Summary
Short piece that explores what could have happened if Vi was in the frontlines with Caitlyn during the final battle, meaning she had a front row seat to Caitlyn's public execution. This is kinda heavy on the angst and might be a little dark. No sad ending - I promise.
Her brain couldn’t compute anything other than Caitlyn’s unconscious form being dragged across the concrete, heeled boots scuffing loose rocks and dirt smearing onto pale skin. But she didn’t look away from the gloved hands that heaved with effort until they dropped her carelessly, letting her head bounce off the ground.
