Summary
In a desperate attempt to trample feeling, Caitlyn let her new routine consume her. Work, train, strategize, sex. Had she not run herself ragged during the day, there was Maddie to lose herself in at night. She’d found a place between silk sheets against Caitlyn’s will. She really hadn’t meant for it to drag on this long, but old habits die hard.
Or, that same old familiar feeling of being utterly alone creeps its sorry way back to her life. So Caitlyn does what Caitlyn knows: drown it out.
