Chapter Text
Twilight, the man of a million faces. Faces that were mere illusions, fabricated to serve a purpose best suited to progress his goals, discarded after each use. A mission requires him to steal confidential information of a major military contractor? Simple, wear the mask of Johannes, a brash heartthrob and seduce the CEO’s disgruntled wife and use the connections to “attain” information. Need to gain intel on the military of a belligerent nation? Wear the mask of Field Officer Kramerich, a grizzly imposing man and infiltrate meetings that had reason to stay behind closed doors. Needed something done stealthily? Twilight had a mask for it. And later, when all has been done, would be thrown away to cut off any loose ends.
However there was one mask that Twilight couldn’t throw away. A mask made not of latex and glue, but of skin and fibrous tissue. A mask so secretive that no one but his closest allies knew of its existence. Well, with one glaring exception. A loose end so potentially disastrous that it could lead to the demise of WISE’s greatest spy. And a loose end that came about well before Twilight held such moniker.
