Sparkling Cookie starts the day in the juice bar with his usual smile. It is not long before Vampire Cookie appears at the door. Sparkling waves happily as he asks, "The usual?" Unsurprisingly, Vampire nods and sits on one of the seats.
Everything was going nice with the charming bartender, but something caught his eye. Herb Cookie, the local florist, was chasing a small child who seemed to be Pancake Cookie in his chaotic demeanor. Sparkling smiles unconsciously and Vampire notices, he smirks.
"So, Herb am I right? When do you plan to tell him?" Vampire asks playfully
"W-what? What do you mean?" Sparkling asks nervously, clearly startled by the comment "Tell him what? I-I'm not in love with him or anything"
Vampire laughs "Come oooon, it's clearer than water" He teases "Don't pull the tsundere card on me"
Mint Choco enters the bar a bit tired "Hey guys, what's up?"
"Hey Mint, help me over here with 'sir doesn't-want-to-accept-that-he's-in-love'" Vampire says as Sparkling blushes behind the counter
"You're still bothering him with that?" Mint Choco Cookie chuckles, amused by the scene
Sparkling sighs and crosses his arms, the blush still present on his face. "What do you want today, Mint?" he says, trying to shake off the thought. He looks at Herb one last time before continuing his job.
Herb Cookie finally catches Pancake Cookie, Pancake is laughing and moving his legs.
"Woah there lil' seed! You could hurt yourself if you run like that!" Herb carefully places the child on the ground, Pancake flaps his arms
"I hope we're not too late" Cherry Blossom Cookie says, at her side is her little sister Cherry Cookie
Cherry Cookie approaches Pancake "Let's play!" She grabs her cherry bombs, bombs filled with nothing more than cherry blossom petals that her older sister left there for her to play "let's go boom boom!"
"yes! I'll throw the bombs while I'm flying!" Pancake climbs up a tree with one of the bombs, Cherry Cookie follows him
While the kids play, Cherry Blossom Cookie and Herb Cookie are inside the shop
"what do you think of these flowers? oh oh, and what about these!?" Herb asks Cherry Blossom while making a flower bouquet
"I think all of those are lovely" She chuckles "Sparkling Cookie sure is a lucky gentleman"
Herb blushes "W-well, I still don't know if he's going to say yes"
"Why wouldn't he? You're nice, handsome... I can't think of any reason for him to reject you"
"He's allowed not to like me, I'm just nervous about how he's going to say it" He sighs
Cherry Blossom smiles warmly and puts a hand on his shoulder "Sparkling is kind, if he says no he will say it politely, so don't worry"
Herb smiles at her and whispers "Thank you" he then keeps choosing flowers to add to the bouquet. A few hours later that night Herb is going to see Sparkling just before the bar closes, he walks nervously thinking about every possibility. All the possible tragic scenes that could happen just keep replaying in his head and it makes him feel scared. Soon, the sound of Sparkling preparing to close the bar interrupts his thoughts, and he decides to just go inside and do it.
"Uhm... Hi, Spark" Herb says after clearing his throat, Sparkling jumps a bit startled.
"Ah, Herb!" He smiles "It's nice to see you, do you need something?"
"Yes, I... I want to talk"
"Alright, what is it?" he asks blushing, a thought suddenly comes into his head but he decides to let Herb speak first
Herb takes a deep breath "I... well... You know I love being friends with you, but these days I've been feeling... more for you, to say the least" With another deep breath he hands the flower bouquet to Sparkling, is full of colorful and shining flowers "I love you Spark, I love... everything about you, and... I would like to be your partner" He sighs after finishing his confession, glad that he finally found the courage to do it
Sparkling is at a loss of words, his cheeks are burning and his lips form a smile, he chuckles "Haha, I was thinking of how should I confess, I'm glad you took that step"
"Really?" Herb chuckles softly at the irony "Then is that a yes?"
Sparkling grabs Herb's hips pulling him closer "It's a 'I love you too, darling'" He kisses Herb gently, Herb kisses him back grabbing his hand
