Summary
Shauna had smiled at Jackie like there was not another soul on Earth, and from that day forward, Jackie wanted to replicate that smile as much as possible. She knew she could be overbearing, but it came from a place of love. Perhaps the love had been twisted over time, time eats at all things slowly, but it was still there, under everything Jackie ever did.
That’s why, to her, it was rational to sit on the log; because if Shauna didn’t want her there was no point. The world had come to an end in Jackie’s eyes.
