Q had a problem. Well, to be honest ever since the outbreak and the end of the Q Civil War she had several problems. Her offspring gaining independence and regretfully taking more after the other parent and the 'father' of her offspring leaving her mostly alone to deal with and handle the political and organizational aftermath of it all were only a few of the problems she had. But not to worry, she was, after all, perfect. She could handle everything.
Everything aside from these horribly, horribly organic feelings and thoughts that infested her being ever since she briefly merged with Q.
Thoughts and feelings about the very human whom Q forgot her for. The very human whose fault it was that some of the Continuum laughed at her for her own mate preferring him over her.
It was all Qs fault. It was Qs fault that now she too always had at least a small part of herself watching the Enterprise and its Captain. It was Qs fault that when she had decided to pay Qs 'capitaine' a visit her human body reacted all kinds of weird to the humans closeness.
It was Qs fault that she found herself wanting Jean-Luc Picard in the same way Q did.
So really, if anyone was to blame for what would happen next, it was Q and not her.
