Where is my son?!

Summary:

Nanami just wanted to go and find his son, he doesn't have time to do you a favor Gojo!

Notes:

This is a one-shot cause the idea of Nanami going full feral mode would not leave me alone.

There is no sex or anything like that here, just a dad worrying about his son who is close to presenting. I wanted some fluff, but I sort of just made it a little sad then brought the feel goods towards the end.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Nanami is not prone to panic. It was a prideful sort of thing that he didn’t lose his “cool” and was stoic in most stressful situations. However, it had been over a month of searching, and desperate calls that had Nanami at his wits end. He hadn’t called the school, Gojo, or anyone that was affiliated with Jujitsu High. They didn’t know that he had a son. That his son was close to presenting age. Nanami wanted to keep Yuji as far away from the shitty Jujitsu world as he could.

His fingers raked through his blond hair harshly, nearly pulling some of it out at the root if it meant he felt something other than blind panic that he still didn’t know where his one joy in life was. He looked at his phone again and nearly felt a gasp in his throat when he noticed it was lit up and ringing. Grasping onto it like it was a lifeline he answered without even looking.

“NANAMI!” He felt his blood run cold.

            It would be Gojo Satoru.

“What?” Nanami hissed out, teeth grit harshly together. He could hear the slight chuckle on the other end.

“I need to watch someone for me, and you can’t tell anyone about him.” Nanami paused, thoughts still going around wildly. He didn’t have time for one of Gojo’s hair-brained schemes. He didn’t need the higher-ups breathing down his neck if this went south. He needs to find his son.

Pinching the bridge of his nose harshly, Nanami sighed, “Gojo-san I do not have time to-”

“It’ll be just a week! I promise! He needs some guidance, and you are the perfect Omega for the job!” Nanami growled but it seemed Gojo took that as some sort of okay as the man made a pleased chirping noise that most Alpha’s made. Nanami wanted to roll his eyes and tell him off, but the call ended too soon.

Nanami sighed and checked his phone for any missed calls or messages. Still nothing. He wasn’t sure what was wrong with him, but it felt more depressing today than usual. When Gojo arrived he would turn the stupid Alpha away. His son was his top priority. He would check the usual haunts again, see if there was any sign of him having visited.

It wasn’t but five minutes later that Nanami heard the knock at the door. Gathering his trusted stoic nature to push the Alpha off his front porch he opened to the door to… “G-Gojo…” But Nanami only stared at the pink-haired pup beside him. The sweating pup.

“Nanami-kun! This is Yuji Itadori, he’s just presented after having a nasty case of death but he is alright now so-” Nanami pushed the other to the side to grab the now presenting young boy into his arms in the house.

Nest. He needed to make a nest.

“You dare touch what is-!” Nanami’s growl came from the very depths of his soul. Whoever had spoken shut up quickly, and Nanami didn’t give a rat’s ass about anything else. His son… HIS SON! Presenting as an Omega! There was no time.

He had to get to a nest. Get Yuji items that he could add, get the heat compress, get snacks, the movies he wanted to show Nanami all the time, and. And. And…

Nanami just held the boy close, nose stuck in the scent gland that was almost unfamiliar and was changing, but beneath it, all was the scent he’d been hunting for. Searching for the past month. He was practically in tears but held them back to just scent the poor boy who was crying right back.

The pitiful sounds of a pup in distress. It broke Nanami’s heart to not be able to just open his chest cavity and keep the pup safe completely, somewhere no one else could touch him again. The pain in his cries and his practically howling voice was enough to know that his baby had been through Hell. “I’m here, I promise, I’m here.” Nanami whimpered, discarding his suit jacket to wrap around the pup to shield him further from anyone else.

There was chuffing from the doorway, and Nanami glared at the Alpha who held his hands up in surrender. “I, uh… Didn’t know you knew him already like that.” Gojo’s voice was a whisper. Tilting his head down Gojo stared at another Alpha that was back on his ass just staring that the two Omegas on the floor. Arm curled back in alarm which seemed to be amusing to Gojo. “Since when could you manifest out here?”

“Since the Omega from Hell threatened to castrate me to my very soul if I didn’t leave the brat alone.” Sukuna glared at the six eyes, getting up onto his feet and brushing off non-existent dust. “Where has this Omega been hiding this whole time?” Though Gojo could hear the other's interest, the other explained.

“He quit being a sorcerer for a while and just started up again a few months ago. This is Nanami Kento, though I suppose you-”

“Enough,” Sukuna held up a hand, but his eyes went back to the pair. Nanami had taken his gaze off of the Alpha to scent the new Omega again. Sukuna did not think they would be stopping anytime soon. “It has been some time since I have seen an Omega that protective. Towards the end of my time in the Heian Era, Omega’s were becoming more docile.”

Gojo chuckled and stepped just a bit more into the apartment to close the door. It trapped the scents in the room, but it gave a bit more illusion that the area was more secure. “Nanami has always had more of an old soul. I suppose that doubles for his instincts.” Though, Gojo hadn’t expected this in the slightest. All of the hoopla and whining when Yuji had first joined them started to make a bit more sense though.

“Dad is going to be so mad at me for destroying another phone…”

“I wonder if Dad is going to the market today…”

“My dad is pretty traditional, but he said that I was going to get a special dinner once I presented.”

“My dad likes to read really boring books. But I caught him reading something I recommended once.”

            “Gojo-sensei… I want my dad…”

He’d said that just before he presented in the basement as well. Though Gojo had no way of knowing who the kid was talking about, he had assumed the death of his grandfather was just too much to handle on top of becoming the vessel for the King of Curses. Seems he needs to be better at asking questions.

Glancing back to the Curse Gojo cleared his throat just slightly. “How far can you go in that form?”

“Not far, though I’m assuming you’re wanting to leave them be?” Gojo nodded, looking back to Nanami who was now picking up the young Omega in his arms. The elder glared at them again, though didn’t growl at them to get out. Instead made his way to the bedrooms and slammed the door behind him.

“I’ll go get some supplies for them. Though I don’t expect Nanami to help Yuji with any of the… more heated side of it, I doubt Yuji will even go into a full-blown heat.” Sukuna raised a brow, “Omega’s that spend their heat with a family member, such as their parental Omega, makes the breeding desire really nullify. He’ll be really cuddly.” That made the curse turn his nose in disgust.

            “Breeding be nullified?”

“Instinct to not have incest. Protects bloodlines and all that. Though, I don’t remember Nanami mentioning having a pup fifteen years ago.” Gojo thought back on it and scowled. It couldn’t have been possible really…

“The brat wasn’t birthed from him. His memories state that the Elder Omega was a found family member. A friend of his fathers that stuck around after their deaths.” Sukuna crossed his arms and sighed, “I had thought the Omega was not that close with him considering how stand-offish he had been in the memories, but I seem to have miscalculated.”

Gojo snickered again at the thought of Nanami scaring the King of Curses form from his vessel. “Not the worst curse out there then, being scared off as you were?”

“There is a line that all must make in their lives, and losing mine to a protective nesting Omega was never on my list. I steered clear of them until they became so docile that eating their young was child's play. The Zenin tamed them too well in my era.” Gojo curled his mouth in disgust at the implication.

            “Gross.”

“Omega’s are meant to be protectors of young. Not breeding stock.” Sukuna’s eyes hardened just slightly before glancing back to the bedroom. “It would seem that Omega was raised correctly and I can only hope that the brat learns that trait as well,” Sukuna grinned at Gojo then, fangs hanging out over the top of his lips, “It’ll bring back something far more interesting into the world.”

Notes:

I chuckled a little too long when I thought about Sukuna just tucking tail and manifesting away from Yuji when Nanami growled at him.

Anyway, I'll do more Omega!Nanami and Pup!Yuji later on, but it likely won't follow this one-shot. If you want more like this though, I'm making a series tab where I'll write out the little ideas I get of a soft Nanami Kento and his "son" Yuji.

I hope you enjoyed! Drink some water and get out into the sunlight!
