Our favorite assassin is caught up in his past traumas, his own securities, and the added complication of Spite. Rook desperately wants to help him through it. Initially, it’s a slow burn expansion on the in game scenes we see - shopping with Lucanis, Cafe Pietra, the denied fireplace kiss, the mind-Ossuary rescue - fleshed out to make more sense with the pacing and the culmination of their relationship.
Later chapters are inspired by some of released narrative art that didn’t make it into the game. Kissing in the rain, a bath scene, a romantic gondola ride… they are all written and tied in with more scenes that we see in the game. I fixed the second coffee date “whatever this is I’ll take it…” dialogue. Things get explicit. And very fluffy.
