    Bennett felt the tug, and sucked in air before the water enveloped him again. The water was colder then before, and his limbs were getting heavier as he struggled against the current. He reached the surface, gasping. He filled his lungs with air and yelled, calling to his friends for help.

    "Hey! Guys!" There was no reaction. Could they not hear him?
