   Summary

   Found on an alien planet in the Beta quadrant as a child, Wei Ying becomes the recipient of an emergency transplant of the trill symbiont Sanren, causing both of them to lose their memories in the process.
   Fifteen years later, First Officer Wei Wuxian arrives on Deep Space Nine, determined to prove himself and serve his Commanding Officer Jiang Cheng, and maybe flirt with the beautiful Science Officer Lan Wangji along the way.
   But amidst escalating tensions on the station and the contested stewardship of the wormhole to the gamma quadrant, Wei Wuxian begins having strange visions of past lives that are not his own. Visions that lead him to research that has been hidden for decades.
   Visions somebody is determined to stop him from remembering.
