Chapter Text
"Where's your other half?' Tony asked.
"Who are you taking about?" Natasha asked. "I don't have another half."
"I thought you and Legolas," Tony said.
"Clint?" Natasha said. "He's the closest I have to a brother. I couldn't convince him to come. Maybe later. He's not that far if we assemble. He's in Brooklyn."
"Barton's from Brooklyn?" Steve asked.
"Clint's from Iowa," Natasha said. "He lives in Brooklyn."
"I'll have Happy bring the Limo around," Tony said. "If we all gang-up on him he won't be able to say no."
"Maybe he just needs time," Bruce said.
"Natasha?" Steve asked.
"I think Tony's right," Natasha said. "If we don't drag him out of that house he'll stew there forever. He just can't stop blaming himself for Loki."
Tony pulled out his Stark Phone and texted Happy to bring around the Limo. Looking-up he saw Pepper walking toward the team minus Barton and Thor. "You want to come?" Tony asked. "We're going to Brooklyn to fetch Barton back to the tower to see his purple on purple on purple apartment."
"Barton lives in Brooklyn?" Pepper asked.
"So do a lot of people," Tony said. "What's interesting about that?"
"Phil lived in Brooklyn," Pepper said. "I know it's just a coincidence."
"It's not," Natasha said. "Clint and Coulson lived there before Clint saved me in Budapest and took me home to convince Coulson to recruit me. It would be good for him to be here with all of us."
