Phil couldn't sleep so he decided to slip out of bed, leaned on his cane and left the apartment. Standing in the hall, he called out to Jarvis and asked, "Where can I find Pippa?"
"You can simply senter the elevator and I'll take you to the floor where you'll find her. She's in the TV room with Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner."
Phil did as Jarvis instructed and then stepped out of the elevator when Jarvis stopped on the floor that he could expect to find his and Clint's daughter.
Phil found the TV room and stuck his head into the entrance and saw Pippa sandwiched between Stark and Banner watching a movie that Phil didn't recognize. It did amuse Phil that Stark had built a fort from pillows and fuzzy blankets for Pippa. That was where Pippa and her uncles were watching the movie from.
"Poppy, you want to see with us?" Pippa asked, craning her neck around her Uncle Bruce.
"I think I'll go back to bed," Phil said. "I'm tired. Just wanted to see you before I went to sleep."
Pippa wiggled out of the fort , ran to her Poppy and hugged him.
"Are you okay, Pippa?" Phil asked.
"I'm great," Pippa said. Uncle Tony made me a fort, Uncle Bruce came to play with us and you came back to be my Poppy. It be miracle. Uncle Steeb say so."
Phil tried not to see Pippa see him cry as he ran his fingers through his and Clint's little girl's red, curly hair. He wanted to thank Natasha for giving him and Clint such a gift. He wondered why Clint hadn't mentioned it, but it was obvious that Clint and Natasha were the biological parents.
