Summary
Natalie imagines spending Christmas on their campus, with Lottie, who she’s known for three whole days, and it already sounds better than going home for Christmas and spending it with her mother. She pictures the campus, blanketed in snow, compared to the black sludge that covers the trailer park. She pictures waking up in a warm bed, she can almost feel the warmth now, instead of burying herself under blankets and still being cold in their unheated trailer.
