Summary
“We’re in the game.” Kai realises. The pixels he’d been fussing over for years as a child, had focussed into real-life graphics, the debris underneath him gravelly, and the Professor, a character he hadn’t regarded in much detail before, now standing before him, wondrous and whimsical, with a beard that reaches across his shoulders and down to the curl of his cane.
“What game?” Soobin speaks up, and that devastating angry look he had on before he’d lunged at Kai is thankfully gone, replaced by pure exhaustion.
“The game I was playing. Pokémon Ranger.”
“You’re fucking with me,” Soobin says, and something in his voice tells Kai that he’s not even questioning it. “We’re in a Pokémon game?”
Kai and Soobin find themselves transported to the world of Pokémon after an argument - what will it take for them to beat the game?
