   Summary

   The war is over. Izuku won the battle but lost One for All. The embers allow him to return to UA, finish school, and become a hero. Yet, they’re only temporary. Now quirkless again, he looks for other ways to help people. His friends support him. So does Katsuki. His dream isn’t over. Not yet. He still has a future.

   That isn’t true for everyone. When Izuku said goodbye to his quirk, he also said goodbye to Tomura Shigaraki. The villain was destroyed along with his master. He couldn’t be saved and years later, that still weighs heavily on him.

   So, when the haunting vestige of a man long dead reaches out to him in his dreams, Izuku believes he’s going crazy. The guilt must be messing with his mind. This is impossible. Shigaraki is gone... right?
