then turned back to Bella with a reassuring smile «Don’t worry Bella, he will fit right in» as she said that last part, both, Edward and Alice now smiled knowingly towards Jasper. He felt excited waves of emotions coming from them as he raised his eyebrow in a questioning look. Neither of them answered him.
