“What exactly were you expecting?” Malfoy spluttered.
“I was hoping for a treat, but your horrible house had other ideas.” Harry flexed his foot, which was pressed against Malfoy somewhere.
The Halloween party had been going well overall. The manor was exquisitely festooned in black and orange and Hermione had spelled the doors in the main corridor to dispense tricks and treats as the doors felt fit. They were all rather old for trick or treating, but were nevertheless eager to regain some of the joy of childhood.
Which is why Harry wanted enormous amounts of candy, not to be stuck in some sort of box with the biggest git on the planet. He pushed against the walls, feeling for an escape, but if anything the box felt even smaller around him.
“Stop it, Potter, you’re making it worse.” Harry peered at Draco’s face through the dim, diffuse light. Draco’s cheeks were dark, his eyes lidded.
“Yeah?” Harry flexed again.
“Please” Draco’s voice rose into a desperate whine. Harry felt something stiffen on his hip. Oh.
It was as good an opportunity as any. “Hey Malfoy.” Harry licked his lips. “Do you want to turn this trick into a treat?”
