Summary
Jayce’s eyes widened, “Shit, it wasn’t supposed to rain today.”
“You are correct, it was not.” The disappointment is visible in his voice as Viktor pauses and hunches his body over the components in his hand, tucking them into the jacket and against his chest, as safe as they would get, trying his best to shield them from the rain.
Viktor caught on to this as he steps closer, “Take them, if you run you can make it back to the lab with these in one piece.”
His face contorts, “And what, just leave you?” appalled at his suggestion.
“Rain and myself are not on good terms, if it keeps coming down like this I must go slower so as to not slip.” he says matter of factly, and Jayce feels his eye twitch.
He groans, “Why didn’t we bring a bag?-”
“-It blew up last week during the last round of testing.”
“-I should’ve had an umbrella though!”
Viktor tsks, “It was… In the bag.” Jayce lets out a frustrated groan.
The rain is unrelenting. And so, Jayce makes an executive decision, not a popular one by any means, but a decision.
