Midnight was rushing through the bustling streets of the city, her cape fluttering in the wind as she made her way to the next emergency call. The sirens wailed in the distance, a constant reminder of the chaos that lurked around every corner. It was in this hurry that she bumped into Mt. Lady, the towering heroine with the power of gigantification.
Midnight's eyes shot up to meet Mt. Lady's, which sparkled with a newfound confidence. "Hey, Midnight," Mt. Lady said, her voice booming as it usually did when she was in her giant form. But today, she was only slightly taller than usual, her quirk not fully activated. "It's been a while since we last saw each other. How's the hero business treating you?"
Midnight stumbled back, surprised by the gentle touch of Mt. Lady's hand on her shoulder. "Oh, it's the usual," she replied, trying to regain her composure. "Villains trying to take over the city, citizens in distress, you know the drill." She couldn't help but notice the change in Mt. Lady's physique. Her muscles looked more defined, and there was a certain glow to her skin that hadn't been there before. "But you, you look fantastic! What's your secret?"
Mt. Lady grinned, her teeth gleaming in the neon lights of the city. "Just a new workout routine," she said with a wink. "one hundred push-ups, one hundred sit-ups, a ten-kilometer run..." She trailed off, her eyes glazing over with the excitement of sharing her newfound strength. "Oh! And a banana for dessert."
Midnight chuckled. "That is... Not even that intense, you know?"
Mt. Lady leaned in, her eyes gleaming. "But it certainly worked for me. Do you wanna see how big i can get now?"
Midnight's eyes widened. "Wait, what?"
Mt. Lady didn't wait for a response, and just began to grow. Her body expanded at an alarming rate, her clothes, made from her own hair, struggling to keep up with her as she shot past her usual limits. Soon she was towering over the city itself. The air trembled with each pulse of power that surged through her veins.
Midnight watched in awe as Mt. Lady grew beyond the limits of the atmosphere, her body a colossal monument to power. "What the actual fuck!" she exclaimed, unable to believe her eyes.
Mt. Lady's quirk allows her to grow, but her maximum size is only about 70 feet. But the giantess that dwarfed the entire metropolis was more like 70 kilometers in height. Her face, now a giant moon in the sky, beamed down at Midnight. "Isn't it amazing?" she called out, her voice now a deafening thunder.
She crouched down and picked up the piece of street Midnight was on with the tip of her fingernail. "Don't worry, I won't let you fall!" she shouted.
Midnight clung to the concrete for dear life as she was tossed into her gargantuan friend's cleavage. "What are you doing?!" she screamed over the wind that was now whipping around them.
Mt. Lady just chuckled. "I'm just showing you how much I've improved," she said, taking a step fowards until her right foot was obscuring the city's view of the sun. One of the threads of her sock collided with a skyscraper, cutting it in half.
"I could 'put my foot down', and end the crime in this city forever," she said with a playful grin. She looked down at Midnight, who was now just a speck in her vast expanse of skin. "Nah, don't worry. I was just joking," she added, her voice echoing through the sky.
"You're insane! How can you be so calm about this? You're so... big!"
Mt. Lady just shrugged, the gesture causing a tremor that could be felt for miles. "You're easily impressed, huh? I haven't even started growing for real," she said with a glint in her eye.
Midnight stared up at Mt. Lady in horror and disbelief. "What do you mean?" she managed to get out.
With a casual wave of her hand, Mt. Lady grew again, her body stretching out to swallow the horizon. "You'll see," she said, her voice now more of a rumble than anything else. The ground beneath them trembled and cracked as she grew, breaking tectonic plates under her feet.
And then, with a sudden jerk, she grew so massive that she outgrew the planet itself. Instead of her standing on the planet, Earth was now sandwiched between her soles.
"This is more like it. I planned to grow to this size directly, but i forgot to pick you up first," she said, as she played with the planet like a stress ball.
Midnight clung to the fabric of Mt. Lady's costume, her mind racing with the implications. "What are you going to do with the Earth?"
Mt. Lady looked down at the planet with a frown. "Oh, true. I'll probably destroy it by accident if i grow more." She pinched the planet between her thumb and index finger, her fingertips crushing the polar icecaps.
"🎶Wheeeere should i put yoooou🎶" she sang, swinging her hand back and forth. "Hey, how about I swallow it?" she asked, her mouth opening wide.
"No! No, please, don't!" Midnight screamed, though she doubted she could even be heard across the massive distance that separated her from Mt. Lady's ear.
But Mt. Lady was already in the process of swallowing the planet whole. It took a few gulps, but eventually, the Earth was gone, disappearing into her mouth. "Much better," she said, patting her stomach. "Now we can have some real fun without worrying about collateral damage."
Midnight stared as the bulge descended down Mt. Lady's throat. In there was the entire planet, with all its inhabitants. "You... Did you just..."
"Relax! I'll put it back when we're done," she said with a wink. "Besides, my belly is about to get a whole lot roomier. And the rest of the universe a lot messier!"
Mt. Lady leaned back, her body now so large that the fabric of reality itself was stretching around her. "Alright, let's keep going," she said with excitement in her voice.
Without warning, she placed her legs around the sun and began to squeeze. The star squelched and popped like a giant zit, sending solar flares shooting in every direction. "Mm, it's so squishy!" she exclaimed.
Midnight was in awe. "What are you doing?!" she yelled, her voice barely audible against the cosmic background noise.
Mt. Lady just shrugged. "Just entertaining myself between growth spurts." Her body continued to grow in small intervals. The sun's remains were quickly to small to be seen anymore. "And besides, it's a good warm up."
Next, she grabbed a black hole with her fingers, which was like a marble in her grip. She squeezed it between her legs until it was nothing but a smear of spacetime. "This is fun!" she exclaimed.
Midnight felt a strange mix of fear and exhilaration. "This... this is... I don't know what to call it!"
"How about a 'tight-crush marathon'?" Mt. Lady suggested, her voice echoing through the vastness of space. "I've always wanted to try it!"
Midnight could only nod as Mt. Lady's body grew even larger, reaching out to grab a galaxy with her other hand. She shoved it up her butt and began to squeeze, her ass cheeks grinding milions of star systems into dust.
The sheer power on display was both terrifying and mesmerizing. "Is... is there a limit to how big you can get?" Midnight managed to ask.
Mt. Lady just laughed. "Don't worry, I've got this all figured out," she said, as she began to grow faster and faster. The universe around them stretched and distorted with every pulse of her power.
Her height doubled every minute, and that interval was quickly getting shorter and shorter. It was like an endless spiral of growth, quickly approaching...
# *BONK*
Infinity
"Ouch, my head," Mt. Lady said, rubbing her forehead. She had just collided with the end of the universe. She looked around, realizing she had outgrown everything she knew.
Midnight was speechless, floating in space with a look of pure shock. Her gargantuan friend seemed to be right there, and incredibly far away at the same time, as if she occupied every bit of space avaliable. "Mt. Lady, you're... you're..."
"Infinite!" Mt. Lady exclaimed, finishing her sentence. "Isn't it amazing?"
Midnight nodded, still unable to comprehend the scale of what she was witnessing. "I get now why you needed to eat the Earth," she murmured. "Your body has occupied everywhere else, crushing anything in your way..."
"Yeah, universal destruction is a nasty side-effect of my power," Mt. Lady said with a sigh. The boundaries of existance surrounded her like a plastic wrap, stretching as she tried to move. It looked kinda claustrophobic.
"You look like you're trapped in a tiny room," Midnight observed. "Even if you're as big as you can possibly be."
Mt. Lady stopped for a moment, looked down at Midnight, and laughed. She kept laughing, her giggle echoing through the void, tears falling from her infinitely big eyes. "You're so cute when you think there's a limit to anything!"
With that, she pushed her hand through the fabric of reality, tearing a hole to the next dimension. "Hang on tight, Midnight," she said, "I'm going to *actually* get big now!"
And she grew, faster than ever before. The universe around them was now like a grain of sand between her toes. She stepped through the tear into the void between dimensions, and continued to expand.
"W-What's happening?" Midnight shouted as she struggled to not be dragged away by the interversal currents.
Mt. Lady looked down at her with a grin. "I'm growing, dummy! You didn't think that was it, did you?"
The dimensions stretched around her, until they too were insignificant compared to her size. "First off, multiverses," she said, snatching a few with her fingers, popping them like bubble wrap. "These are just groups of universes that share a common origin."
Midnight's mind was racing. "What's next?" she managed to ask.
"Ah, now we're getting to the good stuff," Mt. Lady said, her voice echoing through the cosmic void. "Superverses. These are like the ultimate collector's editions of reality, containing countless multiverses."
The superverses looked like tiny soap bubbles to her, and she popped them one by one, her body growing with each one. "But even these are too small for me," she mused. "I've got to go even bigger."
"Is there even anything beyond that?" Midnight yelled, her voice strained from the effort of speaking in the thinning reality.
Mt. Lady nodded. "Oh, yes. Omniverses. They're like the... the... well, the biggest thing you can imagine. But even they are just ... a... snack... to... me... no... w..."
Midnight passed out, unable to handle the sheer scale of Mt. Lady's growth. When she came to, she was nestled in Mt. Lady's hair, looking out over an expanse of nothingness.
"You okay?" Mt. Lady asked, her voice now softer than ever. She had returned to human size, but the expanse around them was one of pure nothingness, lacking even empty space. They were definitely not on Earth anymore.
Midnight nodded weakly. "I think so," she whispered. "What happened?"
"I think you passed out," Mt. Lady said, her expression filled with concern. "You missed seeing me outgrow the outerverses and omegaverses. Those were quite cool, by the way."
Midnight looked around, her eyes wide with wonder. "Where are we?"
"Beyond everything," Mt. Lady said, her voice filled with a mix of pride and amazement. "I've outgrown the concept of size itself. Which is why i can stand before you, yet still contain the entirety of existence in my palm."
Midnight looked at her hand, and indeed, she saw a tiny universe in it, with planets orbiting a star, and stars swirling around a galaxy. Looking up, she saw Mt. Lady's face, a giant moon in the sky, smiling down at her.
"It's easier to use a projection," she explained, holding out her hand. "But I can be anywhere, any size, any time."
Midnight was in awe. "You're a goddess," she murmured.
Mt. Lady chuckled. "No, I'm just a girl with a really good workout routine." She placed the tiny universe back into the palm of her hand and closed it into a fist. "Honestly i don't know what to do with all this power," she said, sounding a bit overwhelmed.
"Maybe we should go back?" Midnight suggested, her voice shaking.
Mt. Lady nodded. "For sure, but there's one last thing i wanna show you first."
Mt. Lady's giant self snapped her fingers, as one would do to call a buttler. In response, a multitude of her parallel selves appeared around them. Some were only slightly larger than planets, while others were so vast they could swallow entire superclusters whole.
They all looked at her with admiration, the biggest ones even seeming jealous. "These are the Mt. Ladies of other universes," she said, her voice calm and collected. "We had a competition, and guess who won?"
Midnight stared at the towering figures. "What are they doing here?"
"They're my pets now," Mt. Lady said, a smug smile playing on her lips. "They're so cute when they're tiny like this."
She took off her shoes, which had enough volume to hold all of reality, and shouted into the void. "Come on, girls! Go rub my feet!"
The parallel Mt. Ladies scurried over, their movements adorable and comical as they tried to serve her. "Look at them go," she said, her eyes gleaming with power. "They're so eager to please me."
Midnight watched in amazement as the cosmic dance unfolded before her. "You've become something... something unstoppable," she whispered.
Mt. Lady nodded. "But don't worry, I won't let it go to my head."
The scene was so absurd, so awe-inspiring, that Midnight couldn't help but laugh.
***
Midnight opened her eyes to a familiar location. The street where she had met Mt. Lady this morning. And there she was, doing the same silly walk she always did.
"was it a dream?" she thought, looking around. "Mt. Lady did not actually turn into a god, did she?"
But then she saw something glinting between Mt. Lady's teeth. A tiny universe. "Wait, no way," she murmured.
Mt. Lady turned to her, her teeth sparkling in the light. "Hey, Midnight," she said, her voice back to normal. "You okay?"
Midnight nodded, still in shock. "I think so," she said. "What was that?"
Mt. Lady shrugged. "Just a little trick I picked up," she said, nonchalantly flicking the universe out of her mouth. "Wanna grab some ice cream?"
Midnight nodded, still trying to wrap her head around the experience. "Yeah, sure," she said, her voice still shaking.
As they walked away, Mt. Lady's hand shot out and caught the universe, popping it into her mouth like a piece of gum. "Mmm, universe mint," she said with a smile.
Midnight couldn't help but wonder if it was all just a hallucination, a side effect of some kind of power surge. But every time she looked at Mt. Lady, she saw the hint of something more. Something that made her feel both safe and utterly insignificant at the same time.
