“Buck, where are-”
Eddie cut himself off, spotting Buck’s phone on the ground next to his kitchen table.
But that wasn’t what had Eddie freezing in place.
What had him frozen was the small pile of blood on the floor next to the phone. Eddie’s eyes followed the trail as the blood dragged out toward the door, a path of drops leading out of the apartment.
Eddie felt like he couldn’t breathe as he navigated to Athena’s number on his phone and dialed.
Buck was hurt and someone had taken him.
