“BUSTED!”
Leonardo froze at the sound of Raphael’s voice, the red-ear slider caught red-handed as he unwrapped a piece of chocolate that was literally hanging above his mouth…
“H—Ha, How? I’ve been so quiet and haven’t even touched a pan yet!” he whined.
“Leo, Leo, Leo…” Raph tsked as he walked up to his brother and placed a heavy arm around his shoulder. “Do ya really think Mikey ain’t have Donnie set an alarm to warn him if someone’s in his kitchen without permission? Especially when that someone,” he pointed at the other’s plastron. “Is you!”
The blue-banded turtle’s eyes darted around the room, looking for a type of surveillance device. When he finally noticed it, he raised a finger menacingly.
“Snitches get stitches, Donnie! If you’re lucky, since I’m the medic and all!” he threatened as he stuck out his tongue and crossed his arms. Raph shook his head as he reached over and placed a towel over the camera. The other gave him a curious look that was a touch apprehensive.
“Ain’t Donnie’s fault I had to stop ya from burning down Mikey’s kitchen,” he teased.
“Technically it’s not just his kitchen,” the other muttered with his arms still crossed. He looked over his shoulder as his only older brother pulled out a double broiler. He filled up the bottom with water then set it on the stove. “Hey, what are you doing?”
“Start unwrapping all ya little chocolates.”
“But, I was going to use them to make holiday cookies! You know, the Blossom ones? Melting them is going to ruin that, I could have gotten any chocolate if I was just going to melt—” The look on his face melted at the glare he received from the alligator snapping turtle.
“Just do it!” The smaller turtle complied, but not without grumbling the entire time. Noticing Raph cut them in half, once Leo finished unwrapping he started doing the same. They both set the pieces of chocolate in the bowl that went on top, placing it on the bottom half once they were done and the water started to boil. The oldest lowered the heat then handed the other a rubber spatula. “Start stirring.”
Leonardo nodded, stepping in front of the stove. Raphael stepped aside just enough before returning, standing directly behind him. He placed his large hands on the other’s shoulders, causing him to subtly shiver before relaxing.
“Too fast, Leo,” he murmured softly. Again he nodded, this time slowing his pace as instructed. That’s when he noticed the emerald hands gently caressing his arms, as if keeping with the flow of his arm as it stirred. He released a slow exhale, melting in his mate’s embrace like the chocolate as it lost its form and pooled into viscous consistency.
At some point he closed his eyes, lost in the methodical and almost meditative trance the movement put him in. No longer seeing a sea of brown, the scent of the cocoa washed over him and he could almost taste the chocolate in the air on his tongue. At some point he stirred from his reverie when the hands around him stopped in order to grip tightly, opening his eyes to ensure he didn’t do anything wrong. He looked over his shoulder to see onyx eyes looking down on him.
“Now ya can move faster, want it smooth and creamy...”
Raphael had an innocence about him that shown through even when he spoke seductively, at times to the point even Leonardo was unsure if he intended to sound sexual or not. He would wonder if it was just in his mind or if the other was being coy, like right now his words could be perceived at face value. After all, smooth and creamy were basic terms to describe something as simple as peanut butter. Just like the peanut butter he had planned to use for the Blossom cookies. Yet, something tickled in his brain that there was something else amiss.
That’s when he realized there was nothing there. No cookies or anything to drizzle the chocolate over. By the time they prepared anything, even following the no-bake instructions on one of the recipes, the chocolate would solidify. Unless this was just practice and Raph was teaching him how to re-melt the chocolate while he baked the cookies to use as a base?
So preoccupied with his thoughts he startled at the feeling of something warm—no, something hot—dance down his neck. He turned to see the taller terrapin withdraw a chocolate covered finger before leaning in to lick the tasty trail. With his face nuzzled above his collarbone, he could almost feel more than hear the words spoken next.
“Perfect… Ya so good with ya hands, Pretty Boy.”
Hearing the dial click to the OFF position, Leo reached over without thinking and dipped his finger into the molten mass. For a brief moment a twinge of pain shot through his digit, but like a flash in the pan it was gone as his mind focused more on what he was seeing than what he was feeling…
Slowly, he traced his finger along the center line of Raph’s scutes. Feeling a finger dance along in a wave across his own plastron, he glanced down to see what looked like a vine dotted with leaves. He replenished the chocolate on his tip, as if were dipping a quill pen into an ink well, then wrote an ornate cursive letter “L” that he drew with a flourish before adding “eo” after it.
Above the curling vine, Raph added a thick “X” so that Leo mirrored the bandages he wore. Licking his own finger and then his lips, Leo then felt himself lifted so that he was sitting on the countertop and staring eye-to-eye with his lover. Before Raph could move to do anything further, Leo leaned over and pressed both of his thumbs in the mixture—carefully ensuring they were heavily coated but not dripping as he raised his hands between them.
Gently placing his hands around Raph’s head, he pressed the tips of his thumbs above the eyes and waited for the lids to close before tracing them downwards in a crescent moon shape mirroring his own. After a few moments, the eyes carefully opened to see a thumb placed in front of his mouth while watching as the other was sucked between the very lips he wanted to kiss…
It only took one swipe with his curled tongue around the appendage to clean the chocolate off, allowing both hands the freedom to again coat its digits in the now-cooling chocolate… This time Leo dragged the digits around the bowl to cover both fingers of both hands, their destination to pattern the big biceps before him in brown versions of the yellow stripes he sported.
The eldest wiped off the last remaining traces of chocolate in the bowl with one finger which he then ran along the lips he craved the taste for. Not a moment after the final drop was dotted along his mouth did Raphael lean down to kiss Leonardo, first a chaste kiss on his snout while slipping his finger into his mouth. Once he slipped it out clean, he moved to consume the other’s mouth with his own and was surprised their heat didn’t cause the cooled confection to melt all over again so that it would drip down the corner of their mouths and fall onto Leo’s lap after following along his jaw line.
Glancing at the empty bowl, he was disappointed that there was not more left with which to paint his masterpiece a little bit more. If only he could have a few final touches more, but he looked into the smaller onyx eyes staring at him and could see his feelings reflected back. Without a word the eldest placed the bowl in the sink before pouring the water from the bottom part into it and setting it on the counter. The other just observed before he felt himself picked up and carried out.
“When’s my next baking lesson, Big Daddy?” he cooed. Feeling the other’s tongue trace along the chocolate vine on his plastron as they made their way to his bedroom, Leonardo melted once again into Raphael’s embrace.
