   Summary

   Mel smiles again and nods, moving to leave. She glances back at the pictures on the desk and, maybe against her better judgement, lets herself comment, “You have a beautiful family.”

   Cassandra’s whole demeanor softens in a way Mel hasn’t seen before. “Thank you. You know, Caitlyn will be your colleague one day.”

   “I assumed as much. I’m sure she’ll take to it every bit as well as you have.”

   “Hmm, one can only hope.”

   When Mel was banished from Noxus, she was roughly the same age Caitlyn was when Ambessa sunk her claws into her. Cassandra was a great woman, and a good friend of Mel’s. A small character study that might be expanded of a few characters I wish we got to see more of interacting with each other.
