   Summary

   Minerva had saved him, in her own way. And in doing so merged him with an Apple, or so he thinks. Desmond sees it differently.
   Is he supposed to be thankful she let him burn, rebuilt him and then left him stranded somewhere far, far away?

   Strangely, the people here seemed to be mistaking him for someone named 'Athelstan'.

   On the upside, he's never alone, the various Assassins of old seemed to be chatty enough, in his head. Giving him a family he never had and never knew he wanted.

   Another AU exploring dimension travelling and Isu-fuckery: What would happen if a certain assassin looks a lot like a certain priest. With strange memories? Dreams? A figment of his imagination? Plaguing him. A twin-story? Or a doppelgänger?
