"Please, Mac, I could really use the help," Veronica said.
Mac sighed.
Veronica shrugged, then knelt down in front of Mac, clasped her hands and looked at Mac with puppy dog eyes.
Mac pursed her lips. "Resistance is futile," she said. Then continued, "You are really cute when you do that you know."
"Why do you think I do it?" Veronica asked. Then paused. "You think I'm cute?"
"Um... yeah," Mac said hesitantly. "Cute enough to kiss."
"I thought you liked boys?"
"Boys suck!" Mac said with a bitter edge.
Veronica thought back to what happened with Logan earlier. She sighed. "Yeah, they can sometimes." She thought again. Ah, what the hell. She leaned forward and gave Mac a kiss. Mac leaned forward too, into the kiss, her arms going around Veronica, Veronica's doing the same.
Both pulled away after a few moments.
"Um..." Veronica said.
"You hated it, right?" Mac asked. "Let's forget about it."
"Um... I don't want to forget about it," Veronica told her. "I want to pick this up again, later." She gave Mac a radiant smile, which was returned. "Okay?" Veronica asked.
"Okay!" Mac replied.
