Work Text:
You miss her and you hadn’t expected that to be the case.
From the beginning, Sansa Stark had been a pawn to you, someone to be manipulated in the direction that would best benefit you and your family.
There were days when you felt sorry for how easy it had been to win her over, to bring her to your side, how starved she was for someone, anyone, to show her kindness. The way she didn’t mind being used as long as the person doing it didn’t ask for her pain, her humiliation. The sparkle in her eyes when she heard you talk about the flowers in Highgarden and the kindness of your brothers, the kind of life she could have if she followed the path you had laid out for her.
But there was a sparkle in her eyes just watching you walk towards her. There was the blush on her face when your fingers brushed against each other. And there was the way her gaze would sometimes fall to your lips as if she were imagining what it would be like to feel them against her. She wasn't your salvation the way you were to her. But you were sure your eyes must have lit up too when you looked at her.
And now she's gone and you're Queen like you always wanted to be.
And you hope there are flowers wherever she is.
