Summary
Detective Park Seonghwa is the best his department has. In Port Ulsan, crime is rare, and escaping justice is rarer still, for Seonghwa misses nothing.
When high-profile politician Choi Shimu is found dead, Seonghwa takes the case. The scene offers little—shattered glass, no signs of struggle, a single stab wound to the heart. He enlists Hongjoong, a cabaret performer entwined with the victim and his family, to navigate the shadows of Shimu’s life. But when everyone lies, every acquaintance, including Hongjoong, becomes a suspect.
If that wasn’t enough of a headache, Hongjoong confesses he had planned to kill Shimu himself that night. Only to find, when he arrived at the mansion, someone had beaten him to it.
