Summary
It's been a long, grueling night. And it has been that long, grueling night for what Alan suspects may be nearing the "years" mark. It's hard, spending that much time with such a small group of people and no one else, to not grow to trust them in some way or another.
Scratch is not trustworthy. Yet, his offer to celebrate their time in the loop together by experiencing one of the few dubious pleasures of functional immortality is an oddly appealing one. It's possible that Alan has spent altogether too much time with his counterpart, but he accepts.
