Ekko gave Jinx a look of abject horror.
“What are you doing?”
Without breaking eye contact with him, she continued to pour sugar into her bowl of noodles.
“I like things sweet.”
“What is wrong with you? Those are noodles. They’re a savory dish.”
"Oh, please,” Jinx said, grabbing another sugar packet. “You put so much hot sauce and chili flakes in your’s that you can’t even taste anything.”
“And that’s normal behavior. What you’re doing is an abomination.”
“I’m an abomination,” Jinx said happily.
“Yeah,” Ekko said, watching her add a third packet of sugar. “No shit. I married a monster.”
“A cute monster though, right?” She said, thankfully stopping with the sugar.
Ekko watched her slurp down the noodles with a look of blank acceptance.
“An adorable monster,” he admitted. “I still love you, even if you are committing atrocities against the art of cuisine.”
“Ekko, these are instant noodles,” Jinx said around a mouthful of noodles. “They cost like, four cogs.”
“I said what I said,” Ekko responded solemnly.
Instant or not, there were some lines you just didn’t cross.
