Work Text:
"Sensei!" Saru shoulders his way into their professor's office, holding out the coffee in his hand like a sacrifice. "We brought you - urk!"
Koharu bumps into him when he freezes, and she yelps as the stack of papers she just printed off begin sliding out of her arms. "Saru! What the hell - ?"
"You're early." Sensei's deep voice is slightly hoarse, and she abandons the papers to peek over Saru's shoulder. "I could have sworn my office hours didn't start for another thirty minutes."
He's giving them the raised eyebrow of doom - the one that usually heralds trouble - but the tips of his ears are pink. And that doesn't even cover the way he's adjusting his turtleneck, nor the man slowly pulling away from him.
"I'm sorry sensei!" Saru hasn't dropped the coffee, thankfully, even though his other hand is covering his eyes. "I didn't see anything, I swear!"
Koharu rolls her eyes and sensei does too - they both know whenever Saru says he didn't do something, especially in that tone, it means he definitely did.
"Hey guys!" Kagami skids into the office, crashing into her pile of papers on the floor and churning them into an even bigger mess. "Sorry I'm late! What did I miss?"
"Sensei's new boyfriend." Koharu says dryly as she bends down to start picking up all the printouts. Hopefully some of them will be salvageable.
"Sensei has a boyfriend?" Kagami looks aghast. "Sensei! Are you cheating on - "
"No, Kagami, he's not cheating on me." The man behind sensei's desk looks deeply amused at the idea. "Though I appreciate your impassioned defence of my honour."
"Oh good." Kagami smiles sunnily at both of them, apparently relieved. "I didn't want to lose either of you in the inevitable divorce."
"Sensei is married?!" Saru really does drop the coffee this time.
And all over her papers too, Koharu notes as she gives up on them. Sensei making out in his office, spilled coffee, destroyed work... today is obviously cursed.
Wait.
"Kagami." She gives him her very best imitation of sensei's eyebrow and is somewhat appeased by the way he flinches minutely. "You knew sensei was married... and you didn't tell us?"
"I didn't think I needed to!" Kagami waves his hands as if to fend her off. "Everyone knows he married uncle Madara! It was in the papers even!"
"Business papers, Kagami." Sensei huffs a quiet laugh under his breath. "Your friends are grad students in physics."
Kagami blinks, clearly not seeing his point, and Koharu lets out a hiss of annoyance. "You have sixty seconds," she warns him with her sweetest smile. "Because I love you. Now run."
Kagami takes off, knowing she means it, and she bows to sensei and his husband before she spins to follow. "Please excuse me."
She stalks out of the room, hot on the heels of her prey, and leaves Saru to deal with the disaster in the office.
She has other, more important, things to take care of.
